I called Dale, he and crew came out immediately and solved our problem. If I could give them less then 1 star I would. I went with these guys as they gave me the best price for the work I needed. If you end up spending less but get really crappy service, in the end you have to ask yourself was it worth it. They showed up a day late without so much as a courtesy call to let me know they weren't going to make my appointed day/time. When they finally cut my tree down, when it fell it destroyed a floral arrangement I had. They went and replaced the wood but it wasn't until later that I saw that they didn't replace all of what was destroyed. They did a horrible job of cleaning up and left my yard in complete shambles. My sidewalk and driveway are permanently scarred and chipped. Dale tried to assure me the long marks would 'wash off' but it's permanent damage. Dale got very belligerent with me as l pointed out the damage they caused. I had to sternly tell him he needed to lower his voice and calm down. As if that wasn't bad enough they left 80ft of timber in my yard for a week and a half. After waiting the 2 or 3 days Dale said it would take I began calling them daily. He stopped answering my calls altogether. I left message after message without hearing back. Finally I got through after remembering that dialing *67 hides your number. This trick worked as Dale answered and I told him he needed to come get these logs as it was killing my grass and well past the 2 or 3 days he said it would take. He yelled back at me telling me and I quote 'there's nothing like I can do' I told him to come get the logs or I was seeking legal action for the logs amd the damage to driveway and sidewalk. He hung up in my face but an hour later a guy shows up to take the logs. I do not recommend these guys as they are unreliable and not true to their word. Yes my tree is gone but the damage they left wasn't worth the cheaper price I paid. Not at all! CAVEAT EMPTOR....BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

Good morning everyone, I hope this finds you well amid this COVID-19 crisis. I have left many a review before, and if you look at my history, you will see that the vast majority are overwhelmingly positive. I digress. Dale (the owner of the Ike Tree LLC) cam out to my home two Fridays ago to do the following work: cut 3 trees, trim 3 trees, and front and backyard clearing/debris removal. I was excited to have his company do the work because I believed him to be honest, fair, and genuine with pricing and work ethic, and despite having had 5 quotes prior to his, I decided (unfortunately) to go with him. A specific contract was written that we both agreed on ($3500 for all of the work listed above), and the day came for his crew to come do the work. Some general notes: 1. They blocked my neighbor's driveway completely and blew debris from my yard (that I ended up cleaning up after they left). 2. Upon completion of the work, I had to personally call Dale because the work was woefully incomplete - debris was all over my back yard, the clearing of the yard had not been done, and the stumps of the trees had been lodged under piles of debris. He, to his credit, apologized and had his crew come out to fix it, though they did not cut 1 of the trees down and trimmed 2 trees (one was the wrong tree, so 2 trims that we had discussed were not done, even after they returned to clean up). 3. Over the next several days, I tried to contact Dale to have him come out to discuss the job's incompletion. At one point, he said that he ran out of gas (hours after our appointment window had passed). When he did come out, he didn't let me know he was at my home but came into my fenced in backyard with a chainsaw and proceeded to cut down the limb of a tree that was supposed to be cut. I was furious and, at first, terrified! I have a small dog, and she plays outside (hence the fence), and I had no idea what was happening on my own property. He apologized, claiming he didn't know what he did was wrong. (Though he wasn't even doing the work listed in the contract!). We agreed to reconvene at a later date. 4. I sent him my schedule and made myself available to him when he agreed to set appointment times, and this time around, he said his "E" light was on in his vehicle (2 hrs after our appointment time with no call to me). At this point, I was over it and requested a partial refund for $800. $800 for the 1 tree he failed to remove, the 2 trees that were not trimmed, and half of the backyard cleanup that was in our contract (that was not done). He was angry and said he couldn't find "day laborers" who would work in the middle of the day. (Read into that what you will; I am doing my best to avoid conjecture.) Dale agreed to give me the refund over a period of two weeks and said he didn't have it "right now". I received $300 from him with the promise that he would make a contract that night (this was yesterday) stating that he would give me the rest of the $500 by next Friday. Today, he has refused to answer my phone calls and has denied agreeing to do the above. I am not a vindictive or spiteful person... I have no reason to wish him ill, but if I were researching tree removal and landscaping companies, I would want someone to be honest about their experiences like this. I wish I had gone with anyone else, as the last thing I want to do is to take him to small claims court. But I now have no choice. If you read this and need work done like I did: Please reconsider and go with a different company. This has been a nightmare and there's no end in sight. read more

