Love this place! I've stopped in on my travels a couple times. The building used to be a distillery. High ceilings with huge windows greet you upon entering the restaurant area. Lots of seating inside on the sweet sweet patio as well as inside. You can see right into the kitchen area as the chef's create tasty pairings for their tasty beer. They have several on tap; a little something for every beer enthusiast. You can get a flight of 4 or a flight of everything on tap. There is also a bottle shop, so you can take some home. I did! Not only is the location on the Moira River AMAZING, but the staff are equally as amazing. Every staff member I spoke to was so enthusiastic about beer and were excited to share the beer with me. Will definitely be back!

Signal's massive, spacious patio makes this a standout place for beer on a sunny summer afternoon. The interior looks good, too, but I expect the view on the river (on this day, filled with geese) will keep most visitors clamoring for seats outside. The beer menu is a bit limited, but it's early days for this place. On-site brewing is in the works, hopefully along with a more extensive list. When we visited, there were 4 kinds (they were out of "Wave"), plus 2 guest taps (one cider, one stout). (Maybe customers who order flights should have the choice to swap in a guest tap in cases like this). I had the "Byte" IPA, which was really decent. A 20 oz. pour was a welcome surprise after being trained down to Toronto's 12 to 16 ounce glasses. All the staff was super welcoming, you got the feeling they were excited to be working there. Sorry I can't comment on the food, as we didn't order any, but there was a long list of sharing plates. This is a great place to while away the afternoon and early evening. Get here before winter comes and the geese fly south.

Love this place. It used to be a spirit distillery, one of the biggest in canada like absolute vodka. The buildings are brick worked and the space here is huge ( can host a wedding). Really nice walkway patio beside a fast flowing wide river. Their charcuterie boards are awesome and filling. They are a bit different depending on season (i think everything is locally sourced, really fresh) Forgot to say this is a micro brewery with couple of their beers on tap. The sour is really good. Definitely drop by on your long trip, easy access to the highway. Parking is in a field/gravel parking lot across the street. dogs are allowed if you leash them on to the railing. They had a nice doggy bowl water.

Lovely location with a patio right on the water. Corn on the cob was delicious. Highly recommend!

We arrived around noon and were served by a polite young man that admitted he had not yet tried everything on offer. There was a good selection on tap but none of the IPAs I was hoping for. We did a flight of 6 anyway, which are rather generous pours for $12 total. Nice seating outside. Some of the choices were not really appropriate for the hot summer day but surprisingly their darkest beer turned out to be the best (Holy Smoke peated scotch ale). Was not very keen on the regular ales or sours, but the honey mead was interesting so we bought a large bottle to go. There were 3 other small parties that arrived and it became rather cramped in the tiny shack and service got bogged down. I was disappointed that other employees did not emerge from the brewery to help out.

Everything was in its place and there were no complaints or screw face from anyone, just pure joy and lots of smiles. There was plenty of choice of your hoppy brew, fresh from the never ending tap, well, when it did end there was always another keg handy to keep the refreshments going. See my pics for selections of the liquid nectar on tap. Most people asked for pints of their fave selections, but others grabbed large jugs of brew which cost a deposit. Returning with said jug got you a refill. The staff was pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Normally they close at sundown, when the street lights come on, but since we looked thirsty and were not going anywhere, they stayed up with us, drinking and cavorting into the wee hours. When the demand waned and the beer booth got empty, there was a bell to ring to summon someone from the building who would come and run the taps. A big treat for me, and others too, was the hops growing on the porch which is a first for me to see and went well as a visual while downing a pint. They also provided food in the form of delicious fresh pizza from a local restaurant and had piles of slag sitting there alongside the beer counter. It was sold by the slice and really hit the spot on that warm evening. The church building itself was closed for tours with the pandemic, but the outside looked very interesting. There was also a small cemetery alongside it, as well as a larger cemetery across the road right beside where we were camped out, adding an interesting vibe to be sure! The party aspect was well thought out with outdoor facilities in place, as well as a bonfire with plenty of seating for us, and cool tables made from wooden pallets on top of beer kegs which were solid and functional. They even had a movie for us projected on an outdoor screen visible even for some on lawn chairs across the road. Well worth seeking out, just go to the top of the hill just east of the creek, easy to find!

There was a nice patio on the outside and a small eating area on the inside. The house was nice enough to spit the pizza in half to give us two flavours! #5 - Pizza dough was good, parts of the crust was a bit burnt, so cook was on the uneven side. Considering the toppings the pizza was a white pizza and really unique but works well together. Would recommend. Pizza of the moment - #2 with hot honey - overall everything was also a good mix. Sausages were a bit too spicy for me, but the heat was well balanced with the honey and creaminess. Nice to try.

Got their duck and balsamic glaze pizza as well as the pesto with artichoke. The pizza has a nice crust. The balsamic glaze one was a bit too sweet for my taste but the pesto had a delicious creamy flavour. We had their hummus with pita, which lacked depth from some much needed salt and lemon. Their pretzel bites were amazing with the sweet garlic and mustard sauces, could not get enough of that. For the drinks, we ordered ciders which we found was more like sparkling soda than a cider. The flourless chocolate cake was decadent and super rich.
