Workers are actually nice here and don't follow you around the store like other locations.

I just had to post a review, because this is truly one of the strangest RaceTracs. Go at a "good"…read moretime, you get good employees. The standout people are Zendiah (sp?), a manager who works her butt off, and Kyle. Zendiah is a WONDERFUL manager - having been in retail myself, I know far too many who get the title and suddenly see themselves too good for other work. Not her - she's checking product in, then gives you NO wait time at the register - and I'm always given such a friendly welcome. I'm always happy to see her around. Kyle is incredible, too. He "knows" me, and is always super-friendly. He, as well, is a great worker - I went in today, and the cash registers were malfunctioning - I know what an absolute tailspin that can throw you into. He was cool as a cucumber, running TWO (!) all by himself. Still, the entire time, the warm welcome. Jennifer is sweet, too. Quiet (which I like), but with warmth. But then, on the other end, you get, I think, his name is Eric, and a white dude who looks like a young Brian Austin Green. These two both act as if you being there is, at best, a sidenote. Both are dismissive at the register, and make you feel a waste of time. Tonight, though, was the double-up...only those two running registers. I went up to Brian Austin's register, but Eric was there, too. NEITHER even LOOKED at me. They were too engrossed in the chat they were having. After my sale went through, as if to say, "I sorta wanna keep my job," both muttered a "thanks," before resuming their time-consuming conversation.

This race track location Hass to be the worst manage one out of all of them. I love race track for…read moremany reasons. I like to get my gas going and then walking to the store and purchase something. However, this gas station prevents me from doing that. 50% of the time that I am there and I am not exaggerating. The gas station keeps on clicking off so I have to stand there and pump in the gas . 50% of the time also there's no paper in the receipt container. So I have to walk inside to get the printed receipt. Are they trying to keep people from going inside the store not pissed off. I have complain to the Area Manager several times. It just continues to happen. I complain to the general manager today because he was visible. He told me he was going to fix it. I know it won't happen. This is the reason why I always loved racetrack over smaller gas stations. I get it. If they force you to come inside to get a receipt, you'll buy something at the store. That's an old trick in sales. However, you Gotta be smart enough to at least keep your gas pumps running, so I can walk inside.

Special Note: The five stars rating is for the best green salsa in the DFW area, that I have tried…read moreso far. If not for the green salsa, I'm not sure it would have gotten a review, much less noticed. Valero's is a gas station, a convenient store, with a little Mexican restaurant in the back. Walk inside Valero's here, and off to the right in the back is literally a hole in the wall. The down side: They only have only three little tables, and you fend for yourself. The Valero's here is not that great, but the gem is it has probably the best green salsa in the DFW area that I have tried so far. The ticket here is the green salsa pollo (chicken) soft tacos. These soft tacos have marinated chicken pieces with onion, cilantro, and green salsa. They serve it with a small piece of lime, squeezed over the top and enjoy. That green sauce has just the right amount of spice, if you're a sissy in that department squeeze a little extra lime; or just leave your purse at home Alice and give it a try. Now mind you, it's not like a hot habanero sauce, but it will get your attention. Pull up your adventure boots, and come try a few. I usually get three to five to go. Whatever you do, get some extra green salsa to go. Depending on the time of day you may not have the option to sit down there. Around lunch time the place is pact. It is best to get your tacos to go. Oh, I hear some more soft tacos calling my name.

So I didn't come to buy the gas, I've come to buy the tacos! From the outside this looks like any…read moreother gas station. I've always wondered how people find these little gems, to be honest I wouldn't ever see myself stopping here. So as you make you way through the gas station, make note of the "poker supplies" area they have there as well.....just incase you ever need poker supplies. Close to that area is the taco stand! I was on limited time and worried it would take a bit to get things going, but my order came out in no time at all...two tacos and one quesadilla. The beef taco was amazing, freshly seasoned and as expected plain, but full of flavor. The chicken wasn't as impressive, but still pretty good. Also there needs to be a mention of the drinks they have up front. I just happened to try one of the melon drinks out and plain on coming back just for that drink....amazing! Staff was friendly and if you are ever in the neighborhood I would suggest stopping by. All items were priced just right and everything hit the sport perfect. I'll be back very soon!