We had a large job clearing our backyard. The crew that showed up day one was great and didn't leave a disaster and did good work. The crews that came subsequent to that were horrible. Trampled my flower bed which was no where near where they needed to work, left tree debris scattered everywhere that I'm still cleaning up, tore up a dry creek bed that was certainly not in their way, damaged 2 Leyland Cypress trees, spilled some kind of petroleum product on my neighbor's beautiful lawn that killed it. 2 huge log piles were left on my front lawn for a couple of weeks. The company trailer was parked on the street for weeks as well. When they finally came to get the trailer, they drove up on my same neighbor's lawn leaving divots from the tires. When we spoke to Gretchen to complain, she personally came out with a crew to try to resolve my issues. She promised the neighbor a $50 gift card for the grass issue but never delivered. When we sent her a picture of the divots in the neighbor's lawn, she said she'd come out personally to handle it and never showed up. There were several delays due to weather which I totally understand but we were always the ones who had to call to find out if anyone was coming to continue work. Communication was horrible. Will never use or recommend this company again. read more

Three stars for poor communication and I'm debating if it should be two stars. When Dale (678-Ike Tree) arrived to my house on Sunday he was standing in the middle of the road - in front of my house- stopping my neighbors as they drove by to hand out his card. I wasn't too Happy to see that. I think flyers would have been sufficient the day before. From what the workers are telling me today they all work for Nunez Tree Service (for 25%) -- 678-Ike tree DID NOT remove my trees - Nunez Tree Service 770-896-2288 did the job -- as a subcontractor under 678Ike tree. Now that I think about it - the crew all had on Nunez Tree Service Sweatshirts. Dale spent much time saying "We don't get the rating we get by doing poor jobs and by not doing what we say we are going to do!" But it would have been nice to know the job was being subcontracted and and that the crew was Nunez Tree Service.. I will say Nunez tree service did a fantastic job- I would definitely recommend Nunez. Dale (owner of 678Ike trees) did make sure my job was done and logs removed as promised. I think? Or was it Nunez? The crew was done with my job Monday- and the Huge/Lengthy truck are still parked in front of my neighbors house - Thursday causing cars to swerve around them and then complain to me. I have been trying Dale (678Ike Tree) since Tuesday- no response. Nunez Tree Service stopped me today to ask me if I'd heard from Dale. So that partners aren't communicating seems like a problem. At the end of the day - the job is done and done well - just not by who I was told it would be done by.. Moral of the story - make sure you know who is REALLY doing the job! Agreed on a price, said the work would be done within a few days, waited for over a month, arrived with no notice when I wasn't home, completed project with poor results, asked to return to fix, agreed to return to fix, failed to return after several weeks, and ending my efforts to try to make right. Highly disappointed and warn others to find someone else with more integrity. read more

We used this company for a big tree removal/trim job and I was highly impressed with their level of professionalism. There was always a supervisor on site and everyone I talked with was super friendly. Dale and Travis were constantly checking to make sure I was happy with the progress (which I was) and I really believe they are experts in their field. I would rate Ike Tree Service with lass than one star if it were possible! I was clearly quoted face-to-face and in writing a specific price to remove 2 old oak trees in my backyard. The morning they arrived to do the work, Dale immediately began claiming that he would only remove "1" oak tree for the same price! When asked, he refused to honor his word. When he saw that I concerned about this, he raised his voice and began the tactic of heavily pressuring me that I had no choice but to agree to remove the "1" tree or he was getting in his truck right then and leaving! In hind sight, it was clear to me that he had pulled this tactic before, as it came so easy for him! When I tried to negotiate, he started blaming "me" saying that he had other jobs waiting on him and than I had to give him an answer "RIGHT NOW"!! Do NOT hire Dale - IKE Tree Service!!! read more

Large tree removal job and bush hogging as our yard was very over grown. Dale and his team came in ready to work. They worked hard and completed the job as discussed. We will use him in the future for tree and landscaping work and would highly recommend you giving him a call if you need work done. read more

I had tree damage after the snow storm a couple of weeks ago, and one of the limbs was about to fall on my neighbor's driveway. It was a Sunday when I called Dale - he was at my house in 20 minutes, gave me a fair price estimate, and offered to do the work right then.
