We made a reservation through tdf.org to watch a show of 18 up and coming singers performing new songs in New York City area. We paid $18 for each of two seats normally price $29.50. They call it 54 below because it is located on 54th Street below street level you have to go down his steep set of stairs to reach the club area. Raised circular platform with cocktail tables surrounding. Arrived half hour before the show and which were seated at a small cocktail table for four persons. There were several four persons cocktail tables each of which was filled with one couple. Eventually a few of the tables were filled with a second couple although our table remains with only two people. We ordered two non-alcoholic mango pineapple coconut drinks together with an umbrella and straw. Each each $12 probably the cheapest drink you can find. Website says customers required to purchase $25 minimum food and drink but our contract with tdf.org said that there was no minimum purchase required. This was the second of two shows the first show at 7:00 p.m. and the second show at 9:30 p.m. Tdf.org tickets were available only for the 9:30 show. Probably 2/3 of the tables were filled, largely of friends and relatives of the 18 different singers. I did not recognize any of the singers nor any of the songs. Now you know why the tickets were so cheap.

We joined some friends there to see Marilyn Maye's cabaret performance (just a few days past her 98th birthday). The club is in the basement of Studio 54, quite an intimate and artful setting. One must get there early enough to put in order for dinner, as one should courteously refrain from eating once the show starts at 7 pm. We ordered crispy Brussels sprouts and classic Caesar salad as starters. As a dairy intolerant vegetarian, my options for a main was limited to the vegan risotto primavera. My husband chose tagliatelle carbonara while my son asked for lobster ravioli. Our appetizers came quickly while our mains took a long time to appear - by which time the show was about to start, and we had to eat in a hurry (hence no photos). The food itself was nice, although the portions were a bit small for the pricing. Marilyn Maye was superb, full of energy and good fun, and her accompanists were all amazing musicians. After each show she'd wait upstairs to receive the audience, chat with them and take photos. It was an unforgettable night for all of us.

I came here last minute for a show and the venue is GORGEOUS. Think cabaret and this is what you get...small intimate tables, stage and entertainment. My reason for 3 stars is more because of the expense. Not only are the tickets expensive, but then you have a drink minimum and the drinks are super expensive. I didn't try the food, but I do want to make sure it's clear that the entertainment and venue is 5 stars, you just need to be prepared for an additional $50 minimum in beverages before you leave!

Music is always wonderful. Although the space is small so I'm not sure why the singers need to use a mic. The service is fast and efficient. We went for a late show and drinks and dessert. We had to send the poached pear back because it was so hard, but the warm chocolate chip cookies were great. Definitely try the warm cocktails.

Had wanted to go to 54 Below for years and finally managed to get there to see the amazing Sierra Boggess. She gave a terrific show in the wonderful venue. We had dinner before the show and the food and service were wonderful. We started with the Shrimp Toast and the Crab Cake - both were really good, especially the Shrimp Toast. For entrees, we had the Ribeye, Scallops and the Norwegian Steelhead Trout - all good. For dessert, the Expresso Chocolate Tart provided a nice, albeit rich, finish. Our server Michael was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, an absolutely great experience.

Velvet curtains, candlelit tables and soaring encores. 54below isn't just dinner, it's a love letter to the stage with each bite as worthy of applause as the ballads echoing through the room. We dined beneath the spotlight indulging in tuna kissed with wasabi, scallops that melted like a second act confession and mocktails dressed like leading ladies. The full performance, courtesy of the kitchen is below: Starters Togarashi Crusted Tuna - Yellowfin, Wasabi & Jicama Slaw, Sweet Soy Glaze, Scallion Crab Cake - Classic Peperonata, Baby Arugula, Lemon Entrées Pan-Seared Diver Scallops - Grilled Baby Bok Choy, Okinawa Sweet Potato, Cherry-Miso Mostarda Ribeye - 12oz Allen Brothers Ribeye, Truffle Fries, Haystack Onions, Seasonal Compound Butter Desserts Strawberry Graham Cracker Cake - Whipped Cream, Strawberry Jam, Cheesecake Gelato, White Chocolate Pearls Mango Passionfruit Éclair - Passionfruit Curd, Mango Mascarpone Cream, Passionfruit Pâte de Fruit Drinks Vinada Airén Gold Zero-Proof Sparkling Wine Hibiscus Spritz - Cherry Blossom, Rose Water, Sparkling Grapefruit Mango-lada - Mango, Cream of Coconut, Pineapple, Lime Zero-Proof Apricot Margarita - Ritual Tequila Alt., Lyre's Orange Sec, Apricot, Lime

