The regular sales prices are good and they usually always have plenty in stock. So you ask why the 3 star review? It's the customer service or the lack of. Even when I load up my basket without any assistance and go to the checkout I feel like I'm imposing on the elderly checkout lady. She's obviously unhappy to be working but she should try smiling or pretend to be nice. Don't scold a customer for bringing in a paper coupon instead of using his phone. And at the very least, try a thank the customer for shopping. I'll give Dunhams 1 more shot but if there is no customer service, I'm done.

I walked in (of course everybody here is always welcoming and professional) and when I saw the newest gear inventory, I knew I was in trouble lol. Seriously, the product lineup they have and their ability to provide well rounded kit customization and just overalltailored solutions is remarkable (I'm still kind of surprised they don't have massive egos in sucha high quality shop). So yes, Maverick Tactical is still holding strong as the store within Burlington (likely all of North Carolina), with the coolest stuff in house and available to purchase. The team here is very knowledgeable on their own products and the products they source, they're honest to a fault (everything here is high quality but maybe it comes from overseas, maybe it's American made, they're gonna let you know. As a customer that transparency matters. They're creative without overselling to you and the prices are totally reasonable throughout. I can't say enough good stuff about a tactical shop that truly has its customers in mind! He was great starting out, got out several boots, we told him that we were just beginning to look, our son has just started skiing. He had an appointment but was willing to work us on. Neither of us know anything about skiing or bouts. So he took a lot of time and we appreciated that. He talked a lot and we just thought he enjoyed telling his skip stories so we listened. His appointment came he asked us to wait and we said sure. and so we waited and when he was done I said hey we aren't purchasing today but he didn't seem to listen and was heading to the back room. and then I went over there to tell him we weren't purchasing today but we would purchase the socks since we weren't buying. He immediately got super angry and said why did you let me do all that? We said we didn't know? You never asked If we wanted to buy them. You just assumed. We just started. Didn't realize that you have to buy if you get fitted and he was so angry and said you owe me $50 for the fitting and I said sure. And he said no just go just leave. I was so embarrassed even tho we never did anything wrong. He never once asked hey which ones do like , would you like to purchase these? Just assumed we were and went back and started warming them or whatever. Well we have no clue about skiing and we told him that. I came in with my gf about a year ago to buy some ski goggles for her and the man was extremely rude and disrespectful. Even after spending $$ he was still a total jerk. As another customer has stated the man (owner) of this place is an Ill-tempered ego maniac that will be rude to you even after making a purchase. Good to know he hasn't changed one bit and is still treating customers like garbage! He's even rude to you on the phone if you just call to inquire about trying on ski boots! This is one of those rare occasions when a business deserves to fail solely due to owner incompetence. This man needs anger management and social skills classes ASAP.
