I love DC Costcos!! Especially this location. I got here early, and to my surprise I found parking immediately. People here were nice and civil. People know how to navigate their carts. I love doing all of my shopping in one place. I love their alcohol selections!! Yass!! They also have HU merch!! Check out lanes are fast and efficient. read more

I rejoined Costco after a ten year absence. I visited Pentagon City and this DC location. The employees are not welcoming. It seems like they are consumed with keeping people out instead of welcoming customers in. It is easy to explain rules while being kind. Pentagon City had grumpy employees too. There are some great items. I purchased a six pack of tofu. I walked around the entire store to see what I would be missing if I cancelled. I won't be missing much. The clothing inventory isn't much. The items are cheaply made. If you have a large family, you might appreciate giant quantities. I prefer regular sized items in multiple quantities. The web site mentions satisfaction guaranteed and members can quit at anytime. I am canceling my membership. read more

This is a very busy location, in my opinion because of the proximity to the city AND the fact that they sell alcohol along with beer and wine. If you something you like, get it; it likely won't be there when you come back unless it's a standard item. I've never gotten tire services, but it's always busy. It's happened to me a few times. Their selection of roses specifically is very fresh. Great prices, great return policy. The staff is super helpful and nice. If you have the black card, get in there early. IYKYK. read more

It's a shame I have to drive all the way down to DC to purchase alcohol from Costco but it is what it is. I decided to go on Monday since it was Veterans Day and I knew most federal workers would be off so DC shouldn't be that crazy of a drive to get to. Being completely aware Costco only accepts Visa card payments, I was in a rush to add my card to my Samsung pay app so that I could be great. As we walked into the store I noticed a gorgeous display of their large grazing board. It was a beautiful herringbone bone design like you'll see in the picture and only $19.99. There were so many different unique finds in Costco that it was hard for me to stay focused. I was comparing some of their prices to the other two major box clubs and found they were less expensive on a few items. I was hoping they would have No the Advent calendar boxes but they did not have them just yet. They did have a few Christmas themed beverages but nothing to catch my eye. I'm still holding out for my advent box. read more

Costco on Market Street NE, DC is decent. The team members are extremely customer savvy, product knowledgeable and plain old kind. It makes my visits so pleasant. read more

This a good Costco to go to for many reasons - if you are in the DC area and want to get gas (and don't mind waiting in line), buy everything Costco has to offer, and also get alcohol and wine at the same time Now for the challenges here: - Parking can be a challenge here and may take a bit to find a spot. - Also, as mentioned above, the wait for gas can take a while - enough for your kid to graduate High School - And finally, the long and narrow area to exit the store - feels like getting to a ride at Universal Studios in the middle of Summer! Why does it have to be such a pain to leave the store after buying more stuff that we need? Can't the Costco geniuses (and there are many working at the company) design a better exit lane? The rest of the shopping experience is good and more like the Costco we have come to love and support. And the cherry on the top is the food tastings Customer service is good as well - they checkout folks at a great speed and make it easy to move through the checkout lanes. Availability of alcohol makes the trip totally worth it. read more

Great deals at times. Great quick eats before or after the Costco run! Even some quality and good brands clothes are great purchases. Good value compared to Safeway and other stores if it comes to certain products. Have been a member at Costco over 8 years. read more

I requested to add a member and return 2 items. Customer service rep Garrett has the best personality and customer service. The gas is always the best price and value. The other Customer service rep who had a nice personality was a young woman and I totally forgot her name by time I came back to finish my review. Sorry. I typically enjoy my shopping experience. The only time I ever came across anyone with negative customer service...it has always been at the tire center front desk. The women who work at that desk don't seem to enjoy their jobs or they just have an attitude, but I don't go over there anymore due to that reason. I just go to the Infiniti dealership instead. read more

Service, quality, and value. All worth the purchase for lifetime. I have been a member for over 20 years and I enjoy it.

Having to live in the tri-state can have its pros and cons. Somethings that are allowed in one state may not be the same 5 minutes across the bridge for example Costco in DC. I love this place out of all the costcos I've used in the DMV for multi reasons. Hear me out all costcos aren't created equal . In DC Costco u get all the goods same as other stores as well as a gas station but what's sets them apart it that DC's locations allows you to buy Liquor at whole sale as well not just wine and beer which are restrictions in like your Virginia costcos. Planning a get together, dinner party etc. Well you can get your favorite name brands as well as what I call alternative unknowns that serves your occasion better. They're of quality and quantity choice better pricing you can't go wrong read more

