This was our first time visiting the Plainfield, IL 7 Brew location, and actually our first experience at any 7 Brew location.
When we arrived, we were surprised there was no line, so we drove up not realizing there wasn't a physical menu and that we needed to scan a QR code. I asked the gentleman taking our order if they had a menu. He didn't, but he kindly asked Brianna (I'm not sure if I have her name spelled correctly). She told us there wasn't one and that we could pull it up online or use his tablet.
I want to point out that the gentleman taking our order was very patient, pleasant, and friendly. He never made us feel rushed, which I really appreciated. After we paid, he told us to pull forward to his coworker.
Brianna wasn't there at the moment, so I pulled forward to line up with the car next to me. She then came out and yelled, "STOP." I'm sorry, but I had no idea I had gone too far. I didn't realize she wanted us only partway into the driveway. It could have easily been handled by simply explaining where she needed us to stop rather than yelling.
Our drinks also took quite a while, although I understand this is a new location and likely a newer team, so we were willing to give them some grace on that.
Unfortunately, the experience ended poorly. When the drinks were finally ready, Brianna simply said, "Peach Tea" and "Shake," handed us the drinks, and walked away. There was no simple "thank you," "have a good night," or even "can I get you some napkins or anything else?"
For our very first experience with 7 Brew, I was extremely turned off by the interaction. The gentleman taking our order was great, but unfortunately, Brianna's attitude and the way she handled the interaction left a very negative impression.
In my opinion, Brianna should not be customer-facing. She may be much better suited to working behind the scenes making drinks rather than interacting with customers.
We may never return to a 7 Brew, even though this location is closer to our home. There are simply too many options out there, and when you're spending your hard-earned money, the way you are treated matters. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because a single poor customer interaction can make someone decide not to return. read more
