Mont took detailed notes to repair the heat damaged exterior areas of our home. I received a quote that listed each area and exactly what I had asked him to do for in that area. Easy to read, and very little small print (reasonable stuff). Mont's crew arrived on time and they walked thru the project with us to ensure what was to be done in each area. Francisco was the primary painter assigned to my job and I can't say enough about him. Friendly, open and honest, he was eager to talk to us an explain what they was doing. The last time we hired a painting company, they failed to complete the job as we requested. That was not the case with Best Bros. The work was far beyond expectation. For example, the areas to be patched were first scraped to remove all damage, and then sealed with a product specifically designed to handle the heat and exposure here in Discovery Bay. Other damaged areas around our doors were repaired and primer before the two coats of paint. At the end of each day tarps were picked up, and the job site was left Martha Stewart clean. When we walked the finished job, Francisco explained what procedures he used for each and every repair. Best of all was the excellent communication, before, during and after the job.

We received a quote and moved forward with having the entire inside of our home painted. When you…read moredo this, you basically hand over your home for a week or more. We had hoped that our home would be respected, it wasn't. Here are some of the issues we experienced: Two coats was in the contract. Several walls throughout the home one have one and you can see roller marks. Several areas on the ceilings were skipped around light fixtures no paint was applied. We have high-end shutters throughout our home and they dropped paint on several, not just light speckles but large drips and puddles. They caused a lot of damage to our brand new base board. They cleaned their equipment in front of our house and left paint drops on our cement. Our hardwood floors had paint droppings everywhere. Our tile downstairs was worse. Paint leaked onto the tile and hardwood around the baseboards. They did not fill many holes they were supposed to address and those are noticeable. Part of the quote included using a wood filler to patch our staircase, they DID NOT DO IT. in addition, the base on the staircase was so bad and they got paint all over the carpet. It looked horrible. We had no choice but to replace it because the damage was so bad. The crew was nice but each day there was someone new. No consistency in the work flow. We called Joe Kelly, the salesman to go over the issues. He addressed it at first then ghosted us. Lots of talk and empty promises. We arranged for someone to come out and they did. They wanted to send someone back to fix things. The one person that came back to address the baseboards walked around our house with a gallon of paint and a brush to touch up baseboard. He dropped paint everywhere. We completely lost faith at this point and requested the owner to contact us. The owner did not reach out via phone or email. We DO NOT recommend Lancaster Painting! Their pitch was great, but what you get is not what they promise. The workmanship is rookie, not experienced like the price tag of the job. There should be an option to give negative stars.

I first called Gus to repaint our baseboards - after seeing the amazing job they they did we called them back to paint our entire house - here's why: 1. High quality paint - not some cheap Home Depot paint 2. They treat your home with the care, properly covering the floors and anything that needs to be covered to protect it. 3. Respectful - I can't say this enough, Gus and his team treated us with the utmost respect. We were home and so when our baby was sleeping, they would were incredibly quiet as to not to wake him. 4. Great to be around - having them here for a week (did our entire house) we actually enjoyed them being here. 5. Fair pricing - Gus charges for quality work. In fact, they not only painted what we paid them to do but also did touch ups to other areas, just because! 6. On time and reliable - not once did we have to wonder if they were coming. Gus and his team we one time every time and did not "split" jobs. His focus was our house and only our house. 7. They even removed and out the blinds back up for us! 8. They helped me move stuff around - thank you! 9. Edges - talk about attention to detail. We have perfect edges around tricky areas. They take their time and do not rush. 10. They are local - not some random franchise. I highly highly recommend Gus and his team. I know when we have another paint job to do - Gus's team is the only team will go with.

He now employs his nephew and grandson and is passing down all the tricks of the trade. Bonnie, Nick's wife, is the unsung hero of all family owned businesses. She does their books, scheduling, written contracts, payroll; she's a jack of all trades. Bonnie's consistent communication throughout the process is second to none. Rest assured, Bonnie is always there to contact when you have questions and is just as knowledgeable (if not more so!) than some of the painters. I spent over 90 minutes on the phone with her at 9PM going over trim and body colors. **The Service** Nick did the walk through and quoted me the median price for painting the outside of the house. What really sold me when selecting between four painters was the professionalism and thorough contract that was drafted by Bonnie. Every single detail of what they were going to do: the type of primer, that type of paint, the removal of a satellite dish, was described in detail. After the initial quote and paint-prepping phase of the process, I changed my mind. Rather than go with your standard acrylic-based paint, I wanted to go with elastomeric paint. Elastomeric paint is "thick as cranberries", as Nick put it, and demands to be hand rolled rather than sprayed on. It was amazing that they were able to work that unexpected change into their extremely tight schedule. The total timeline was about 9 days. Not a single detail was missed. Nick is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to doors, vents, and stair rails. **TLDR** Suffice to say, my house looks absolutely amazing. Nick did an amazing job and Bonnie was a delight to work with. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to add significant value to their home.