What's not to love about Costco?! This is my favorite costco to frequent because it's just across the Washington DC line which means it sells liquor! (Huge advantage over the MD Costcos) Like all Costcos, the crowds are real -- especially on weekend mornings when the whole world is out running weekly errands. I tend to arrive around 12-1ish pm which puts me right in the rush. Even still, the parking lot is manageable thanks to the traffic attendants who help keep things moving. The store is just as you'd expect it on the inside - huge warehouse with bulk products of every sort, food counter with the costco classics, and sampler counters to try a few products they're pushing that day. Despite the large crowds, it's always clean inside and I appreciate how quick and friendly the cashiers are; they keep people moving to and through lines in an organized way. My favorite sections are the liquor, where they have all the beer, wine, and alcohol you could dream of for very low prices. The Kirkland brand liquor is LEGIT - their rums, whiskeys, and tequilas especially are great considering the price. My other favorite section is the meats - here's where I fill up on food for the deep freezer. In particular, the chicken wings, steaks, and pork selections always catch my eye. I only make a run to Costco 2-3 times a year to stock up the house for the next couple of months. Well worth those hauls to save money over time! Pro tip #1: Try to avoid pre-holiday weekend trips. The store is incredibly packed before 4th of July, Christmas, Memorial Day, etc....they have run out of products you're looking for. Pro tip #2: Always reward yourself with a slice of pizza or hotdog on the way out. You deserve it after all that shopping! read more

Great customer service and friendly staff! There are peak times that you should avoid the location (M-F after 5) read more

Always go to the DC location because of the alcohol. The parking lot is always ridiculous! But you have to get in and get out.

Sadly to say that Costco doesn't have the membership card for family members. It's for individual only which is the expensive annual cost and bulk products are considering unfit for one person. I stopped doing shopping at Costco because the products are too much for one person. read more

Just like any other location, a great warehouse store that offers a wide variety of products at competitive prices. The store is well-organized and easy to navigate, making it easy to find what you're looking for. The quality of products is very up to par with what is expected from Costco, and the selection is vast. However, it's worth noting that there have been reports of rats in the store. I have seen them myself. This is not uncommon in large retail stores, but it's something to be aware of. Despite this issue, the only Costco in Washington DC is still a great store with high-quality products and great prices. There's no tax in DC on a few grocery items, so you see lots of Maryland and out-of-staters here as well! Come early to avoid the gas lines. read more

Costco has been an integral part of our food lives forever - there's nothing to compare with quality and value for your money. Costco - Gas Stations Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

First thing I did when I came to the US was to buy Costco membership. Heard great things about their perks from my friends. And it just so happened that Costco was half a mile from where I lived initially although this one is around 4 miles now. Great quality of gasoline with subsidized pricing. Almost 30 to 40 cents less than the usual gas price. Lines can be longer on the weekdays during rush hour in the evening. And almost impossible to get in the line on the weekends between 11 am to 3pm. I strongly recommend planning your visit around weekday morning, just you know that's my preference as there's hardly any queue. Also depends on the location. If you visit the one at Columbia, weekday morning and evenings are bad. Lines are extremely long. During the day time or early morning on the weekends are the way to go at Columbia location. If you forget your membership card then present your ID to the customer service and they will help you with the gas. I have never had an issue with anything. I have seen some people have some issues but I am sure their customer service takes care of it almost instantly. read more

Pro Tip: The pumps have extra long hoses so you can go to any line and use the pump on either side. If the pump is on the opposite side of your tank, just pull up a little past the pump so the hose can wrap around or over your trunk with clearance. Also Premium Gas here is a whopping $.40-.60 less than reg gas stations nearby. It's a no-brainer even if you have to wait in line with the folks that act like pumping gas is as complicated as Nuclear Physics lol sheesh! Pump the gas Karen. Daaaammnnn. Side Note: There's a worker here that loves my car. He always talks about how he's going to buy one. He's cool and he always says he wants me to train him at the gym lol.... I be like dawwwg I BARELY want to go myself and I'm fat wth?! Lol read more

Why are the pizza slices soggy on the bottom? The taste is excellent if you can get by the soggy, wet, soft crust on the bottom of the slice. It should be firm and crisp, not soggy like wet dough. read more

Costco Gas is a gas station next to the Costco in NE DC. Because it's cheaper gas, there's always a line of Costco members waiting to fill their cars. Don't worry! The line goes fast. When it rains, you're protected by a covering over the filling stations. read more

During the coronavirus mad dash for food water and other Necessities the Costcos in NE DC did a fantastic job of keeping business moving smoothly for everyone that came there! I couldn't walk away today without giving them honor and blessings for working so hard to get everyone through this situation. When we got there they had totally re-located the carts so that everyone got a clean cart. They had employees who assisted with wiping your cart down before entering the store. Then the traffic inside of the Costcos moved swiftly. There were so many people there.I was able to get a couple of cases of water. Get through the crowd go back to where I came from all over again to pick up some other supplies with little impediment. The lines were massive. Costcos opened every single lane. That had people directing traffic so you get to the quickest moving lines. The cashiers are people who are so talented and calm even though it was a mad house. I stopped to grab something to eat on the way out. I have never received anything from there that wasn't excellent to eat. The people located at the exit check you out to make sure you've gotten everything that you've paid for. The gentleman outside that was helping with traffic did an awesome job! I parked way in the back of the parking lot but I was able to through and out of there with no problem. As a loyal Costco customer; I want to thank all of the DC Costco employees for being awesome, dedicated and hardworking supporters of your customers base. Sending love and prayers to you and your families! Awesome!! Bravo and Kudos to all of you and a special thank you to the Costcos Management team. Whenever you do don't change! read more

