Really amazing cafe that differentiates itself by making their entire pastry case in-house. It was…read morereally hard to select anything to eat because all the pastries were fresh and beautifully baked with toasted with a rich golden brown. I got the savory pie that was stuffed with an unctuous gumbo filling made with creole spices, the holy trinity (onions, peppers, and celery), and a generous portion of chicken. The pie pastry had a perfect flaky crumb that held the filling together. A friend had their breakfast sandwich, which had a rustic and delightful tang from the inclusion of sourdough in the biscuit batter that paired well with the thick slab of egg and crispy bacon. Incredibly savory items. I'm always gravitated towards how well a cafe can do a savory menu and this exceed my expectations. Friends I came in with who got their coffee said that it was very delicious, and the baristas can make a beautiful frothy and rich matcha latte. Its both parts technical skills to pull coffee or whisk matcha and sourcing of high-quality ingredients. Drinks make up a large part of any cafe, so to do it well here in this neighborhood cafe is exceptional. The baristas are running that place like a tight ship! Tip well!

Their biscuit sandwiches are good for the biscuits, if at the high side of what they should cost when compared to nearby competitors. Their coffee and teas are oddly so so, again it's a really rough coffee market in DC and this place maybe only struggled some because of the interest of the staff or their overall menu, haven't been enough to figure it out. I would likely swing by if I had to, but would avoid most of their drinks and probably focus on something small. They have fun designs for merch.

Nice boutique cafe with a galore of croissants, donuts, cookies with some seasonal/weekly specials…read more I've made my rounds through the menu and ate more pastries than I can count! The seasonal Donuts and the Croissant Tarts keep me coming back! Best Donuts - Pumpkin Pie Donut, Tiramisu Donut, Boston Cream, and Hot Cocoa Nutella donut. The Strawberry and Raspberry have a Jelly/Jam filling, and wasn't a big fan of the Cookie Butter Donut that tasted like creamy peanut butter or the Cannoli donut that didn't have the sweet creamy filling that I was hoping for. Croissant Tarts - Both the sweet and savory tarts deliver! The Raspberry Cream Cheese Tart, Red Pepper Feta Tart, Apple Tart, and Everything Tart are all delicious! The classic Garlic Spinach Tart and Shroom Tart are fine. Best Croissants - Christmas Tree Raspberry Croissant, Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse Croissant, Apple Butter Crumble Croissant, Almond Croissant, and Matcha Croissant. For Valentine's Day, the Linzer sugar cookie filled with raspberry jam was delicious! So glad I grabbed the last one by 11am on Saturday! All of the fillings with the donuts and croissants are whipped and pretty light. There's a parking garage next door and you can get parking validated for 1 hour. While there's plenty of seating inside, it can get packed over the weekends. There's no outdoor seating (there's some makeshift seating around the high-rise building). Great local bakery with a lot of baked goodies to choose from!

Cool coffee shop, the vibe is amazing. Definitely a spot you can go to and get some work done…read morewithout feeling rushed. Coffee was solid, smooth and well made. The whole setup just feels different in a good way. If you're into rock climbing, Vertical Rock is right beside it which makes it even better. You've got people coming in and out, working, climbing, just a good mix of energy all around. I'll definitely be back.

They're located below the Vertical Rock Climbing & Fitness Center, so it's super convenient for those who have an appointment to stop by before or afterwards. We stopped by for a caffeine fix, and ordered: +an Apple Square - it was stated that this would be heated, but it was served cold +a latte with oat milk - we requested this to be extra hot, and it was more lukewarm +the Spiced Demerara Latte - prepared with brown sugar and cinnamon syrup; this was requested to be extra hot, and it was more lukewarm; the coffee itself was strong, though Not sure if the barista was overwhelmed, but it took quite some time to get our latte - we went up a couple of times, and they stated that it should be coming out soon, but it didn't. The main issue was that there seemed to be a leak from the ceiling; they had the seating area sectioned off, but it reeked of mildew/old dishrag, which was pretty gross and unpleasant, especially if you're trying to enjoy a bite and a drink. Ample parking, but it can be slightly narrow to get in and out. No dice, Basecamp. +lukewarm coffee +cold pastries +unpleasant odors

What's not to love about this place! It's wicked! Lol...The decor put British culture on full…read moredisplay, it was simply cute. Be warned, you'd fall in love the minute you step through the door. Service: quick and the staff was very friendly! Seating: lots of seating inside and few cute seating outside. Parking: no street parking available but there is a small shopping center next to the restaurant and patrons were able to park there. Price range: Breakfast entrees for under $20-a steal! And the portions were quite generous. Ambiance: they have a full cafe which offers various lattes, espresso, and teas. Also, there is a bar towards the back of the restaurant. We visited during the morning so the bar was not opened but I would love to come back and try their specialty cocktails. Drinks: my boyfriend ordered the toasted coconut iced latte and I had the iced latte with coconut milk. The drinks were refreshing and a sure caffeinated pick me up lol Food: To share we ordered the fruity pebbles pancakes with a side of bacon and the egg & vegetables scramble. Fruity pebbles pancakes: these were a pancake lover's dream. Crispy around the edges and buttery soft on the inside. The fruity pebbles were a cute compliment but it did not make the pancakes overly sweet. It was balanced just right. Egg & vegetables scramble was sooooooooooo delicious. A very refreshing dish paired with a side of amazing sliced potatoes and toast. We did not have the toast since we were eating pancakes but I did nibble on a few of the potatoes and they were perfect. The scrambled eggs contained an abundance of fresh tomatoes and spinach, all sautéed together. Overall, this was an amazing dining experience and one that I'm glad to have found. Definitely worth the trip again.

I've wanted to try this place for a long time, and honestly, it was a letdown…read more I walked in with one other person--so a party of two--and while it was busy, there were clearly open tables. We were told we could sit at the bar or outside, but when we asked for one of the open tables, we were denied because they were "reserved for parties of three." That just doesn't make sense. We're still paying customers, ready to order food and drinks. Denying service like that--especially with empty tables in plain sight--feels unnecessary and rigid. I even asked twice, hoping for a little flexibility, but the answer didn't change. I work in the service industry, and this is exactly the kind of situation where you make an exception or use some common sense. Instead, it felt like policy over hospitality. Really disappointing experience for a place I was excited to try.
