Came here a year ago and loved the potential but not the food or service. So I'm…read moreBack to see how it's going. Some change. Place is still clean and looking new! They take good care of it. Interesting K cups for sale!! Eggnog, strawberry rhubarb, and other flavors you won't see elsewhere. Gone is the cherry coffee. And breakfast was 24 dollars for a coffee and flat croissant. I wanted the fluffy one with chocolate and pistachio but they got the order wrong and I got the flat, moist bottomed, sugar topped with artificial crusties that they call knaifev and I suspect is a phyllo dough crunchy. No bagels now (there is a bagel place in the complex). Coffee was ok. Took a while for the serve and sit for a regular coffee. Still lots of potential. They are trying. And for convenience, or before or after a soldiers delight hike it hits the spot just right.

I was in the area for a conference on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and needed a pick me up. I found…read moreCoffee Beanery here on YELP!! It's located on the side of the New Town shopping center, kind of towards the back, depending on where you enter the parking lot. There's plenty of indoor seating, very cozy, as well as outdoor tables & seats. I was helped right away and ordered a latte and 2 spinach pastries! I sat in at a little table by the window, and ate my first pastry and it was so fresh and delicious, it reminded me of Greece. Unfortunately, the main reason I went there, the coffee...it had burnt taste. I ended up only drinking a little bit and poured the rest out. I'm sure they probably have great coffee, but it was 4:30pm and I'm thinking I got an old batch. I would definitely go back again for the pastry and try the coffee again, earlier in the day. The service was great, very friendly staff!

They matched each to the wines, of course. Most of the cheeses were fairly young: Flavorful and fun. Of those, we loved most the pairing of a rich ruby-red Toscana with Atwater's Rossa Moon: a slightly sweet, nutty, gouda, brightened further in fruitiness (not hue) by brining in a red wine from Black Ankle in Maryland's Mt Airy. Standing on it's own, the best of Atwater's cheese samples was the 18+ month National Pike Reserve. An extra sharp yet smoothly textured harder cheese. People do seem to respect the 90MIN seating window though so you should be able to find a seat. You order and pay at the counter first and then they give you a table number card. This is how they find you to serve your food. I ordered a regular matcha latte, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on croissant bread and their famous croffle. I loved their matcha latte. It's pre-sweetened so no need to add extra vanilla syrup or anything. This does not taste like a traditional matcha, which in my opinion tastes like dirt. This is a sweeter, dessert like matcha. I didn't care for the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It was kind of dry and it tasted like something was missing. The croffle was amazing. It has a nutty, pecan like taste to it and it was topped with vanilla gelato and blueberries. I couldn't really taste the maple syrup but it was delicious nonetheless.

I really enjoyed the cappuccino, and I like that they offer agave as a sweetener. That said, I do wish the cappuccino had a bolder coffee flavor. On its own, it leaned a bit too milky for my taste. However, once I added an extra shot, it made a big difference, I got the richer coffee flavor I was looking for along with an extra boost. The temperature was good, but I did notice that even when I requested it extra hot, it came out the same each time, which was a bit puzzling. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. It's a nice spot, and I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
