Tried to hire them for a job, all I got was a vague runaround from their AI chatbot. Went with a competitor.

We noticed the plunger in our master bathroom sink would not close to fill the sink. We contacted the business, and they were very responsive and made an appointment to come within 48 hours. They diagnosed the problem and gave us a couple of options. We decided on purchasing our own hardware and having them install. The technician was on time and had everything to complete the job. He was in and out in a very short time leaving it professionally finished. read more

The guys who came to my house for multiple days to fix our plumbing pipes were great! Very friendly & polite. I appreciate Katie for working with us to get the payment portion handled. Overall great experience! read more

Highly recommended - prompt, competent, reliable, honest service. Mr. Rooter offers unique plumbing services that other businesses do not offer such as cast in place piping (as opposed to a full replacement sewer line). read more

Once again these guys have saved me and my plumbing issues. My water heater cracked and they came out same day and replaced it. I can't say enough nice things about this company! They really know what they are doing and I am confident that I am paying for quality work. The technicians are always friendly and quite knowledgeable. They are my go to plumbers! read more

Amazing job didn't try to sell extra and was able to pin point what what was wrong really quick. Would highly recommend

Our sink was backing up. Not the first time. I tried snaking it myself from the outside clean out. Didn't fix it. I called Mr. Rooter. A nice lady told us someone could come out today, on a Saturday, which was what we wanted. It took a little over an hour and Ryan Dean came out. I liked the fact I got a text with his picture. He had a machine that had a longer snake and was able to unclog the line. Everything was done great. There was nothing I could complain about. Everyone was friendly. Would definitely call again! read more

Adam was great. used the camera to detect no issues was quick and professional. thanks Adam and Mr Rooter plumber

We had Mr. Rooter come out to our house to address a clogged double vanity sink that had been giving us issues lately. Their technician, Brian, was friendly, knowledgeable, and cognizant about keeping any area he worked in clean and tidy. He successfully unclogged our sink, and during an entire home check of all of our plumbing, he found that we had a wobbly toilet in our guest bathroom that he recommended we have centered and resealed. He fixed that for us as well. We are so grateful to have a plumbing company in the area that is reliable, trustworthy, fair in price, and cares about the homes of their customers. We will definitely recommend Mr. Rooter of Virginia Beach to friends and neighbors. read more

Mr. Rooter recently cleaned out some clogged pipes for us. Another company tried to cut open the wall and run new pipes but Mr. Rooter figured out the problem and solved it really quickly! Thanks! read more

A great time. Fast easy to understand. Easy value. We had a leak in the down stairs area and they were fast and effective. read more

My experience with this company is not great. So let me break it down. Initially, I was informed that my drain line couldn't be snaked completely due to roots, which turned out to be incorrect. After consulting another company, they successfully cleared the line and discovered that the replacement pipe had been installed incorrectly. They also noted that the entire line was improperly graded, meaning that even if the immediate issue was resolved, backflow would still occur. The removal of the tree roots and the installation of 10 feet of new pipe cost nearly $2,000, while I had received an estimate of over $4,000 for a partial fix that wouldn't have addressed the underlying problem. I'm relieved we caught these significant plumbing issues early on, as it seemed the first company was not fully transparent and may have been trying to piece together a solution. Trusting my instincts, I chose to go with the second company, which did an excellent job. As a side note, I never received photos of the completed work from the first company, and despite my follow-up calls, I'm still waiting for them. read more

I can't recommend Mr. Rooter more highly (wish I could give 10 stars) and their phenomenal specialist Zane! We had a hot water heater installation that needed to be done prior to listing our house for sale. We had gotten probably 6 other quotes from people around the area, all of which tried to sell us crap we didn't need. I made one call to Mr. Rooter (via HomeAdvisor, I believe), and Zane came right out. Not only did he have a huge amount of knowledge and expertise for what we were looking for (tankless, large enough for this size house), but he knew enough to know we wouldn't recoup the investment for this area. He showed us exactly what we needed and gave us a quote that was extremely competitive for anyone else we've talked to. Not only did he quote us with multiple options, he came out the very next day after we picked one and installed it quicker than it took me to look him up! I highly recommend going with Mr. Rooter for any plumbing needs you might have, and specifically request Zane...because a solid trustworthy service specialist is super hard to find these days and he will take care of anything you need! Excellent job folks!! read more

