Throughout my lease, the leasing office has repeatedly accused me of marijuana use in my unit with absolutely no evidence. I've never been issued a lease violation, no neighbors have come forward with any direct complaints, and no one has ever found anything in my unit. Still, they continue to make baseless assumptions and treat me like a problem instead of a resident. What makes it worse is the complete lack of fairness and consistency. As my lease is coming to an end, the same management team that has spent the last two years harassing me is now reaching out to ask me to renew my lease yet they refuse to allow me to transfer to a different available unit in the building. I was told that if I want a different apartment, I would have to move out entirely and reapply like a brand-new tenant. No flexibility, no appreciation for being a two-year resident. Just a cold "no" with zero willingness to work with me. That makes no sense, especially after fulfilling my lease and paying rent on time for two years. This kind of treatment feels incredibly unfair and discriminatory. The management's behavior shows they don't care about long-term tenants, only control and convenience for themselves. The apartments themselves might be decent, but the way the leasing office treats people especially long-term tenants is unacceptable. I hope a supervisor or someone higher up sees this and reaches out to help fix this situation. I should be able to transfer to an available unit without being forced out.

We signed lease and payed deposit only to show up on day one with moving truck from 500 miles away to a unit with an overwhelming smell of cigarettes. The manager named "Jericho" tried so hard to convince us the prior tenant who lived there for 9 years was not a smoker and the smell was "wood" although he was unable to name the source. I firmly believe he would lie about other things. In addition, the microwave is installed 8" higher than industry standard making unsafe conditions for my 21 year old daughter at 5'1" tall. Oh, and the water in the shower just trickles out making it impossible to use. So when I reached out to the community Manager, Victor, with my concerns hoping to move to the same unit on a lower floor 3 days ago, my texts were ignored. What a terrible management team. Shame on me for not doing more research on this unethical group of people trying to falsely promote these units that are not fit for human living conditions. Btw, don't fall for these 5 star reviews likely written by bots

These were full-on ragers with bass so loud that my walls, couch, and bed would literally vibrate. Sleeping wasn't an option, and my dog would spend the night pacing around the apartment because she was terrified. Every time it happened, I emailed Brittany Cavallaro, the Senior Community Manager, and Ryan Haar, the Assistant Community Manager. I was repeatedly told they had spoken with the resident, who claimed they had no idea what I was talking about. Finally, at 4:00 a.m., I got out of bed and recorded the noise outside the unit above me. The video clearly captured a party happening inside the apartment. After talking with other residents, I learned that the person living in the unit was actually Ryan Haar--the Assistant Community Manager. After I confronted Brittany and Ryan, I was told the parties happened while he was out of town and that friends were using his apartment without his knowledge. I found that explanation hard to believe, but I was willing to move on as long as the parties stopped. They didn't. Brittany is no longer at The Winslow, and the late-night parties have started up again. This time, my recording clearly captures Ryan's voice inside the apartment. What's most frustrating is that the person responsible for helping enforce the community rules appears to have no respect for the people who actually live here. I pay nearly $3,000 a month for a studio apartment, not to live underneath what feels like a college party house. Luxury apartment prices should come with basic expectations like being able to sleep through the night. Instead, residents are left documenting noise at 4:00 a.m. just to be taken seriously. If management isn't willing to hold its own employees to the same standards as everyone else, that's something prospective renters deserve to know before signing a lease.

