pineapple sunflower meal bowl (substituted egg with quinoa) - A meal bowl containing cooked quinoa, broccoli florets, shredded carrots, and sunflower seeds, served on a white plastic tray.

Amazing place! Excellent ambience. Loved their menu. Ordered pineapple sunflower meal bowl (substituted egg with quinoa) and masala chai. Both were fantastic. Taste was blend but felt really healthy. Hot tea comes with filter lid. I am surprised to find such a nice vegan-vegetarian friendly cafe in Lawrence.

Blueberry Almond Quinoa Bowl.and Moroccan Mint Tea. - A container of quinoa salad with almonds and blueberries, accompanied by a glass of iced tea with ice cubes, on a red table.

Clean eating done right. Great ambiance to enjoy fresh juices, smoothies and salads. I tried the Blueberry Almond Quinoa and the Moroccan Mint Tea and my taste buds were happy. Definitely will come back.

presidente bowl was okay sweet potatoes were hard still lol

The food healthy? sure! tasty? so so maybe i just ordered a blah dish but I wasn't super impressed the chicken was tender so thats good but the dish had absolutely no taste at all and the sweet potatoes were still hard! the salsa was the best part on top, 5/10 for effort. My friend gets the primal bowl which maybe i should have because its her favourite and she loves it she gets it without cashews or mushrooms but id keep them on mine i think cause i like those! I also got the warrior juice which I actually really liked only downfall is there was so much ice in the cup next time I think I would barely get any because Im paying for the drink not ice! The overall vibe is really chill and quite good place to study and do homework with a smoothie!

Basil Hummus salad add "avocado". Much left to be desired
Brian B.

Pros: Loose leaf teas is $4/oz. You can make quite a few cups with 1 ounce which is much more cost effective than paying $3/tea in the store. The shooters are tasteful and decently priced. I had the E3 live and it was good, however my girlfriend didn't like it so that may be a preference. The next time I will try some of the others and update my review. The balls are delicious, I've had the peanut butter and chocolate balls and both were very flavorful. Cons: the salad and meal bowl were not up to par with the rest of the items. I had the create your own meal bowl. The menu is set up well and looked promising. Choose 1 grain/legume 1 protein 3 fruits/veggies 1 dairy (cheese) 1 nut 1 sauce So I chose Black beans Chicken Avocado Red pepper Kale Blue cheese Chia seed Salsa Unfortunately the bowl was not proportioned well, it was mainly a bowl of black beans and to top it off it only had 1 extremely thin slice of avocado on it. There was only only about 2 ozs of chicken on the bowl. Lastly there was not enough salsa to cover the bowl even lightly. There are calories listed next to the items, it stated 100 calories of avocado. There are 250 calories is an average medium avocado. Therefore 100/250 is 40% of a whole avocado. As you can see in the pictures its approximately 1/8 of an avocado or 12.5%. It also stated 54 calories of beans. 1 cup of black beans is 624 calories, 54/624 =8.7%. While is somewhat hard to see in the photo, the entire bottom of this bowl is black beans, I would guess 1/2 cup (312 cal). Definitely misleading information. My girlfriend had the basil hummus salad which came with minimal chicken and minimal hummus. She did request avocado as well and they gave her the same portion as myself. I will note that they did not charge us for that so there's that. I will say the ingredients did taste relatively fresh however the bowls are quite bland even with the sauces. All in all I will no longer eat here. We will return for the teas and side items. I posted the pictures so you can see what the salad and bowl looked like.

Working remote with healthy noms.

I'm torn. I really, really like the healthy options. They make my tummy smile. Especially since I'm eating GF. However, the portions are kinda skimpy and the prices are high. I had the Sonoma quinoa bowl, and even added chicken, and was hungry 2 hours later. At $8, I shouldn't be hungry. The black lavender tea is divine. And I got some protein balls. The sunbutter ones were the best, I tried one of each. I like the decor, and they let me suck up their wifi all afternoon too. I know I'll be back, because I love the healthy options.

My coffee was tasteless. I go to multiple tea and coffee places and this was one of the worst in my opinions.

The restaurant itself is beautiful inside -- a cozy mix of rustic and modern that creates a really inviting atmosphere. Service started a little slow, though our waitress became more attentive once she came by. We mentioned it was our first visit, so I was a bit surprised there wasn't much guidance on the menu or any recommendations. At one point I asked about the two kinds of fries (I love fries!), and the explanation was simply that they were "fancy fries," without much detail on flavors or differences. We started with drinks and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. The sprouts were actually very good, with a nice balance in the sauce, and both the wine and sangria were refreshing. Unfortunately, dinner is where things went downhill. Our meals -- a steak and a gluten-free chicken sandwich -- took about 45 minutes to arrive, which felt long for relatively simple dishes. I had asked about the gluten-free bun since they can sometimes be dry, but didn't receive much insight beyond "it's gluten free," and sadly it was indeed very dry. The chicken itself lacked flavor, though the goat cheese cilantro sauce helped make it somewhat enjoyable. The fries looked homemade and delicious but arrived cold. The steak was cooked as requested, but it didn't have much flavor beyond the mushrooms on top. The broccoli side was tasty, and the potatoes were good, though it on a bed of Some kind of cheese sauce that wasn't quite to our liking. Overall, the space and gluten-free availability were promising, and the appetizers and drinks were enjoyable, but the food execution and service details didn't quite meet expectations for us this visit.

Total comfort food. The hamburgers are juicy and delicious, and the drinks are just as strong. The Old Fashioned is my go-to every time. Yes, parking can be a little tight, but that's part of the charm and uniqueness of Big Mill and its history. We've had a couple of visits where the crust tasted slightly like old butter, but it's only happened a few times and definitely hasn't stopped us from going back. Great pizza, great burgers, strong drinks, and consistently friendly service--we'll keep coming back.

The food is good but it's not GREAT. I think the prices are a bit high for what you get. To me, this is a restaurant that is trying to be fancy but can't pull it off. Parking is a crap shoot, at best. The parking lot is super small. The restaurant is easy to access for those with mobility concerns. There will be those who disagree with me but there isn't anything outstanding about this establishment. Every time I have been here, the service has been lacking. Everyone is friendly enough but they have problems getting my take out orders correct. I usually get a burger to go. Oh, yeah... fries are extra. If I'm paying $14 for a cheeseburger, you would think fries would be included. Not here. Bottom line... it's not bad but there are other, better restaurants in town.

The vibe was fun and inviting, and it looks like they've carried over the magic from their super popular Christmas pop-up into a fresh, spring-inspired theme. It adds a really playful, seasonal touch without feeling overdone. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the service. Our waitress was fantastic--super friendly, attentive without hovering, and offered great suggestions that we actually ended up loving. Tip: Get a basket of French fries for the table! Overall, it's one of those spots that works for just about anything--family outings, catching a game, bigger group gatherings, or even a more low-key, intimate meal.
