Everyone here is amazing, They have great spirits section and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend eating here.

This is the best restaurant I've ever eaten at in this area in my 40 years. The firecracker shrimp were perfect, crab rangoons were delicious. The sushi rolls were amazing especially for half-price sushi on Tuesdays, the atmosphere and service was outstanding also. We were passing through and looking for a bite to eat. With such a broad offering on the menu (sushi and burgers?) we were very pleasantly surprised to find their Asian dishes to be quite tasty! They have VERY good margaritas (no judgment on us for eating sushi, Asian dishes and a margarit--it was all on the menu!) and we consider ourselves margarita snobs. This restaurant does not disappoint. Food is fresh and tasty. Sushi was great; specialized french fries were incredible; "goat sandwich" was super! You can't go wrong with this menu. Atmosphere is super and place is clean. Service rocks! We will stop there the next time through Rte 81. read more

Our first time staying in Bristol, so we wanted to enjoy a freaky good meal with a local feel. 620 State offered just that. The food was excellent. My ribeye want off the thick cut with lots of marbled fat in it, but it still had a deep, rich flavor, with no gristle. My wife had the scrumptious Cowboy Burger. Best of all were the fried pickles -- hands down the *best* we've ever had. Not the typical dill spears dipped in a nondescript batter and fried, but sliced in pieces and fried in an amazing batter with a tinge of Cajun seasoning. We would go back for these alone. The decor is fun, and the restaurant large, but on a weekend night, get reservations. Last, the staff was fantastic. The hostess and the young man who seated us couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Our server, Jamie, was very helpful in helping us made decisions, allowing us to made some changes, and very attentive. And she was so friendly. Southern hospitality at its best. A little upscale and a little pricey but well worth it. The food is amazing, the meatloaf was delicious. The real winner here is the bar. They have one of the best bourbon selections that I've ever seen. If it's a bourbon, they probably have it. The cocktails are also very well done and delicious. The two stars are for the bar selection and the friendly hostess. My husband and I stopped in for lunch in a Friday afternoon. We started with the garlic Parmesan fries. While they were warm they were hard as a rocks. It was almost like they attempted to fry them in not quite hot enough oil. We couldn't even eat half of them. I'm fairly sure a car could have run over them and they would have maintained their shape. The few that were edible (1 out of 20 fries) were full of oil rather than potato. We also made the mistake of ordering all the food in one sitting. So our lunch came out about 7-8 mins after our appetizer. My husband ordered two sushi rolls which tasted fine, nothing exceptional but fresh. The problem with his meal was that the pieces were cut so large that he couldn't eat them even with his big mouth. Lol. He made due and cut the pieces with a fork. My entree came out wrong. Beyond having fried rice rather than brown rice which was lazily thrown ON TOP of the entree, it had multiple other issues. I ordered the general Tao's chicken. What was brought to me wasn't anything like any general Taos I've ever eaten. The chicken pieces were unevenly battered and soggily fried. The chicken wasn't properly trimmed so over half of the bites taken were soggy fried squishy chicken fat. I ended up picking them apart with my hands to try to find edible bites. The sauce was bland with zero spice or seasoning. While the bell peppers were cooked perfectly the broccoli might as well have been tossed in raw. I prefer crunchy vegetables to half dead ones so this didn't bother me all that much but the texture was off. The waitress should have offered a newly prepared meal when discovering it had the wrong rice since it had been tossed in top but she didn't even apologize. She just brought me a bowl of brown rice, and it was up to me to pick out the gross fried rice. At this point I feel like they throw the rice in top to hide the entree below. We won't be returning which is unfortunate. I had high hopes for this restaurant given how close it is to the comedy club. The food quality is simply sub par and perhaps it was just a bad cook. But at $65 (before tip) for lunch I expect more than my beer to be satisfactory. Still we tipped the waitress 15% for her efforts, the kitchen woes are not the wait staffs issue but she could have offered a better option to me digging out the misordered rice or at least an apology. And knowing the bartender gets tip share, we didn't want the one thing that was right to be punished. There are better options in Bristol than this. 620 State Street needs to step up before they fall victim to their own complacency. read more

