The space gives a bit of a rural and rustic vibe, with the large sleek industrial roaster in the center of the seating area. We were treated to a start to finish roasting demonstration and samples of the dark and light roast drip coffees, along with tasty biscotti. I brought some scones home for a treat for my wife - she loved them. Anytime in the future that I find myself in west Lawrence, I would stop in to further support and expand my limited experience from the first visit.

The interior is pretty small but they do have some seating outside-front and back. The service was good. I ordered the House Gimlet: cucumber infused gin, rosemary, orange blossom, and lime. This drink was so refreshing. It's a great drink for spring and summer. I highly recommend this drink! My boyfriend tried the Fugue State: Old overholt rye, bigallet China-china, tiki bitters, Lambrusco, and orange peel. He liked it and said it was like an old fashioned. In an effort to be more active, I thought why not walk her to a nearby coffee shop by the house. J&S Coffee is one of coffee shops nearby. I am not sure if pets are allowed but I left Yuki outside. Inside, the shop looks friendly and the service was good. I didn't stay long. The latte was good with reasonable price, $5.35 for a 20 oz latte.
