Took Mom to get her car smogged and not only did they do it in record time (ok, it was a rainy Sunday), but they have free computers to use, which was cool because mine was down at home and I was able to take care of some internet stuff while there. This place is the best. Who know i would love a smog check place? This is the 2nd year coming here. My Jeep didn't past part of the test this year, not the smog part but the evac? part, and he told me i could go fill my gas tank and bring it back and get a retest free of charge. A full tank sometimes helps it pass. I'm sitting in their waiting room while waiting the retest and just had to review before getting to the work I brought with me. I called at 4:30 Sat afternoon to see if they were open, and found they are until 6! This was fortunate as I was 5 min. late for my 4:15 appt. online with Berkeley Smog Test Only Center, and they refused to accommodate me, as they close at 4:30. 7 Days A Week staff were polite, informative, quick, and even price-matched my estimate from my earlier appt. There are inside and outside comfortable waiting areas, and even weights and a punching bag for the more athletically inclined. (Note: it would be nice to have some better boxing gloves for guests - more padding needed.) I'll definitely be coming back to 7 Days/Week for my future smog checks. read more

I came here after a bad experience with another smog station that told me to return with my DMV paperwork, then had the audacity to tell me they were leaving when I returned with my paperwork. Upon arrival, the two men attending this smog station were very kind and they got right to work - no appointment needed. Unlike Todd H. wrote, I purchased a Groupon and read all the details before purchasing it. This place is amazing! I went on a Sunday which most smog places are closed on a Sunday and I was literally in and out in less than 15 minutes. After I filled out the paperwork I took my daughter into the waiting room, maybe 10 minutes later I heard my car start. I thought it failed because it happened so quick. I told my daughter to stay in her seat while I talked to the guy, I walked outside, and said "Did it fail?" He said "No you're good to go" and handed me the smog paperwork. I went back inside the lounge and told my daughter "Let's go" she said "But the seats are comfy and I just got comfortable" mind you she is 8. The fact that we were able to get in and out before my 8 year old started to ask "Is it almost time to leave?" is epic and I highly recommend and will recommend this place to all my friends. read more

OK. I have to say that my experience was horrible. I was over charged at $68 for smoke test, much higher than regular price. I complained about it and they finally charged me $50. When I tried to leave and posted a negative review immediately on my experience. Know what? They stopped me when I left and forced me to post the following: "They refunded me $18 to make me feel ok." Stay away from this place. I even do not understand why the general review is 5 star, so misleading. Maybe I should call yelp customer service to figure it out. read more