My wife and I stopped by the bar at 620 by happenstance and experienced a great experience with bartender "Raina". Not only did present a warm welcome, her attention to all patrons was outstanding. Raina has the ability to make each customer feel like they were the preferred one. We ordered sushi and drinks. Raina recommended the Smokey old fashion drink which was unique and added to our experience. Raina is definitely a huge asset to 620. read more

We had spinach queso and chips as an appetizer....the Cowboy burger with parmesan fries and Drunken Noodles w/shrimp....all over the top amazing. Great to-go experience! The whole family ordered food. My husband and son said their burger/chicken sandwich was mediocre . Parm fries were alright. However I highly advise you try the wontons, pot stickers, and chips n queso. The appetizers are the bees knees. Truly remarkable flavors and condiments. Mediocre at best. Never consistent. I used to be a regular for late night dining but since they close early now, it's rare that I go anymore. The kitchen usually messes up my order, the soup is too salty and sushi usually dry. This place used to rock but not any longer. read more

My favorite local sushi place. Beyond that I've never had a bad dish and the one time there was a mix up they were quick to fix it.

620 has always been a favorite spot for me, but this last visit was shockingly a disappointment. We were seated right away but our server, Kestiny, informed us if we were wanting to order sushi then she didn't recommend it because "he" was being really slow today. I ALWAYS order sushi, but her demeanor threw me off so I decided to pass. I ordered my usual, egg drop soup and lo mein. The egg drop was a tad salty compared to other visits but still good. The biggest issue we had was with our server. Her fingernails were very long and when she brought our food we could see her nail sticking in the food. This was such a disappointment that from now on we will be requesting a server and only go when they are working so we don't have to get stuck with her again. read more

Great Asian Fusion menu. The service was friendly and timely. Loved the potstickers and fried pickle appetizers. The sushi rolls we tried were up there in quality with many of the Japanese sushi restaurants in the area. Overall a pleasant and enjoyable experience. read more

What a fantastic find! Stopped here on the way to Nashville and had the most amazing lunch! Started with the Bakersfield Roll, so many flavors and topped with tempura bacon(!!!) and a sweet sauce - delicious! Fried Green Tomatoes are so luscious, perfect breading and the goat cheese makes it even better. Crab Rangoons are amazing, so flavorful with a yummy sauce. Shared The Drunken Goat burger which was the weirdest combo but was absolutely delicious! Parmesan fries weren't great but considering the rest of the meal and the great service, highly recommend you visit when in/near Bristol read more

620 State just sounded like a good place for lunch. It is very nice and could be good for a romantic dinner for two. The music was older mixed with Elvis and Bing Crosby to name a few. We came here originally to show our eight year old the state lane down the middle of the street and ended up with a satisfying meal in the middle of what is a fairly bleak culinary stretch between Knoxville and Roanoke. The drunken noodles were delicious and on par with restaurants that were both more Thai and in bigger cities. The restaurant showed great competence across a wide range of genres, including sushi, sandwiches, appetizers and chocolate cake. A menu this broad is usually worth a heavy dose of skepticism. Can they do all of this, and do it right? Turns out 620 State can. It's worthwhile to put this on your route whether you're coming out of the Blue Ridge on the Jeb Stuart highway with a car full of people who are Not Happy about your estimated "half-hour" drive to Bristol taking a full two, or just making that diagonal shot across Tennessee and Virginia on I-81. read more

Passing through Bristol and order dinner for two there. Due to Covid it was only a pick up, but I felt the most unsafe and while picking up food at that restaurant as compared to any other restaurant in the last nine months. Maybe 15 people sat within 10 feet of the door and not a mask in sight. The food was wildly overpriced - $35 for a noodle dish and a fried rice which were both completely bland. What a gem in the heart of historic downtown Bristol! This place has it all, a unique decor/vibe, delicious food, and friendly service. The kids had the chicken tenders with broccoli and the american cheese burger with fries. Both were not only so delicious but the portions were also very generous. The adults had sushi, drunken noodles, a burger, and the hot chicken sandwich. All the dishes were delicious. Special mention: the chicken tenders and the sweet potato waffle fries were the best we ever had. We finished with the fried cookie dough with ice cream for dessert and it did not disappoint.