What a class act! Venue and productions alike. Mostly geared towards musical theatre cabarets, its stage has been graced by the greats. I recently attended a Therese Theatricals productions featuring its principal, Sofia Therese and her curated know and upcoming talents. Both me and my guests enjoyed ourselves immensely by the entertainment, food, libations and very hospitable staff. I will return soon and often...

I saw Isaac Mizrahi Survives Democracy at 54 Below in August 2025. I loved it and thought it was a nice venue. It's below Studio 54. It's a very intimate space and I don't think there's a bad seat in the place. They serve food and drinks and the service was friendly and speedy. I had berries and whipped cream and a Diet Coke. I would absolutely return.

Top notch entertainment (we come down 3-4 times a year). It is so so intimate with the show professionals. Performances are stellar and they share life stories. Staff are impeccable and authentic. We have not had a bad meal or pour the many times we have been. Love Broadway? Visit with the stars!

Beautiful performance venue. I saw a cabaret here and the atmosphere was perfect (has an old-school, velvety kind of feel). I ended up getting some wine and a charcuterie board, which was quite delicious (though I wish there were more crackers and bread). They have an under-35 program to see performances at a discount, and I recently signed up. I can't wait to go to more shows!

I loved the ambiance, food was excellent, drinks were well made, and the performance (Absolute Zero) was good fun! Service was top notch. Next time I wouldn't sit at the bar, which is facing away from the entertainment. Recommend!

Very cool place to come watch live music, have a drinks, and eat delicious food. I really enjoyed checking this place out on a Thursday night. The Octopus and scallops dishes were delicious! As was the complimentary baked Brie. The servers were very friendly!

I'm a bicoastal between SF and NYC and was able to stop by and see George Bugatti Aug 13 at 54 Below. A fabulous show at a wonder super club in Manhattan. The club is a perfect venue for Georges' incredible talent and knowledge of music and Broadway show tunes. Great dinner and nice to see George back in town. I am looking forward to seeing more of him in the Big Apple.

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.

It was on a weekday, the day of NBA Finals Game 3 when everyone else were at bars & lounges getting ready for the game to start. This afforded us a beautiful and tranquil experience at Osamil Upstairs. Hidden behind a locked door inside Osamil, it's a spot you have to seek out to get in. After we shared we were going to Osamil Upstairs, the hostess from Osamil promptly unlocked the unmarked door for us to head upstairs to Osamil Upstairs. Had other customers not come out as we were walking up the stairs, we might have passed the entrance to Osamil Upstairs and continued upward! Much like what you might expect of a speakeasy, it's well-hidden, and the interior just blows the mind. It's elegant, beautiful, and comfortable. The drinks were good. My cheese in the trap was smokey (as promised!) and alcohol forward. My hubby had the Jung cocktail and it had the most magical, delicious combination of flavors! We also ordered a foie gras with toast appetizer as a pre-dinner snack; it was OK. All in all, a really pleasant experience and we'd return if we were in the area again!

My only two gripes with the spot were - they didn't acknowledge my birthday, even with a happy birthday from my server or the hostess. I am not sure why Resy prompted me to indicate the occasion if it wouldn't even be acknowledged or looked at. It obviously feels good to feel celebrated, so they dropped the ball in this regard. The second issue is it got sickeningly loud inside. This was a sunday night, and I ended up having to shout just to be heard by the girl right next to me. Everything else was good! Though there wasn't a dish that just blew my mind, everything was consistently really good and enjoyable. I recommended ordering a handful of dishes and sharing with a group. The cornstar martini was fun (and the popcorn was great!), the vodka pasta, caesar salad, and truff fries were enjoyable as well. The cute matchboxes were a cherry on top as we were leaving!
