I finally got a chance to try 5th& Steaks in College Park, MD. THIS IS A FOOD TRUCK!!! So, I'll break down the good and the bad Pros: Taste was amazing. It truly gave authentic Philly cheesesteaks. The meat was seasoned, and any place that offers cooper's sharp cheese knows what they're doing!! Plenty of parking Cons: The wait time! I was #5 in line as soon as they opened. Estimated wait time is 15 minutes, but in reality, it took about 30-35 minutes to get my food. They rarely call out order numbers when they're ready. You could see bags waiting at the counter, but it took folks having to knock on the window to get the order. I also added peppers to my order, and they gave them to me on the side instead of cooked on the sandwich (there is a separate option to order them on the side). Advice: ORDER ONLINE ahead of time! There is no human to take your order at the truck. It is simply one kiosk/computer to order from, with the same process as you would online. And be prepared to wait a bit longer! I give these guys grace because the food was definitely worth the wait. Solid 8.5/10.

One complaint would be the cheese & meat that was stuck to the paper...

Instead of the usual taco truck, this is a halal truck, and it shares a parking lot with a 7-Eleven. Funny enough, my buddy and I were on the way to a nearby taco truck, but this one caught our attention and we pivoted. The 7-Eleven wasn't busy, so parking was easy, but it is a small lot. I went up to the menu and saw a bunch of things I expected, like chicken and lamb rice bowls, samosa, and biryani. What I didn't expect to see was lamb quesadillas, tornado fries, and bread pudding. I didn't try any of those surprises, but best believe I will soon. My buddy and I both got a combo rice bowl and then took them to campus nearby to eat. Both bowls were loaded and we were only able to eat half -- shoot, we could've shared one haha. The bowl had a huge bed of rice and tasty chicken, lamb, onions, tomatoes, and plenty of colorful and flavorful sauces were on top. The lamb was my favorite of the meats -- but the chicken had a lovely marinade on it. The burst of flavors with the whole dish was just amazing, whew. Oh, we had samosas with a mint chutney too. They were majority potato -- I'm used to there being more of a balance between them and a couple veggies, but it was still delicious. Yummy flaky exterior. The interesting thing about this truck is that they open at 7:00pm every day except Sunday when they're closed. So it's strictly an evening venture, which I'm not used to seeing for many spots. Looks like they've been around for a couple of months, and I wonder what it was like before the school year was over? And I wonder what it'll be like when the next semester starts? Well I'll be here to find out, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu.

I've been to the food truck a couple of times and I am OBSESSED with the sweet ole bay wings. The food truck has an extensive menu, so I guarantee you will find something you like! Everything was great and they will really work with you to create a meal that will complete your event. Highly recommend!!

This restaurant is situated in a small shopping center and it may be tight with parking but there are adjacent lots next to it if you are okay with walking over. This is not only a Halal Senegalese restaurant but also a shop that sells Senegalese and West African goods. It's definitely a nice place to go to during the Holy month of Ramadan, which is when I went. I came in after I broke my fast and the owner was very warm and welcoming and even asked if I had already opened my fast to see if my order could be made. And I told him I did, and to take his time and there was no rush. We had a friendly chat about the new location. He explained a lot about the different foods/spices in the shop. Now to the food: I ordered a small lamb and chicken combo with jollof rice and puff puffs. I love West African cuisine and have tried many different jollof rice from many different people, restaurants, festivals, weddings, and even friends, and I don't mean to start a jollof war when I say this...but THIS jollof is one of my favorites! And puff puffs were very good. The platter is for one but I was able to share with my family and was still full. Overall a great place to shop and try something unique that is also Halal.

I got flavor fatigue but the first couple bites hittt. Would love to go to their food trucks because there seems to be more options and mixes.
