Now compared the other retail options out there in the world, you might say, what is so special about this place. But know in Elon, this is unique because this is charming and lovely and might be the best spot (and only) you can find unique gifts, jewelry, greeting cards, candles, women's clothing, etc. in Elon. It is worth a pop in simply to see what you might find. The store is organized well, staffed by a friendly person and cute. If you are visiting your daughter who goes to Elon, she would surely find something for herself in this store.

First, they don't allow refunds but don't display that anywhere eccept on a receipt that's provided only after you've made the purchase (unethical). Second, they charge a whopping 3% surcharge if you use a card (who uses cash anymore?). Charging to debit cards are illegal but they still do it (again, illegal). Since their merchandise can get pricey, it's easy to spend over $200 bucks on just a couple of items. 3% of that is $6. Yikes! Whats "odd" is having either the owner or her dog follow you around the store. Some may appreciate the extra attention, but not everyone does. It feels invasive and in a small store, it gives creepy! Now, for the checkout process -- you'll need lots of patience because they write down each item on a 1975 receipt pad, then use a calculator to do the math as there isn't a cash register. Also, you'll have to wait for a very antiquated process to add that surcharge and tax onto what's become A VERY DREADED PURCHASE. Wonderful merchandise and beautiful store, but that's the only good thing to say about it...simply not worth it!
