When I saw that it was being done in violation of code (and looked terrible), I asked him just to stop. Rather than have a big scene in my house, I paid the entire service charge. Later, I called the office to negotiate at least a partial refund, and the person I needed to speak to was "not available" four times over a week's period, and never called back as promised. I kept calling to at the very least let them know things didn't go well. I finally spoke to a supervisor, and after explaining the whole ordeal, he said he'd have to compare my account to the technician's story. When I called back (again, no response as promised), the supervisor refuted my version of what happened and blew me off. I was out $300, and still didn't have my vent installed.

***Update*** I failed to mention the best part of our…read moreexperience. We contacted them on a Saturday morning, and they were able to visit us the same day. That exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, we have had a lot of difficulties with our Samsung washer and dryer and have had to have both repaired, several times, over the past 4-5 years. A few months ago, Greentek repaired our dryer, and most recently, they came out to assess a persistent annoying problem we've had with our washer. Greentek advised us the cost to repair the washer was higher than what we wanted to pay. (The amount of the repair and the amount we put into repairing it in the past was going to exceed the cost of a new washer.) So, we declined to have Greentek repair the washer and decided to buy a new washer. (Not a Samsung!) Both experiences were positive and we have no complaints with Greentek. They are prompt, professional, offer reasonable prices and do everything as agreed. Call them.

Fast and professional service. I had a leak in my washing machine and he checked everything in detail and did several test washes. Now I have a piece of mind and with his advice I haven't gotten any leaks since. He did a great job explaining what he was doing and looked prepared with all of his tools. The inspection fee is the same as everyone else which is $85 and can be applied to labor if you want to fix it through them. I will definitely include them as my list of goto repairs for appliances. Thank you!

Appliance repair is one of those household duties you take on when you buy a home, and it's usually…read morenot much fun. Unfortunately, there are more than a few unscrupulous repair shops that will try to take advantage of the consumer's ignorance. That's why using HPS was a very pleasant and refreshing experience. It was easy and fast to obtain a same-day service appointment to diagnose the problem with our dishwasher. I thought the circulation pump had gone bad and Arti, the technician, confirmed it. We discussed a couple options, and Arti attempted to fix the unit with the less expensive route. Unfortunately an entire subassembly needed replacement so we had to wait until the next day to get the correct part and complete the repair. It was great that HPS kept the parts in stock instead of having to order and wait several days until the parts came in. Both the initial visit and follow-up were on-time and the service was fast and competent. These guys know how to provide excellent customer service and the price was less than expected. Highly recommended.

We had a dangerous natural gas leak from our gas range. After shutting off the gas we had plumbers…read morecome out on 2 occasions to check the supply line, which was fine. We then had a HPS tech come out and check the unit and could not find a leak despite the plumbers leak detectors going off previously. After the second plumber again detected the leak coming from the unit (see pic), I called HPS back, they initially told me they couldn't help and to call the gas company! I asked to speak to the manager. He called back and looked at the picture and said he thought it was the gas tube. We set up a re-check appointment for 2 days later, then texts me last minute and cancels, saying he couldn't get the tube. It was supposed to be a courtesy re-check but they flaked out and said to call someone else. I accepted their offer to destroy the service fee check but they still wasted my time and left me without a working stove. Very unprofessional. I had another company come over today, found the leak, and fixed it in less than one hour! It wasn't the tube! Lastly, after checking with Dacor, HPS is not an authorized service company.

He (a veteran so I was happy to support him!) responded, booked and got to my place quickly after 1st contact. He was respectful and diagnosed the issue quickly, thought it was another issue but when he came back to install and pulled the washer completely out, he realized it wasn't the issue & had the parts to put swap out some little motor which he said "This will be cheaper" and I always respect service providers who are honest. He could have easily installed the valves he originally thought the issue was and charged me for that AND told me about the other issue and fixed that and charged me more BUT he was honest and saved me some $ and fixed the issue!! I will always call him in the future!! Probably the worst company I've had to deal with in the last ten years living in Austin…read more It's the classic "say whatever you need to say" response without any meaningful action or result. My Thor Kitchen stove unit needed their help. I first engaged about the issue in July and now it's the end of September. The only response from Appliance Family is the deflect and say we need to wait on Thor. But that's not true - they submitted a report to Thor suggesting my unit was "repairable" after their technician didn't want to turn the unit on because it was a safety risk. (I'm assuming they lose business if they say it's not repairable). I have three young kids, and the safety risk was my initial concern to engage Appliance Family in the first place. Whatever the reason(s) - my recommendation is to do business with alternative options if possible. I would never choose to work with this company and highly recommend you look elsewhere.
