Great coffee and super fast/easy. We stopped through on our way to Great Sand Dunes NP and it was the perfect morning boost.

Milagros Coffee House - Here's the sandwich I made for myself in about 5 minutes and everything was done from scratch.

Loved how cute this shop was - it had so much character to enjoy. Thankful they opened so early at 7am so we were able to get some coffee. They had a great drink menu - from just coffee and espresso options to tea to blended drinks. Grabbed a Matcha and London Fog - not the best we've ever had, but still tasty and a good start to the morning. Also had nice breakfast options. Comfy seating options. We were able to grab a nice couch to sit and enjoy. They also had free Wi-fi and clean bathrooms. Street parking was easy to find. Overall, a good choice for your morning coffee!

And because of that alone, I'd come back if I'm ever in the area again. The pros: WiFi was solid, staff was friendly, loved the overall vibe & the artwork. Decent coffee prices The not so pros: my latte was milk heavy - I should still at least be able to taste the beans since I didn't add any syrups. And while the bread & crispy bacon on my BLT was BOMB... there was absolutely no lettuce to be found and like 2 small bites of tomato. What you see in the photo was it (legit nothing but bacon on the other half... should have taken a photo, but I was starving lol). Added avocado for 0.50 but damn, that was skimped on too. For $10 I def expect the L&T parts to match the B provided here

The food is amazing! We had Arancini- the best either of us have had since being in Italy. Crab cakes were another appetizer we enjoyed but not in the level of the Arancini. The main course (which we spied on the way to our table) was to die for. Duck leg confit with mushroom ravioli and broccolini (perfectly cooked) and a creamy mushroom gravy. It was magnificent. If you're ever in Alamosa for dinner, don't hesitate to stop in. You won't regret it. You might even want to go out of your way to stop here. Two chefs who earned their stripes in NYC returned to Alamosa to try their hands at fine dining in Alamosa. I hope they can continue to do well.

Located in the old St. Thomas Episcopal Church, the setting is absolutely beautiful -- they've done an amazing job of creating a cozy Italian restaurant while preserving the building's original charm. We came in as a large group and ended up ordering nearly everything on the menu -- and everything was delicious. The Eggplant Pasta was my absolute favorite -- rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also loved that you could ask for a bowl of roasted garlic to enjoy with the bread served alongside the pastas -- such a simple but amazing touch. The service was phenomenal. We were running late, so I called ahead to let them know, and even though it was right around kitchen closing time, they were so accommodating. They seated us immediately, made sure we could order everything we wanted, and never once made us feel rushed. Drinks were solid, the vibe was warm and inviting, and the food exceeded expectations -- especially for a small gateway town. The Friar's Fork is such a gem and truly worth the stop if you're in the area.

The chicken breast was a little stringy, the bacon was not freshly made. The bun was soft and fresh, the guacamole was tasty. It also came with tater tots, which were perfectly cooked and served hot. My husband ordered the dirty South burger which consists of burnt ends, Mac bites, coleslaw, cheese, and bacon, bits. He said it was one of the best burger he has ever had. To complete the meal, we ordered a caramel cheesecake to share. It was very light and fluffy and very tasty. It could have used a little more caramel sauce. We were told that the owner makes them fresh daily.

Our waitress, kendri was extremely hospitable even providing constructive feedback when quizzed. Results: 1. The burger was a lifetime top 10 of all time! Prepared a perfect medium well while the onion rings, bacon, coleslaw, and finally american cheese blended deliciously. Additionally, the burnt ends was juicy, thick and firm which complemented the chuck blend. 2. The chicken was just average: salty and stringy indicating it may not have been fresh? However, for both selections the tater tots side selection were excellent : hot and cripy. For dessert, we shared a $12 slice of caramel cheesecake. - a signature item. Although it did not disappoint, beware its not considered NY Style (ultra thick and super creamy / sweet). I would apply the name "western style" as it was fluffy, light and airy.
