This location is not 24 hrs as advertised. I've been here several times in the early am just to be greeted by a locked door. Sometimes you can catch a staff members attention and get them to unlock the door and let you in but all I wanted was some tissues since it was cold out I went up at 4am to a locked door knocked several times and saw no one. This has also happened around 5am in the past. You'd think in a neighborhood with so much night life they'd actually have their doors open during late hours and also not to mention the fact that they're supposed to be open 24/7. read more

When you find out they advertise offers and then they won't actually honor them because it's up to the franchise owner and not corporate. This location has Coke Zero which is great. They are very hostile to people who come in with refills though and use COVID as an excuse. Some of us are trying to save money and plastic. The location in the loop, where I get my cups from usually, gets this concept and does the refill thing. I was able to get my refill, but they were hella hostile. Probably because people rob this location a lot. Either way, it's pretty obvious I walked in with a cup. Next time I will explicitly put it in their faces, but they need not be so hostile. I don't use this location too often for this reason. If they're gonna give me a hard time about a cup I legitimately brought in, it's not worth the walk from my apartment. read more

If I could give this location zero stars I would. I have never seen a 7/11 that was closed at 7pm. It was pride weekend in Chicago. I needed water and they would no not let me purchase. I stood outside with no water or anything. Just workers sitting outside watching us dehydrate. I will never visit this location again. read more

So my friend and I wanted a snack, & we knew that every food establishment within a mile was closed. We went online & saw 7 eleven was the only place open, so we decided to go. We walk up, light all on, staff inside laughing with each other, & we proceed to open the door and it is locked. We accept it is closed and turn around when a cop car shows up. The cops walk up, and with no problem at all get let in, to more than likely buy food. I think it is for the best that the establishment makes it clear both in person & online as to what their hours are, & who is allowed inside. read more

This review is based solely on the owner/manager, the older white guy with scruffy gray hair and glasses. I actually kept giving this place a chance because I assumed he was some kind of charity case, and that they had hired someone with a moderate-severe mental, emotional, communicative, or learning disability, since I thought nobody in their right mind would scream, yell, and swear at their coworkers, or throw things across the store, in front of customers. Well, today, I found out that that man is "the boss." He is an HR nightmare waiting to happen, and also explains why so many of the other reviews talk about how rude, distracted, or disgruntled the employees are. Although in all honesty, everyone else I've ever encountered at this 7-11 has been friendly, and the place is always clean. If he is a manager, he should be fired. If he's the owner/franchisee, he should have his franchise pulled. Eventually, one of his employees is going to realize the way he speaks to/yells at them isn't appropriate, and complain to corporate or hire a lawyer. Okay I live across the street from here. I will walk all the way to Jewel before going here. The staff here are always rude no matter what. I've gone in there before to buy scratch offs (yeah i am are addicted to them). I've said "i want two one dollar scratch offs" the guy grabs two "ten dollar" and tells me my total is twenty dollars. This happens almost every-time I go in there they never pay attention or care about any of the customers. I wish They had better employees here. read more

They have some healthier options now but the store represents everything wrong with the American diet, with extra charge for convenience. I used to skip hebrew school and come here to get Garbage-Pal trading cards with my female friend Aaron when I was little...but that was long ago (mid 80's), so I have been a customer of this 7-11 for a very long time... More recently, my hubby used to go in every weekend morning (before we migrated north) to get his cup of coffee and an apple fritter, which is completely disgusting, but something he really liked. I'd occasionally go in and get my morning coffee in there as well. The people behind the counter never warmed up to me, but I wasn't there trying to make friends with them. It served its purpose on both counts (Garbage-Pal cards and coffee), but I wouldn't say that there was anything too special about it.... read more

The manager (older guy, looks like Larry David without a soul) treats his employees horribly. This is embarrassing to watch from the customer's point of view, but I can't imagine being openly berated, condescended to, and sworn at for the pittance these people get paid. He calls the older WOC who works there (and is lovely...she's incredibly kind and patient under the circumstances) "Mama". Fire him, fire him, fire him. When my friend and I approached the cashier named Kris on 8/18/2019 between 11-11:30 pm as our first stop before going out, Kris was using his scanning gun and pointing it at his female coworker and playing around with it so when my friend and I approached he just scanned our items without paying attention to us or greeting us and told us to insert our chip. Since he had already scanned both of our items that when we wanted to originally pay separately, I asked my friend if she could just pay them and get $10 back for me & that I would quickpay her. She also needed $10 back so when the machine told us that $10 back was the limit we told him that we were just going to pay for our own things separately with our own cards as we originally wanted to do. Kris refused and told us that he wasn't giving me my $10 back because it was limit to 1 per customer. We told him that we were 2 different paying customers with 2 different cards and that if he had greeted us instead of playing with his friend, we were going to explain to him that it was 2 separate transactions to begin with. He continued to be rude, gave us attitude, and told us that he didn't care and that we weren't getting our cash back. At that point, I asked to speak to a manager to which he responded that he was the manager. A very nice man that also worked there was walking by and I approached him and asked him if he could ring us up because Kris was being beyond rude and disrespectful towards me. He very warmly agreed and listened to my complaint about Kris and told me that Kris wasn't actually the manager of the location. When the nice guy (I wish I had gotten his name) was ringing us up, Kris began to complain about us very childishly to other customers in line. This was by far the worst customer service experience that I have had which truly took a toll on my night because I just couldn't understand how an employee could be so rude and give such a bad attitude to a paying customer that contributes to a business that pays him to make a good impression and experience so that we will want to keep coming back to shop. He was childish, playing/flirting on the job with the scanning gun, didn't greet us, didn't listen to our needs, raised his voice at us, lied to us about being the manager of the store, and made a scene by telling all the other customers in line about how horrible we were when all we wanted was to pay our items separately with our own different cards to get $10 back. He acted as though we were requesting money from his own pocket. read more

Who doesn't love 7-11, right? I think it pretty much speaks for itself. I do feel the need to review this particular store, however. I've been going there for years and what makes each experience so wonderful is a 7-11 employee/cashier who works there! Her name is Adriana and she's absolutely one of the most beautiful, most gorgeous, and sweetest people you could ever meet. I go in here quite a bit. It is convenient. I don't have much of a problem with the store itself. On my most recent visit I did see an owner or manager berating one of his employees. I read some of the other reviews on here and it seems to be a common occurrence. I don't know if the employee made a mistake or not. I just felt it was unnecessary to yell at her in front of the whole store. Other than that its a typical 7 Eleven. If you go in there late, you are bond to see some drunk clientele. I did see Baron Samedi from the James Bond movie in here once. That was a little weird. read more
