We were craving Wood oven fire pizza, but none of the wineries offered it because it is not the season yet. We asked for recommendations, and one of the wineries recommended 555 brewery, and thank goodness they did because we had such a good time here. The service was pretty quick and our server was really nice, at one point she did make a mistake with one of our orders, but fixed it immediately and barely had us wait for the food. The pizzas were delicious, and big enough portions that two people could share one pizza. The queso dip was also pretty good. Would definitely recommend to other and return when in the county.

We walked by this beer brewery when we were visiting Prince Edward County for one short day. The outdoor seating is very comfortable. Most people sat outside on this beautiful sunny Sunday. We did a beer flight and had a small appetizer. Overall the beer was good. Restroom is clean. Staff is great. Thank you.

Ok so did not get a beer which seems to be maybe one of their specialties. My friend and I shared a pizza, a Caesar salad and had each a glass of Merlot. It was good but nothing out of ordinary. Actually, it was ordinary good. The pizza had a great thin crust, the tomato sauce was ok, and the toppings were toppings. As for the salad, simple unseasoned croutons, but overall great vinaigrette that made the job. Perfect for simple outing. Their terrace has a good vibe.

Food selection is a bit lacking, mainly just pizza and a few other items. I didn't really want pizza but wanted to try their beer and was hungry so I ended up ordering a pizza. The pizza dough was a bit too thick for my liking. It would have been nice if they serve other pub food like wings.

Since we were in the area, my boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner. It was a Monday night so I expected it to be quiet. Boy was I wrong. There was a wait for a table inside or out. The wait wasn't long and the food made up for it. We were seated at a high stop outside that did not have the most comfortable seats. One reason for the 4 star rating was the seating. Being 6 months pregnant likely didn't help for my comfort. We asked to move to a standard table since one had opened up and were told another group was coming in. Another group never uses that table while we were there. Our server apologized for the delay in advance for our pizza. We ordered a Caesar salad to share which tied us over all until our pizza arrived. I was really happy to see they offered gluten free crust. The other reason for my 4 star rating was that the gluten free crust was an additional $5. I think that's a little unreasonable since those of us who can't have gluten really only have that option. The gluten free crust was excellent though. I would put it in my top 3. I ordered the #2 (gluten free crust) and my boyfriend got the #8 (regular crust). We both enjoyed our pizza and felt we likely could have got one and shared since we both had left overs. Great pizza spot. My suggestion is to either sit inside or at the standard tables on the patio.

My friends and I were on a weekend getaway to prince Edward county and decided to stop and check out Picton on our way home. We spotted 555 Brewery and decided to check it out. They have an expansive patio with games including life sized Jenga. Unfortunately it was raining before we got their so we couldn't check out the patio in all its Glory. We did not that they do have a dog friendly patio which is great for the summertime. We went inside and love the decor, all the staff was very friendly. Their washrooms are gender neutral and say something like we don't care who you are as long as you wash your hands. Besides selling beer they also sell merchandise and a small selection of pins. One thing that threw me off was the lady at the counter said we wanted to sample things to get a flight. She said it has up to 6 options but we can also get less. However when we sat down our server informed us that we had to get 6. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but due to time constraints my boyfriend and I didn't love this. We ended up getting a flight with 5 beers and one cider. Thankfully our friends joined us after we ordered to help us drink some. I personally wasn't a fan of the beers but I am picky with beer. I did like the cider which was suprising. I liked the subtle peach flavor and smooth taste. I also enjoy that when you buy cans to go they use this plastic lid that allows you to snap up to 4 cans together for easy carrying. Great idea. Their food looked great! I would definitely go back again to try their food and have another cider.

Prince Eddy's is a great spot just off the main streets of Picton that serves some great beer. There's plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas to keep you cool. There's a purpose-built stage for live performances. There's a current (?pop-up) resto called Slight Peppa that serves some Caribbean fusion snacks and dishes [I didn't get a chance to try this but it smelled pretty good!]. And of course, did I mention the beach volleyball court?! And now onto the beer! Obviously, not having tried everything they offered, I don't want to over-generalize, but the beers I had all trended towards light and refreshing, instead of heavy and strong in flavours. So basically, great summer beers. And great labels (I'm a sucker for good design)! Chiller Instinct (Dry Hopped Sour): I've always been a bit suspect of beers trying to do too much, but because most of the flavours are subtle, I found this worked really well, and may have been my fave! C.R.E.A.M. Ale: Smooth and a bit sweet. So Many Friends (Session NE IPA): A crisp IPA with a citrusy and floral flavours. I've never seen their stuff in the LCBO, but hopefully they'll make it big enough to get there. Otherwise, I wouldn't hesitate to order directly from them.

What a great end to an already great day in Prince Edward County…read more We came for dinner after being delighted by the vinegars at Black Prince Winery and the liquors at Kinsip Spirits. FYI the gps took us to a collection of buildings called The Warehouse which contains a fancy lodge, a reception area, and a few other things. This restaurant is located past/behind the Reception building and immediately adjacent to the Cookery. Perhaps because of the hot weather and perhaps because it was a Monday night, there was almost no one there and we got the pick of any of the dining areas they offered (garden area, dining room, bar, standard, and patio). We opted for the patio and enjoyed being the only ones there even though it was a bit warm. Seriously, this place is huge and can probably accommodate 100 tables or more despite it looking like a cute, ivy-covered, European-inspired cottage. We opted for the Crispy Chicken Sandwhich and the Fish and Chips plus a beer (Parson's Westy Pale Ale). Our server was so sweet, bubbly, and helpful. I wish I could remember her name but she had long dark hair worn back in a ponytail. She knew a lot about the menu, including the sweets, and helped us choose the Coconut Cream Pie for dessert. The food itself was delicious! Chicken in the CCS was sweet and tangy with great texture and crisp, and the sandwhich was really well balanced with the pickles and slaw. I love me some spice, so I would have opted for a spicy sauce over a sweet one, but it was still a great sandwhich. The house salad it came with was yummy too--greens, cucumbers, and carrots with pepitas and a creamy apple cider dressing. I didn't try the fried fish in the FnC, but SO said it was pretty good. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned with flaked sea salt. The Coconut Cream Pie was excellent. The pie filling was light and creamy and not super sweet, and the crust was definitely homemade graham cracker with a lot of extra sweetness to complement the light filling. I must say it wasn't the best CCP I have ever had (Tartine in San Francisco makes one simply out of this world) but it was still really nice. Overall, great experience and will return.

She picked us up at our AirBnB rental in Brighton, ON (far from her farm!) and drove us around all day in a nice SUV with plenty of air conditioning, room, and water. We stopped at Hillier Winery, Traynor Wines, Hinterland Wines, the Prince Edward Lavender farm (where we had an incredible picnic - more on that later!), Clauson Chase winery, then finally Midtown Brewing as our last stop. Luhana waited for us patiently at each place and never made us feel rushed. Luhana prepared us the most epic picnic lunch I have ever seen - we were totally spoiled!! She made fresh salads with gardens from her farm, local award winning cheeses, local charcuterie, home made sauces, fresh baguette, along with pickles made at her farm. It was absolutely heavenly!! We will definitely be back to do a sourdough bread workshop soon! Thanks again Luhana!