After living at the Winslow for a short time I've had a few frustrating experiences but one…read morespecific experience toppled the rest and from feedback from friends and family, I felt it was necessary to write this review. Exactly 30 days after moving in and becoming settled with the Winslow, management had informed me that the parking spot I was assigned and used for the past 30 days was attached to a different apartment, though I had no issue previously. Due to an administrative mistake, I was forced to relocate to a different parking spot and I felt that if I hadn't communicated my discomfort as loud as i did that I would've been moved even further from my original spot. The management resolved it as best as they could. In my opinion if it was a new resident moving in they should've defaulted to seniority instead of relocating me as I've already been here for the past 30 days. The issue should've been corrected with the new resident, not the one already living here if that is the case. Second major issue with moving into the Winslow was a requested document that in my opinion was overreaching for an apartment building to request for new tenants to sign. I had already signed my lease and was preparing to move in when I discovered a "Authorization and Release" form. In itself this document seemed harmless but the language it used was too extreme and permanent in nature. It took a few attempts to get decline this document prior to moving in, but eventually I was capable of moving in without signing it. Final issue with the Winslow to date is maintenance. Specifically service requests regarding some cabinets that were failing. Not a major issue however, for a specific cabinet it had taken 3+ service requests in order to resolve. It is now working perfectly fine but time will tell how long it holds together. There may be some build quality issues with the Winslow. I've found some flooring that is warped, indicated where the flooring meets the molding. These issues by themselves are not the worst thing in the world but together they may form a better picture of the condition of the Winslow. With time, I will circle back to this review and correct it as my experience gets better or worse. As of right now I am hoping that the experience improves with time. I'm still very upset over the parking spot, having to go from a spot with ample space to jump in and out of the car to one cramped is not a pleasant feeling. Hoping that these issues do not continue in the future and that it may still be worthy of signing another lease when this one is over.

I recently moved out of 625 Broadway after living there for over five years, and I wanted to take a…read moremoment to genuinely express my appreciation. At the end of the day, 625 would just be another downtown building if it weren't for the community--and that community starts with the staff. From the leasing agents and managers to maintenance and the cleaning crew, the staff has been exceptional throughout my entire time there. Consistently professional, responsive, and kind, they truly set the tone for the building and make it feel like a place where people care. The building itself is spectacular. Walking through the entrance, you immediately feel the elegance and grandeur of this historic property. The balance of industrial elements--exposed brick, ducts, and steel staircases--with marble finishes and soaring ceilings genuinely elevates your quality of life. The gym is well-equipped with everything you need, and the lounge offers multiple spaces that can easily accommodate several events at once. It's also a pet-friendly building with regular community events. While some of these can feel more like quantity over quality, the book club is a clear exception and a true highlight. I met great people there and made friendships I expect to keep for life. There are a few things worth noting for prospective residents. Noise can be significant if you live on the lower floors, particularly on the west side of the building. My biggest criticism, however, is the parking situation with LAZ Parking, which is a separate entity. Trash often overflowed, stairwells were sometimes littered (occasionally with human excrement), and my car was hit while parked--only to be told the cameras didn't capture it. On another occasion, an open spot was changed to reserved overnight, resulting in my car being towed. There are also pockets around the building with unhoused individuals. The trolley area can feel overwhelmed at times, and the urban camping near the Red Cross has grown significantly. That said, the location is fantastic. There's an abundance of great food, walkable activities, and hidden gems nearby--from Seaport Village to Little Italy, plus countless spots to grab a cocktail or explore downtown. Overall, I truly loved my experience at 625 Broadway. It was my home for many years, and I'm deeply grateful for the staff and the community that made it special. I left with lasting friendships and a lot of good memories--and that says a great deal about a place.

I hope you remember the pendulum always swings back...what you've done to us and others will come back to haunt you. For anyone looking to move into this place, simply - DON'T. Here are some things you should know in addition to everything you read here: - you have to pay a fee to pay your rent. Doesn't matter how you pay it. There is a fee for ALL transactions. No other apartment in San Diego does this... - the garage has epoxy on the ramps which makes you slide backwards when it rains/gets slightly wet. The ramps are steep and winding. I've slid back in a truck and have watched others slide back too. Told them about it and they ignored it. Who puts slick epoxy on a steep ramp?? - More than one of the apartments here has issues; more than one has that fiberglass issue (my neighbor had it in his as well and they ignored him), the maintenance is terrible in part because the construction was terrible... - the front staff is extremely unhelpful when they realise they've been busted. What bothers me most though is that there are some of us who were honest, paying rent and doing our part, yet Andrew felt confident to tell me that they allowed others to rack up tens of thousands of dollars without paying rent, and they simply allowed them to move out. I wish I had followed my mind and trusted my gut, the first time.

