Once a solid 4 star operation has now dropped down to just a 3. Remembering, you get what you pay for, prices have gone up from $4 to $5 for the basic drive through car wash. The maintenance problems continue and have become severe. In the past, It was almost always 1 of the 2 credit card machines was not working or at best, would not take a Discover Card as advertised. Now, at least when I visit, 1 of the 2 car washes itself are not oprational at all. This past week, when Reno's major snowstorm finally cleared, the entire operation was not working. It's a shame because they're location is so convenient, right at 5th and Keystone just off of I-80. My hope is management will remember there is new competition in the area and customers will only be pushed so far. read more

My last review still stands as a best value for a quick and reasonable wash. There are only 2 bays and the steep driveway can make it tricky getting in. All car washes in this are are susceptible to freezing, running out of soaps or waxes, and even equipment failures. What makes a difference is how they respond to these incidents. I was happy to see a quick, prompt, and friendly reply when I ran into an issue recently. This just adds to the value of this local business in my book. Way to go. read more

Every time I go there is no soap. I get a water spray wash only. doesn't matter what time of day. morning, afternoon, always.

A decent touch less car wash that is kept in good condition and cleans moderately well. The best thing to like about this is the price, only $4 for a basic wash. I haven't found a cheaper car wash and have spent twice as much for similar results. It won't get bugs off front grill but I haven't found a touch less that does. read more

Not a bad car wash spot but also not the best. We had to wait for quite a while just to run the car through due to it taking a long time for each wash. I'd say about 6-7 minutes for each car at midday which seemed like forever when the line is backed up. Once we made it to the register area, the prices were reasonable. We went with the higher tier which was only $10.00. The wash was good as it took dirt and ice from the snow off. The fan to dry it at the end could be a little stronger but that is just us. You get what you pay for on a whim. read more

This was an ok car wash. One of the sprayer arms wasn't spraying as hard as the other one. The dryer barely got the water off. It was good enough to wash off all the dirt and grime from driving through snow covered streets but for really clean, I'd recommend finding another wash. read more

It's an automatic auto wash. It goes fast. Compared to other places, it's an incredible deal. I've now done it three times and am very happy with the results! Good drying for only 4 bucks! Two passes with soap and water with high pressure sprayers. Touchless. Convenient location just off of Keystone and 4th streets near McDonald's. It does a fine job of using a credit card for payment and spitting out a receipt after a very short (probably less than 30 second) wait. It's sort of fun and psychedelic to be in the car while it's washed. Reminds me of places where that was the case when I was a kid. I'm not sure how late it runs, but I suspect it's open 24 hours a day. There's a line to call if you have issues. I'm not one for paying for services that you can pretty easily perform yourself, but for 4 dollars a car wash here is a pretty darn good deal. It's certainly the least I've paid for a car wash in 10 years, since you got a free car wash with a 10 gallon or more fill at Shell stations way back when. The wash had indicators to place your car properly. You drive up when it's green, stop when it's red and let the wash do it's thing. When it's done, you pull up near the exit where high pressure vents blow air on your car to move water droplets and dry your car on the way out. Go slowly and it works great. It's good enough that I haven't even really thought of looking at another place and I'm totally Mr. Shop around. And you don't even have to deal with any people or wait. Love it. read more

Have to pay an additional $10 at another car wash to wash what this car wash couldn't. It left water spots even though I paid for the best wash it offered. It left dirt on both sides and the bumpers. The dryer didn't dry the windows or mirrors. This is truly unfortunate and if the owner cares about their business, they'll make it right by refunding the $10. read more

I had a very good experience with this company. My coworker asked me to take her car to wash it for her and I said I paid because it was her birthday so I went here and unfortunately after I paid the car wash was malfunctioning and didn't work. I contact them on the number provided which took a little patience on my end and they offered a free car wash code but since I was washing somebody else's car and don't own a car. This option was of no value to me as I don't have my own car so I asked for a refund and they provided me with a refund so I can say truthfully that they are honest people. read more

This car wash successfully removed the playa dust from my car. My only reservation was the price jump from a basic $5 wash, to $8 at the next step up. I was disappointed not to have an undercarriage washing included with the basic service, but for the convenience of location to my home, this worked. I went around 7:30 am, and an employee of the station was out wiping down all of the user machines. I have used the vacuums here in the past, and they all suck. In a good way. read more

In addition to credit and debit cards, the payment machine accepts cash, making this a good way to use up the change that is now rarely accepted by slot machines. In addition to the price, what's great about this car wash is its state of the art technology. After pulling into the wash bay, two long arms that hang from the ceiling use some sort of echo location or laser technology to measure the placement, including length, width and height of the dirty car. Once the measurements are taken, these arms spray the car with a bubble presoak, and proceed to whir around and around the car, directing sprays of soap, water, and rinse on your dirty puppy. No need to shake that puppy out, because as you roll out of the bay, a powerful stream of air is forced onto your car over a period of 80 seconds. No we're clean and we smell nice too! My one reservation would be using this car wash late at night because the area is a bit sketchy and it would be a good place for a carjacker or armed robber to lie in wait. read more

This car wash is terrible. The touch less sprayers have about as much water pressure as garden hose and the whole wash lasts only about 2.5 minutes. And to top it off the dryers are useless so bing a pack of microfiber towels to dry your car after. read more

Perhaps deserves one star but being the holidays, I will be charitable and give two stars. I thought all car washes were the same. The car would get washed with the attention to detail distinguishing the different car washes. 5th St. Car Wash came up short in that rear window was still dirty as was the lower half of my Subaru Outback wagon including the wheels. Being an automatic car wash (nothing wrong with automatic car washes provided they do the work), there was no one to complain to. I paid $8 for "The Complete Works" package and would still feel ripped off if I had paid $4 for the Basic package. I now need to find another car wash to finish what 5th St Car Wash started and should have finished. I noticed that the other reviews are a minimum of two years old. Not sure why this place is even in business. The credit card reader never works. Even if you do get the wash to work, usually only one dryer works. It is in a convenient location, but rarely everything works. The management does not respond to calls or left messages. read more

Didn't hit the sides of my SUV. The top third was shiny and clean. Middle third dirt still on it. The bottom third (tires) clean. Stupid.
