It was raining, so they even used a drone to check out the roof. We got a 124-page report the next day that was super detailed with clear pictures and arrows pointing right at whatever needed attention. The best part, though, was the video debrief with Charlie, the owner. He spent almost two hours walking us through everything, giving us his honest opinion on what was actually a big deal versus what was just code, plus realistic cost estimates and contractor recommendations. They went above and beyond. Seriously the best inspection experience I've had.

He was very thorough and professional. From the very beginning, he was very clear that we could voice any concerns throughout the experience. Whenever we asked about something, he immediately checked it out. After we received the report, the owner Charlie walked us through each of the items on our inspection report with us to make sure we understood everything. He even gave us his personal recommendations on stores/suppliers he uses. Overall, this was a great experience for me. Easy online scheduling, clear communication, timely reports, professionalism, honesty, and genuine care for the craft. I would highly recommend Chicagoland Home Inspectors to anyone.

He walked through every note in person at the inspection and explained the impact and what we'd need to know if we were to buy that property. When we had to withdraw our offer and put in an offer on a different property, Jeff's team is who we called and scheduled with. Alex did a great job and was just as detailed, friendly, professional, and really helped put worries at ease. Both inspections gave me great peace of mind and greater confidence in the very big decision of buying a home. Highly recommend!

His…read moreattention to detail, prudence, and thoroughness were evident from the first walkthrough to the final report. As first-time homebuyers, it's easy to get swept up in the excitement and overlook what matters. Frank kept us grounded. He presented the findings for both homes in a well-documented, systematic way that made it easy to understand what he found, how serious each issue was, and what it could mean down the road. That clarity let us evaluate each property objectively and make a well-informed decision we won't regret years from now, for ourselves and our kids. What sets Frank apart is his curiosity. He doesn't just check boxes; he asks questions, looks closer, and follows up on anything that seems off. His eye for detail is truly second to none, and his genuine care for identifying issues showed in every part of the inspection. That's exactly what you want in a home inspector. If you're buying a home in Chicagoland, especially for the first time, call Frank Dattalo. You'll be glad you did. Charlie at Chicagoland Home Inspectors has a real gem in him

He very is personable, knowledgeable, and overall, a great guy. When purchasing a new property, you want someone like him who is extremely thorough during a home inspection. In my new two bed/two bath condo, it took him 3 hours from start to finish!! Instead of being bothered, he enjoys having you watch him inspect every nook and cranny of your space. It's technically a free Home Inspection 201 course, and wayyy better than HGTV's Holmes on Homes since you can ask all the questions you like. During the inspection, he will show you if there are any questionable discoveries so you can see it in person. During the evening of that same day, you receive a pdf inspection report in your email with a detailed description of any and all issues or concerns, recommendations, and pictures to help in the buyer-seller inspection process. My partner had a question regarding one found issue in the report, emailed him, and he called us right back within an hour. All this for under $300!
