I asked the greeter (drowsy guy in beige and white) if he could call a manager to get some more cashiers. About 5 mins later Roger waddles up and is all confrontational, "Did you need something?" I said, "Yes, wanted to let y'all know we're over a dozen deep in line here." "We're working on it," barks Roger with a condescending tone. Then does an about face. To their credit and being fair, they did get another two cashiers a while later. But why the attitude, why the aggressiveness? I was just trying to spend my money in this establishment and I get bad-vibed? I love Bass Pro, but today's experience really drives home the fact that a good shopping experience is about a lot more than price and selection. Crappy employees can take what could have been a positive and turn it memorably negative.

I walked in (of course everybody here is always welcoming and professional) and when I saw the newest gear inventory, I knew I was in trouble lol. Seriously, the product lineup they have and their ability to provide well rounded kit customization and just overalltailored solutions is remarkable (I'm still kind of surprised they don't have massive egos in sucha high quality shop). So yes, Maverick Tactical is still holding strong as the store within Burlington (likely all of North Carolina), with the coolest stuff in house and available to purchase. The team here is very knowledgeable on their own products and the products they source, they're honest to a fault (everything here is high quality but maybe it comes from overseas, maybe it's American made, they're gonna let you know. As a customer that transparency matters. They're creative without overselling to you and the prices are totally reasonable throughout. I can't say enough good stuff about a tactical shop that truly has its customers in mind! Even when I load up my basket without any assistance and go to the checkout I feel like I'm imposing on the elderly checkout lady. She's obviously unhappy to be working but she should try smiling or pretend to be nice. Don't scold a customer for bringing in a paper coupon instead of using his phone.
