A pizza I've not yet tried in Leeds? I'm game, thanks Andy. Don't mind if I do. And one with such a high recommendation, double yes please. Moving house means that it's even more difficult for me, than ususal, to find the wherewithal to cook and prepare a meal. As such, I've been regularly scouring the interwebs for delivery options, and I'd already bookmarked this one in my mind since reading the previous review.
Ordered via Just Eat, and they've a plethora of options to choose from. All the usual suspects, and nothing outlandishly exciting. Includes various burger options in addition to the pizza, and some very good value deals. The order came precisely when stated, which was fantastic as I can't abide food arriving too late. Especially as I order when I'm already hungry... The delivery chap was lovely, and we were gifted a free garlic bread pizza, for having spent over a certain amount of cash.
The pizza itself was huge, and indeed square, which gives you more bready goodness for your bucks. I opted for the deep dish, and probably would go for the thin next time, as it was just too much dough for me to cope with! Very filling, generously portioned, but I wish there was a little more flavour in the (thin) tomato sauce. The garlic bread, however, was incredibly moreish -I'm so glad that came in for free as it was delightful. The fries are also generously seasoned, which is quite the boon! Sadly though, my companion's pizza was topped with unwanted pineapple, which wasn't met with joy - since it wasn't listed on the vegetarian pizza picked, I'm guessing this was a mistake. Fortunately, it was a preference issue and not an allergy! (It's OK, I was able to help with said pineapple by consuming it.)
I'd certainly give them another go, although they don't quite make it into my all time favourite pizza places in Leeds. I'm certainly full however, and don't even have to wash up. That is certainly making me happy. read more