It's hard to complain when gas is cheaper but the line is always long to where it's even difficult to get in line at times. On occasion they have somebody directing traffic to filter more cars into the lines which is nice. They should have this all the time to avoid entry congestion. I don't like it that they only accept Visa as payment. $2.27 for gas today. read more

When you have a Costco Membership you will receive a discount on gas. I always make sure I have my Membership card handy to use. You won't be able to get gas without it because you will be sliding your Membership card first before making a payment with American Express or Debt Cards only (no cash). I love this gas station! It's Convenient. I come often. Be prepared to wait in line. It's worth it. The gas price is reasonable, especially if you need to buy premium gas like me lol. If you need any help the attendants are friendly and helpful. read more

By far one of the best perks of a Costco membership... the discounted gas. Especially when gas prices start to creep back up in the $2.50-$3.00 range. Ha! Not today Satan! I'm going to Costco! On any given day, I save 15-30 cents a gallon compared to prices at other nearby gas stations. That is definitely worth waiting a few extra minutes in line for. read more

Best prices for premium gas everyday. Woodbridge has the lowest price of any warehouse

I absolutely LOVE this Costco gasoline station! It's super convenient and close to work and home. The prices are soooooooo much better than any gas station in the immediate area, which is always a plus!! I also love it because the attendants are very friendly and attentive! Sometimes they even pump my gas for me! Quick, easy, cost effective and convenient! What more could you ask for - except maybe an air gauge? Maybe that's too much lol read more

Mainly giving five stars for consistently and significantly being the lowest gas prices around. I'm glad Visa is now accepted and kinda sad that AmEx is no longer but that's okay. I've forgotten my membership card a few times and just had to show ID. It's best to avoid busy times but even then, it's still worth coming here. It's worth the wait if you have the membership and time. read more

It is a Costco gas station which means it is clean, you have a far less likely chance of being carjacked, the lines can get long at busy times, and the prices are lower than nearby gas stations. This is the many gifts and one curse (long lines most of the day) of Costco Gasoline. Not much else to add because member pay a membership fee to get gas here. Best endorsement ever. Five stars. read more

Gas is cheap, lines move quickly & they have attendants to help if there's a problem.

the staff here is so rude, they direct you to someone else who never knows who then directs you to someone else who says that's not their problem and walk away. it's like they want to make it difficult for you to shop. read more

Only complaint: the lines. But even those move fast. You cannot beat these prices. Costco power shopper tip: one of you can get gas while the other starts shopping. #Teamwork. read more

Friendly and helpful staff always willing to assist you. Also cheapest gas in town and worth the wait.

It is by far the cheapest gas in DC, often by as much as 20 cents per gallon. I live in Northeast DC, although still a couple miles from here, but try to get gas here whenever it is not too inconvenient just because it is so much cheaper. However, the lines at the pumps get pretty crazy, and the layout of the parking lots and access to the entire shopping center is not good. All that said, it is often 20 cents per gallon cheaper, so for filling up the tank, it is often worth the hassle. I wish there was a direct way to get back on New York Ave. heading back towards downtown DC though, as right now Maryland residents have much easier access to and from here than DC residents do. read more

Here's what you can likely expect from this Costco Gasoline location: -medium to long lines -cheap gas (I paid $1.95 today and saw $2.20 at another gas station in the city) Note that the pump is long enough to stretch to the opposite side of your car, even if the tank is not on the side where the pump is. I can't tell you how many people I've seen sit in line waiting for a pump that's on the same side of their car. I've never had a reason to really interact with the employees, but when they've been walking around outside, they seem friendly and speak to me. Now that Costco no longer accepts AmEx cards, you'll have to use a Visa at the pump. No cash is accepted. read more

In all honesty I only get gas from Costco as it is the cheapest. It's really nothing to it. The best times to go is right when it opens or when it's near closing. Never go right after work. You will be disappointed. All of the hacks have been listed. Yes you can stretch the hose to the opposite side however, clearly when doing that you better be filling up the entire tank. It's hard to see. The line to the far right is usually less crowded but it's harder to get to at times when it's super crowded. Always remember that when leaving out you do have a stop placement. It's on the ground. Best secret to avoid traffic at the light when leaving: try cutting through Lowe's garden area. read more

I love Costco gas. It's so cheap, that I will literally drive cross town on E, just to get it. The lines are typically long, first thing in the morning and on the weekends, but they move fast. I typically fill up midday during the week, when there's hardly anyone there. read more
