BIG BITE SPECIAL DEAL WITH ENTERTAINMENT!! So I venture into this 7 Eleven today to gas up my ride and maybe grab a snack. I was headed out of Austin after a couple hours at the hospital with my dad. He was in for a minor outpatient procedure and I took the time to take my mom to El Borrego de Oro (previous review). That was at 9:45 this morning and now a bit after noon I was thinking about a snack or something. Anyway, I stroll in checking the place out as the BEAT 104.3 was there with free slurpee coupons. After browsing a couple of minutes I really didn't find anything so I headed towards the counter to pay for my gas. As I strolled by the ever famous hot dog machine I noticed yes.....flies inside the machine. So this machine has the usual sneeze guard and some piece of plastic over the back of it. I'm not one to loose my lunch over anything short of a Texas Chainsaw Massacre clip so I grabbed my cell phone and started shooting shots of the fly circus. The little flies just riding the dogs as the spin around like some championship log rolling tournament on ESPN. GO LITTLE FLIES GO!!! One of the employees came over and asked me if she could get me something out of the machine and I said I'd take the one with the critters on it. She looked at me like I was nuts until I pointed out the various movements on the 100% all beef bites of goodness. She quickly pulled the genius plastic cover back and started swatting away. OK, she sold a couple of dogs as I was hitting the door. I got my gas and came home and made myself a nice fly free roast beef sandwich. If you want to get the Coronavirus, then come & join the other patrons here (hookers, crack heads, kids with no shirts or shoes). The lady who owns this 7-11 has now brought in her middle-eastern family to help run the store. I have stayed away for a year and-a-half, and made the mistake of popping in for a couple things. It was like something out of a Quentin Tarantino armageddon-style movie. Three family members behind the counter dressed in tunbaans, dhotis, & turbans - all with thick black rubber gloves. (the only thing missing would've been if this lovely trio had been holding automatic machine guns.) There is a transparent plastic visqueen sheet from ceiling-to-counter, which is fine - except it is littered with spittle, grime & dirt - from god knows what. After my 3 items were rung up & paid for, I asked the woman if I could please have a bag. She pushed the brown paper bag through the small opening & knocked all my items on to the floor at my feet. I bent down to retrive my items in order to put into the bag, and I noticed the bag had a slit down the entire length of the bag. I just said, "I don't need a bag, thank you," and pushed it through the opening. And, she attempted to push it back to me again (with the rip down the side). I pushed it back through again - and fled the store for the safety of my home for an immediate hot & soapy shower. I just now came from there so I'm writing this on my tablet in my truck before I forget or decide to blow it off. As it's in important that us consumers unite and boycott greed and price gouging. In short, since they remodeled extensively about 18 months ago the owner has jacked prices absurdly. I'm talking not so much on deli items like pizza and dogs since those are set by 711 Corp. Rather, his bagged snacks, grocery items..things like chips and nuts. Wow! Double the price of what you'll see at other C Stores. We're talking airport prices. You should go there sometime if you're in the area just to marvel at the prices! LOL. And see I'm not kidding. I work for PF and used to patronize the William Cannon store nearly daily for a year. So I'm familiar with their usual prices. We need to boycott this sort of thing! It's how biz owners get the message. And it's the only way. Don't stand for it. Especially in South Austin. Many economists say the American people are now too lazy and spoiled to unite for boycotts. Prove them wrong!! Fight the Greed. Cheers! read more

I bartend so i get gas n various other crap anywhere i can at 3/4am. I just moved to South Austin and you are the only place in my area 'supposedly' open all night...EVERY F@#$$## TIME I COME HERE, yall have a "be back in 5 minutes" bullcrap sign, everytime!! Once i even waited 10 minutes, nobody ever came. Tonight the b!#@$ SAW me pull up to the gas pump and walk up to the glass and wave at her, B just kept walking...ARRRGGGGHH, made me so mad! And i am a dorky little white girl who could not possible look scary! She better be taking the shite of her life cause that was straight up rude as hell!! 5 minutes, that a bunch of bulllshite. I came here for a coffee and a black and mild. Forgot my wallet In the car but they understood. They were a happy couple working the register and I will definitely be back to this location. They tried to give me a free burrito but when I told them my wife was cooking they gave me a blessing in their own way :) Again- I will be back. read more

This 7-eleven has the worst smell ever! It smells like a combination of cigarettes and bad oil or something. If I go in ... every time I have to avoid breathing through my nose because the stench is horrible. Now one thing that I do appreciate about this 7-eleven is that it is open 24/7. Every now and then I will get a late night craving and do not want to go all the way to the 24/7 HEB or Wal-Mart, so I end up here. So thanks for that. Every now then I also feel like they have a good price on their gas and will pop in to fill up but they only have 2 pumps so it can get a little crowded. I will not stop if it is too crowded. I can't believe I'm writing a review for a 7 Eleven, but considering how often I shop here, it makes sense. Teachers only get 30 minutes for lunch...less if you count travel time to and from the cafeteria. That means I usually brown bag it. On the days when I have nothing at home to eat, I hotfoot it over to this 7 Eleven so that I don't have to eat cafeteria food (nothing against it but chicken nuggets and turkey dog bites aren't my thing). My old standby lunch is the tuna on whole wheat and one of the carrot/celery/cheese trays, but I've tried almost everything in the little refrigerated deli section. The wraps, paninnis, and salads are great in a pinch. The fruit and yogurt cups are nice as a dessert or quick breakfast. When my teammates and I are stressed, we've been known to partake of their baked goods. We're especially fond of the nutty brownies and blueberry muffins. The hot cocoa from the cappucino machine is also nice when the weather is cool. The staff is always friendly and the store always appears to be clean. As far as convenience stores go, I'd rate this as an A-OK. I've found that this particular location tends to have a cent or two cheaper gas than the other gas stations nearby. The area is clean and it is convenient on the way home. What I also like about this location is that you can get in and out easily, no matter what side of the road you're on due to its location next to a stoplight that allows you to get back out into traffic going whichever direction. Of course the inside is nothing spectacular, but the people there get you in and out instead of keeping you around for hours on end unable to figure out the price of a bran muffin. Of course you can go to HEB or someplace for the same stuff cheaper, but then there's a reason why it is called a convenience store. read more

I used to go to this store all the time; for the last several months there has been serious issues including: telling customers wrong prices; misrepresenting gas prices on signs; not giving customers right change; over charging, etc.... I found out they have been doing this to the kids who go to school next door. I've notified the owner but it's still really bad. I recommend being careful if you do go. read more

I go to the location on Manchaca Road every time I'm back home. One guy argues the price of items every time and insists on charging me the wrong price. I was just there - showed him the price that 711 has posted and he still argued. Told me he didn't have time to argue and to get the #!%@ out of "his" store and to never come back. Wish I knew who is actually in charge. read more

This store seems to have inventory issues. They are chronically out of certain coffee supplies, etc.

I wrote that review shortly after moving to my present address and they are the closest convenience store. I still believe the people are great, but am getting tired of 7-11 policies. My guilty pleasure is lottery tickets, go ahead judge me I don't care, but it seems that every time I go there...there are in the middle of shift change and cannot sell lottery tickets. Sometimes that is the only thing I go in for, I should have learned the first 3 times this happened but jeez 7-11 get your sh*t together and stop bugging me about your dang app. read more