This made it difficult to enjoy the view I was paying for because there was very little privacy after dark. My experience with management also left a lot to be desired. During my initial interactions with the leasing office, the manager came across as having an attitude, although I remained respectful and chose to overlook it at the time. Throughout my tenancy, I never caused any issues and was never late on a payment. However, after moving out, I was charged for numerous items that I felt were unnecessary and unreasonable. What was most frustrating was that many of these charges could have been discussed and resolved fairly, but instead I ended up paying several thousand dollars in additional fees. Overall, while the location may be appealing, the lack of privacy and the way move-out charges were handled make it difficult for me to recommend this property to others.

I was visiting a friend with my six-month-old baby and my service dog. When we arrived, we parked in a lot clearly marked for guest and resident parking. A woman at the front desk (I found out later her name was Merna) informed my husband that we could not park there because it was not guest parking and that we either needed to park on the street or have the resident reserve a space. I went back to the front desk and pointed out that the signage did not state that. Rather than simply clarifying the policy, the employee immediately became confrontational and insisted that it was "their policy." I suggested that, if that was the policy, the signage should be made more specific so visitors would not be confused. I was also told that the vehicle could be tagged and potentially towed. What made the situation feel particularly targeted was that there were other vehicles parked in the surrounding spaces, yet my vehicle was singled out shortly after I questioned the unclear signage and suggested that it be updated. I walked away and waited for my friend to come downstairs so that she could make the required reservation and show us where we were supposed to park. Less than five minutes later, while I was still waiting, the same employee walked past me and told me that she had tagged my car and that I needed to move it or it would be towed. My friend came downstairs shortly afterward. She asked the employee for clarification, made the reservation, and we moved the car as instructed. Despite doing exactly what we were told to do, approximately 30 minutes later my friend received a notification with a photo of my vehicle stating that it was improperly parked and that she had been charged. We went downstairs to address the issue. At that point, the employee claimed she did not know what had happened, despite having personally told me that she had tagged the vehicle. She then told my friend that I had said I "would not move the car," which was completely untrue. In reality, I had walked away specifically to wait for my friend so she could make the reservation and help us determine where we were supposed to park. I was also told that the employee had contacted the tow company before my friend even came downstairs to resolve the parking issue. When I pointed out that I had never said I would refuse to move the car, the conversation became even more frustrating. Rather than addressing the discrepancy, I was told that I needed to be "respectful" and that the employee would not continue arguing with me. I have lived in multiple apartment communities, and I understand that properties have rules and parking policies. My issue is not with being asked to follow a policy. My issue is with how this situation was handled. A simple question and reasonable suggestion about unclear signage escalated into my car being tagged, a tow truck being contacted, and my friend being charged a fee -- all while we were actively trying to follow the instructions we had been given. The property itself is very nice, but the customer service experience was unacceptable. Residents and guests should be able to ask questions or raise reasonable concerns without being treated as though they are being difficult or hostile. I hope management takes this experience seriously and considers both improving the signage and addressing how these situations are handled by the front desk/leasing staff.

I also provided photos taken the same and following day showing multiple vehicles parked without any visible permits, which only added to my concerns about inconsistent enforcement. Unfortunately, management's response felt automated and impersonal. Rather than considering the specific circumstances or how easily this could have been resolved with a courtesy call, the response focused primarily on reiterating parking rules. I understand rules exist for a reason. My issue is with how this situation was handled, the apparent inconsistency in enforcement, and the complete lack of consideration for an honest mistake that resulted in a $440 expense.