My master bathroom was clogged. The remaining portions of the house drained just fine. Two plumbers and 4 hours later, it was determined the only thing that could clear the clog was an hydrojetting the vent stack for $1,300. I'm not sure if that work was completed because they couldn't produce any pictures of it being done and my bathroom was still clogged. Since I had signed the agreement and had to pay before they left. Two different plumbers returned 4 days later and within 20 minutes, using a snake and plunger cleared the clog and charged me $550 since they were their 'master plumbers'. I did receive a refund 12 days later for $700. The worst part? The drain only stayed clear for 2 days. I had to call another plumber who sent one guy, charged me $450 for 2 hours of work and my drain has been clear ever since. Please don't use Mr. Rooter! read more

I'm very thankful. Ryan's service was beyond exceptional! Job complete and knowledge learned.

My water heater went out last night. I called Mr Rooter and they had someone here first thing in the morning. They were very knowledgeable and conservative in their approach. Sean was my technician. He was able to identify and provide options for the repair. I opted for a new water heater and he was able to replace and install the new job quickly and efficiently. I will call Mr Rooter for all my plumbing needs. read more

2 stars given - 1 for being reliable and 1 for coming out the same day. Service and overall price was... well... subpar. Overcharged and incorrectly charged for the plumber just to replace the rubber stoppers on the shut off valves in my shower. (It was only 2 steps for him for to do & I had even explained to him what needed to be done; very easy job for him). He also used my tools and didn't even bring in his own. When he removed the shut off valve screws, it was covered with calcium buildup. Plumber didn't clean it or brush it. He removed the old rubber stoppers and replaced it with new ones, put the new stopper back on the calcified screw and put it back in place. Left the old rubber stopper pieces in my tub and didn't clean it up. My invoice shows that I was charged for "Repair 1/2" Water Hose Faucet", which is an incorrect service, but the plumber said there wasn't anything in his system that has a quote for replacing the rubber stopper. So, I was charged way more for a "repair" he didn't do. I asked why it cost so much & he said it's for labor. $260 for him to unscrew a screw, put a rubber cap on it & screw it back, while leaving a mess, borrowing my tools, and not even cleaning the part he "repaired". He also had to leave and come back because he only had 1 rubber stopper on hand, which took another 45mins or so. He was a nice guy but I expected more professionalism and courtesy - charge your customers accordingly to the work and effort, use your work own tools, clean the part that's being "repaired", ensure you have the supplies needed in your truck, & clean up after your service read more

This message is to verify the 30 minute response time of this company. I was pleasantly surprised that someone reached out to me before the 30 minutes. Thank you Paula. We were unable to use this company because the work was previously contracted to a company that finally showed up to do the work. However I have definitely locked this number in for any future plumbing issues. read more

I drilled through a water pipe and needed a repair quickly. The initial phone call to set of the appointment dropped a few times, but once I stated I needed an "after hours" repair a plumber arrived in a timely manner. The job was done satisfactory (so far, there is a year warranty on the work). After talking to other trade members, the cost was expensive for the job regardless of the $189 after hours fee, $615 for the service itself. The work was adequate and the technician was kind, just pricier than other quotes I got after the fact. read more

