The blue corn honey cookie and mocha were just what I was hoping for on my latest visit. An excellent community space.

I visited Crestone for my father's memorial which was actually a nice celebration of his life and it was held at The Cloud Station. First of all, Crestone is such a beautiful community, but the Cloud Station is where I would want to hang out every day if I lived there. The vibe, owners, and employees are wonderful, and caring. They take a lot of pride, and care in what they do. So definitely check this place out if you go to Crestone. In fact... you probably already will without needing to see this review! Over a few days we had golden milk, bullet proof coffee, paleo breakfast bowl, and mango smoothie. Everything was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures. The bullet proof was the best I've had anywhere.

This place is super cute! Probably the only restaurant in town. But very nice spot for a quick bite when you're in town or drive by. It's a ghost town and there's nothing to do besides this spot, grocery store next door and a gas station

If you are hungry don't even bother with Cloud station. I asked if it had a lot of veggies on it. The veggie panini. I have posted 2 pictures of the sad tidbit. Was still hungry!! Went a block a way to a little cafe called the Mystic Rose Cafe with an outside seating area. The picture you seeing the serious veggie sandwich without oil is what I got for 14.00. I am happy to to pay the extra money for real food.

Very quirky but totally fits with the towns vibe. The food was fresh and delicious. Enjoyed the brunch menu and the many vegan/GF options.

We were one of their first customers after they reopened! There is on-street parking in front of the restaurant, a shared parking lot "behind" the restaurant, and quite a bit of parking by the park a few blocks away. I had a cinnamon roll and a Stage Stop burrito and a sausage biscuit sandwich. I also had help! Hey! Yer eating the burrito before I took the photo! The burrito has the sausage gravy from the biscuits and gravy, but you can also get green chili on it. The biscuits are huge! Yay! There were 4 tables for dine in, but the food is packed to go. For their first day back, they are offering a free something for folks with a partially punched loyalty card. Surprise! You can reach 1 Pokésto and 2 Pokémon Gyms and a Dynamax Spot from the restaurant.

It's also up for sale so someone who can afford it come save this business! I ordered a Strawberry Turnover and Vanilla Mountain Frost w/ Whipped Cream (frappé). The strawberry turnover was good, my only complaint is that only half it had a good amount of strawberries and cream cheese. The frappé tasted like straight coffee. I paid an extra $1 for whipped cream and I couldn't really tell it was there. I may not have set my expectations right when ordering it, but it was just okay. It's a very small shop, not a whole lot of room. Music is playing so it isn't deafening silence. There is plenty of seating outside, which is great when the weather permits it. The customer service was not very present. There was one person working the whole store so I'm not going to bash it with a lack of effort. Effort was certainly present, it's hard to run a place alone. But it took a long time for us to get our drinks. Side note: the lids on the freshly squeezed orange juice are truly loose (as the signage says) and it was spilling the whole drive back. Trust the sign

Our breakfast was nothing short of fabulous!!! My wife ordered the Red Velvet waffles that had scrambled eggs and bacon on the side. I ordered the Eggs Benedict that was smothered in Hollandaise sauce and hash browns - not something that you will get at home on a regular basis. WOW!!! Both entrees were so good that it will have us coming back for more!! We had the privilege of meeting Willie as he was working the crowd. As we travel around the country, I find that if the manager/owner is working the crowd it's bound to be a great place - for sure in this case with Willie's. I told him that I call that "Leadership On Duty"!!! Three staff members also worked our table. Bow, Terri, and Summer, each had a division of duties and, as a result, we were really taken care of. The ambience was truly out of the western small town mode - clean, efficient service, and fabulous food. Four cups of the best coffee and a full stomach and was time to hit the road back home. Give Willie's a try as you will not be disappointed. Be sure to say "hi" to Willie, Bow, Terri, and Summer - they are the best.

Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad. Whether you are gearing up to summit Mount Shavano or recovering from a grueling promenade, this sanctuary provides the requisite fuel. It is the exceedingly charming destination itself.
