I drove an hour to the store and when I arrived, I was told by the boss they wanted $1000 now! They literally doubled the price on me. Ok hear me out. This grocery store is on the pricier side. But I love that it's right in my…read moreneighborhood, that all the food sold is on the healthier side and that their guacamole is the bomb.com A friend brought some guacamole to a recent cinco de mayo party that we had and I've been hooked ever since. It's so creamy and the flavor is 10/10! The interior of the grocery store is clean, well organized and the staff is friendly. It definitely looks like they know their regulars well. What I loved most about the grocery store aside from the guac was the samples that they offer and their fresh flowers. Check it out if you're in Brookland.

There just isn't much of a selection and everything is really expensive (like Whole Foods without any sales). Also, I came in on a hot day with my toddler grandson. We were looking for a cold sugar-free (no added sugars) drink. All they had were drinks that contained a ton of sugar or CBD or hemp. This store is in a food desert, so it'd be nice to have some cold organic or simple clean drinks that the whole family can enjoy. The cashiers and store workers are kind and helpful, though.

There's a clear distinction between maintaining a professional environment and making people feel uncomfortable or unwelcome for seemingly no reason. I've been trying to refrain from leaving a review for a few years now but I was born and raised here and I'm not going to be subject to this type of unprofessionalism when we've welcomed you into our neighborhood. So if you want to just go in and get out real quick this is the place to go but if you're looking for any type of customer service at all I highly recommend if the woman is behind the counter to find a new place to do business because she is less than accommodating and unprofessional and doesn't mind raising her voice and being rude even when she's in the wrong. she looks down on black people in general even though she is from ethiopia. She has no idea that I have several degrees and work for the Federal aviation administration . She shouldn't have to know that in order to provide adequate customer service and not act biased towards her own people. I hate having to leave this review but she has been at the very least consistent in her inability to be cordial and not be running her mouth on the phone while dealing with customers.