We have used Mr. Rooter Plumbing several times in the past, and each time we've had a superb experience. Recently, Zane Albrecht came out to unclog a shower drain and was very patient with me and answered all of my questions and addressed all my concerns. I appreciated his professionalism, his expertise, his patience ( with me) , and all the information that he shared with me with regards to plumbing. Earlier this year, Mr. Rooter Plumbing replaced all the plumbing on another property, as well as the main sewer line and again, we were very satisfied with all the work done, with the timely communication, as that project was being completed, and with the rapid response to our initial call ( within an hour after 5 pm). Hence, I definitely recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing and I'm grateful for the timely response and for all of the exceptional service. read more

They will not give you any kind of price range before they come and it's $85 just to come. I wanted my shower drain cover replaced and the drain unclogged. He gets there and tells us we could do it ourselves with a screwdriver but he can do it for $689! What a joke! DO NOT CALL THEM! read more

Brian came out within less than an hour of me calling. Right off the bat he was kind. I explained what was happening and he went right under the sink to look. He presented me with a reasonable offer for the job. He had to snake our kitchen sink as it was clogged and backed up on both sides. He got the clog out and spent a decent amount of time testing to make sure there wasn't water backing up again. He then replaced a part of piping that wasn't correct. He cleaned up everything. He was even kind to my 4 year old daughter. Super friendly and personable. Would hire this company again and would hope Brian would be the plumber to come out. Great service! read more

Arranged for the company to come on a Friday to check out my problem and provide a free estimate. No call, no one ever showed up. On Monday I'm called saying that they had missed my communication on Yelp for setting the appointment and wanted to know if they could come. I was replied to on yelp, so I knew that wasn't true, but let them come anyway. The technician was great and did an excellent job helping to clarify the misdiagnosis. However, he said there was a $59 dispatch fee. I told him the appointment was only for an estimate. He said I still had to pay. I don't fault the technician, he was doing his job. I fault the company, and that's why I won't be giving them any more business. read more

I called for a evaluation and I was told on the phone that it'll be free, I had called because whenever someone was using the bathroom and the kitchen sink at the same time our kitchen sink would clog but eventually it'll go down with the garbage disposal. After explaining to my concerned wife that something like that is normal she insists on calling a professional I went with Mr. rooter because like I stated before they would do a free evaluation. The gentleman came in did his best to remake the situation my wife was concerned about. He too said it was normal. He was at my house for 45 min I know this cuz I tacked it on my ring doorbell, he didn't put a snake in my drain he just kept turning water sources on and off. Later he says my crawlspace is producing "graywater" I checked before he looked and my crawlspace wasn't flooded only some water at the entrance. I myself have done crawlspace work and went under my house before this visit and didn't find any leaks on the vapor barrier. During the time he was here he says " I have to charge you something for the time I was here" I agreed because as a pest control technician I charge for my time but I don't charge $201 for less than an hours work!!! I'm not happy with the service I was given. I simply paid $201 for a professional to tell my wife I was right the whole time. read more

I found Mr. Rooter through Yelp after calling two other plumbing places to get a quote and time frame in which someone could come out. I had a washer installed but the delivery guy couldn't get the hot water hose off the valve and advised I call a plumber to help so nothing gets damaged. The water in my house is apparently very hard and the hose was REALLY old (19ish years) so the hot water hose had fused to the valve. Mr. Rooter was able to send a technician out a couple of hours after I called (all other places I called said maybe late Friday, but likely early Monday) which was great! My technician's name is Zane Albrecht. He was incredibly personable, explained everything he was doing, and was very professional and polite. If I have any plumbing issues or plumbing needs in the future, Mr Rooter will be the first company I call and I will request Zane Albrecht every time! Thank you for helping me get my washer up and running. My kids and their stinky clothes thank you! :) read more

I would recommend this company because of their honesty and integrity. We just had a repair done on a toilet leak. It turned out that the parts they replaced did not fix the problem. We called and the company sent back their technician (Zane) the very next day. He realized that some other part needed to be replaced. He explained the situation to his boss. They fixed the problem without any additional charge. I was happy to see they stood behind their workmanship and warranty. Zane was very courteous and easy to work with.
