I had this big idea that they would have to cut into a wall or the dining room ceiling to see what was going on. I know nothing about plumbing. But these two deducted that my problem was water on the floor from my kid not closing the shower curtain well enough while showering. They showed me where they thought the water was going right next to the tub. They could have totally taken advantage of the situation and cut Into the wall and charged me more, but they didn't. I will definately call them again, they gained my trust by being honest.

The entire coil price (4500ish) was for if the TVX couldn't be taken off, which it was two bolts so the coil replacement wasn't necessary. This could have been ID'd if the tech had removed the service panel and looked at the coil in the first place. So ultimately you were charging 3800ish dollars to replace a TVX which was a 80 dollar part. You wasted my time and kept my family in the heat for an additional week due to lack of communication. I got my system eventually fixed for 380 bucks ish, with nothing ID'd by your tech actually needing to be replaced. Thanks for nothing.

1 -- Lost fastener, improper reassembly, higher power bills, and poor follow-through…read more I contracted Philbrick Inc. Heating & Cooling for routine cleaning and maintenance on a system I purchased from them for approximately $8,000, and for which I've paid hundreds more over the years for service. The technician who performed the service lost a manufacturer-specific fastener and reassembled the enclosure improperly. One corner of the cover was left with about a 1/2-inch gap, which allowed a significant amount of cooled air to escape into my attic throughout the hottest part of the summer, increasing my electric bill. I discovered the problem months later while replacing the filter. I called Philbrick the next day and requested they correct their mistake. It took approximately four days to get a technician on site. He confirmed a fastener was indeed missing and attempted to fabricate a substitute. Lacking the right part and skill for that task, he ended up taping the corner of the door--a stopgap that still leaked air. He said he would try to scavenge the correct fastener from an old unit back at their facility and "take care of it." Instead, I was told I owed roughly $100 for this visit, despite the issue originating with their prior service. After multiple calls, I spoke briefly with the owner, who said he would investigate and get back to me. He never did, the service call was in June. About two weeks later when I called for an update, the receptionist told me the charge had been waived and she'd leave a message with he owner, but no one has ever followed up about the missing fastener or the energy loss. Today, I went into the attic myself with a flashlight, mirror, and magnet. In about 30 minutes I located the original fastener inside the unit and repaired the enclosure properly. I should not have had to do this. Based on this experience--poor workmanship, delay in response, an inadequate temporary fix, an attempted charge for their error, and no meaningful follow-through--I cannot recommend Philbrick Inc. Heating & Cooling.

It was another terrible way to wake up. My rental property tenant texted to tell me the pilot…read morelight had gone out on the gas hot water. Neither he nor Virginia Natural Gas could get it lit. VNG told him that I needed a plumber. The technician also gave his general assessment of what he thought was the problem. It wasn't a surprise to learn that my regular plumber didn't do gas appliances since they require additional certification & equipment. He referred me to someone who referred me to someone else. I checked the Yelp reviews for that plumber & Philbrick, the plumbing company used by the restoration company that has done work for me. Philbrick had good reviews. The other had bad. Thank you Yelp! Calling Philbrick I expected a wait for service. Their customer service person put me on hold then returned to the line with great news. They had someone in the area & could come right away. Amazing! My tenant was home so I hoped to handle my end over the phone. The technician called on the way to the property and we discussed the problem. He finished getting the pilot light lit in record time & called me from the house. When that particular pilot light is lit there is a button you have to hold in for a specific amount of time. He had instructed my tenant on what had to be done. Both the trip charge & the charge for starting the pilot light were extremely reasonable. We handled the transaction over the phone with a credit card & the receipt was emailed to me. Randy, the technician was extremely nice and answered all my questions regarding the age & normal life span of the appliance. I also questioned the life span of electric hot water heaters, which I have in my main residence. I've had a hot water heater flood before. So I wanted to avoid that at both properties. When I thanked him for the prompt response he told me that he had been rerouted to me. His next call had been sent to another technician. That's the perfect way to handle "In Home" scheduling by a repair center. This company receives my highest recommendation. Thank you for making what started as a really bad day not bad at all. I didn't even lose my morning coffee hour(s) because of the conveniences they offered.

Do not trust Coast Plumbing service technicians in your home…read more Please read the below. I rent through Howard Hanna and Coast Plumbing is the company that was assigned to assess why there wasn't any hot water in my house. The technician that was sent, Phil, determined that the water heater needed to be replaced because it was leaking. The next day I was contacted by Coast Plumbings dispatcher, Linda, who told me that Phil would be by between 1-4pm and that he would call me when he was on his way. Phil showed up at between 10:30-11 a.m. without calling. Thankfully, I got back home about 5 minutes before he arrived otherwise I would have missed him and been forced to go through the entire weekend without hot water. Phil tracked dirt and mud through my home and ruined one of my bathroom towels because he was not fully prepared for the job. He also damaged kitchen floor tiles when bringing the hot water heater into the house and had an extremely poor attitude during the entire job. I tried to overlook his attitude and be understanding because working on weekends does suck--I get it. Shortly after Phil left, I noticed that my AirPod Pros were no longer on my dining room table where I left them. I tried to give Phil the benefit of the doubt but I do not lose things easily. I turned my home upside down searching for my AirPods and sadly, they were nowhere to be found. The ONLY person in my home, other than myself, was Phil. AirPods are easy to pocket quickly because they're small and easy to conceal. I am so disappointed and sick to my stomach to know that this happened right under my nose. I'm very thankful to have hot water again but I am distraught knowing that a thief was in my home. Be wary of this company.

A plumber was sent to our home, and he had temporarily fixed the issue. However, he broke our kitchen cabinet after leaning on it too hard, he left his dirty shirt in our home, he left his dirty towel, and he left the kitchen floor soaked with all of the water that he sucked out of the pipes. Didn't even bother to clean it. It left my kitchen rug soaked and I didn't even realize until I stepped there and got wet socks (we all hate the feeling). Fast forward to now, our main sewage line has been acting up, but everytime the plumber comes here, he comes and leaves without saying a word to us or telling us what he is doing. He dug into the front of our yard with a tractor to get to a pipe, which is fine, but he also hit our house with the tractor which left dents and marks in the brick of our house. We have had to go weeks without being able to use our toilet, shower or laundry room due to this issue. And they failed to contact us about scheduling another time to fix the issue. (We rent our house so the landlord contacts them and then they reach out to us). The landlord and I were very frustrated and upset that this problem has been going on for so long due to miscommunication and unprofessional behavior on behalf of this company. If it was my choice, I would never be doing business with this company again; however, it is who the landlord does business with, and I cannot control that. Pictures of the side of our house and broken cabinet are below.
