One star because Yelp requires at least one. I took my girlfriend's car here because I wanted her to be safe with new tires. To find out that everything had been improperly installed could have led to a dangerous accident is infuriating. This place was recommended to us for its cheap prices. We got there at 9:15am because the business was supposed to be open at 9, but no one was there. We waited awhile. Finally, as we were leaving to take the car elsewhere, someone arrived. We left the car to have 4 tires replaced with new ones. The first thing we noticed when we picked it up was that the tires were not properly lined up with the mark for the valve that is placed by the manufacturer for them to be properly balanced. When we mentioned this to the employees working, they had no idea what the mark was even for. As we were in a rush and they said they had already balanced the tires, we took the car as it was. We were not offered a receipt, and had to ask for one (which by the way, had no mention of the brand or type of tires purchased, or mileage of the car when they were installed). After driving for about 5 minutes, we heard sounds that sounded like objects were flying off of the car and hitting the underside. We pulled over and noticed that the clip-on balancing weights were flying off as we were driving away. They were so loose, they could be removed by hand with little effort (which should not be able to happen). We returned to 5 Town Tire and demanded that the tires be properly balanced using adhesive weights. They quickly rolled out a few car jacks and lifted the car using 3 jacks in spots on the car that were not meant to support weight, and the weight was completely unbalanced, which could have easily made the car tip over while jacked up. The place was extremely messy inside and outside and the employees were not in the slightest bit knowledgeable about how to replace tires. We've never seen a more grotesquely unprofessional establishment in our lives. read more
