Caston was very price competitive and their varied references were were candid and spoke highly of their work and workmanship. Replacement of a large roof is messy work and Jason Caston and his crew took measures to protect our landscaping, driveways and pool and deck areas - everyday. Recently we noticed a leak from a bathroom ceiling! Jason responded immediately and after a thorough examination it turned out our the sealing of our stone/coral chimney (40 years old) had finally succumbed to age. Water was leaching through the chimney seams. Prior to ascertaining it was the chimney and completely repairing that leak, Jason and his team did meaningful replacement work of a section of our roof which proved unnecessary. His company probably spent 6 full days in repairing the roof (unnecessary) and the chimney. He replaced the bathroom ceiling and repainted that room! Caston Roofing exceeded our expectations in every respect!

My mother-in-law is elderly, so my husband (her son) and I helped manage the process of getting estimates and completing the project. Our family has actually worked with Dennis Roofing for over 25 years. Over the years, they have come out several times to repair leaks around the house. My father-in-law( which has now passed) was a very cautious and selective person when it came to trusting contractors, but he always trusted Frank, Eddie's father, Eddie and their crew to take care of the roof. After Frank passed the business on to Eddie, the same level of professionalism and service has continued. Eddie takes the time to explain everything clearly and in detail, so you fully understand the work that needs to be done and why. The roof had originally been installed by their company nearly 30 years ago, which shows the quality of their work. When Eddie came out to provide the estimate for the replacement, he also pointed out a few additional improvements needed in the patio area that we were grateful to address. The crew was incredibly respectful and kind to my mother-in-law every day they arrived. They worked quickly, efficiently, and very professionally. The entire process--from the paperwork to the installation--was organized and completely stress-free. The new roof looks beautiful, and several neighbors have already complimented us on how great the house looks. We highly recommend Dennis Roofing to anyone who needs roofing repairs or a full roof replacement. They are honest, reliable, and truly care about the quality of their work.

I would recommend them as long as you as a customer understand that there can be weather delays. I had a few issues arise during the second re roof project. They were able to address the issues. I would also say I've attempted to contact them regarding a "later date facia replacement" more due to my needs of removal of an attached patio to be demolished... but calling multiple times or texting even to refer my neighbor for a quote... ghost. No reply. No call back. But hey, they aren't required to tell me personally if they are out of town or just super busy - as my jobs are completed - it's not an active job that needs immediate attention. To sum it up overall, they are still a roofing company I would recommend. Just understand they may have multiple projects going on, so adjust your expectations. Monitor your project to ensure satisfaction. They will do their best to reconcile any hiccups. Anthony and LiAnn are great. I would do another roof project with them bottom line. Restoring Faith and Reducing Gray Hairs…read more If all my past experiences with Miami contractors had been this smooth, I wouldn't have so many gray hairs today. I contacted four roofing companies for quotes on my modest single-family home, but only three responded. Because I've had terrible experiences with all types of Miami contractors in the past, I sent each roofing company a detailed list of questions and requests. Of the three, only two replied, and the most complete and thoughtful responses came from Gigi at La Fe Roofing. The way Gigi answered every question thoroughly, instead of giving one-word replies, showed professionalism and a commitment to communication. Once the contract was signed, Gigi and her team at La Fe Roofing handled everything from submitting the HOA request to filing county permits. At the end of every day, the La Fe team secured all the materials and cleaned the area keeping my family safe from debris. The work progressed timely and Gigi kept me informed every step of the way. By the way, the La Fe price was also the best. This was by far the most stress-free experience I've ever had with a contractor. I highly recommend Gigi and La Fe Roofing, because with the integrity in their work, La Fe is restoring faith in Miami contractors.

Honored (and surprised) to be writing first review for this very experienced and long-established…read morecompany, that provides ONLY metal roofing. They do one thing and they do it well. Whenever there is a company with few reviews, I am always skeptical when I read a 5-star review, but as I'll explain below, it's legit. This spring (April/May 2014) I had an aluminum metal roof installed on my 1-story residence. Because the house is directly on salty (brackish) water, aluminum was the only way to go (otherwise rust is a major issue). I did a LOT of research before going with MET: (i) I read online roofing forum metalroofing.com and asked experts questions, (ii) I consulted with out-of-area contractors to get referrals in the north Dade area, (iii) I called the customer service of the people who manufacture the actual metal to see who they sold the most product to in SoFla, (iv) I did a sunbiz.org check to check for a long-established company (not one that goes bankrupt every few years to avoid warranties), (v) I did a myfloridalicense.com check (to ensure current licensure and complaint history), (v) I used my lawyer skills to do a search of court records to see if the companies I was interviewing had been sued in the county, and (vi) I researched the County "NOA" (notice of acceptance) for information about how the job would be installed, materials used, wind tests on the product, etc. etc. After all that background work I visited several past jobs from a "resume" that was several times larger than the competition's, and what I saw clinched it. Why so much research? I knew replacing a roof was going to be an expensive project (tens of thousands of dollars), so I had to make sure it was done right and wouldn't need to be done again: probably in the rest of my lifetime - or until my house and the rest of Florida, is under water. The job went exactly as described. Major Threlkeld (the owner) personally measured the job and prepared the quote, which really distinguished MET from the other candidates from the get-go. Major also visited multiple times during the work. The tear-off was completed in 2 days with the help of a 12-person crew and 2 dumpsters. The crew was a great group of guys - no communication issues and they got everything to the point where it was rain-safe quickly. A layer of fireproofing, a layer of "30-lb" paper, and then a few weeks to meticulously install the aluminum (which is shaped off of a roll, cut to size, and then installed by crimping the entire length of each sheet of shaped metal on the roof). Special shout-out to Lazzaro who was outstanding, and a real "artist" when it comes to metal roofing and related woodwork. I know many people in the market to get a new roof are usually not in a happy mood: there is usually an emergency: a leak, or even a roof caving in. I was fortunate to not be in such a state when I got my quotes, which was a real luxury in allowing me to do all the crazy research I described above (research which literally took months). The price I paid for the job was exactly in line with the competition, and I got the most experienced contractor for that same price. Metal costs more than tile, but has greater longevity, is more ENERGY-efficient and has offers way better wind and water protection. It also lasts longer and is less maintenance (less of that black mold tiles always get annually), so the difference in cost is easily made up over the decades-long life span. I'm happy to be added to MET's lengthy "resume" of work performed, and look forward to "converting" others away from concrete tile (which are basically hundreds of little future hurricane-projectiles on every house - metal should be mandatory and tile outlawed). As one of my neighbors said to me last week: "your roof is the envy of the neighborhood." What more can I say, except 5-stars.

I believe Mark S. pretty much summed it up best, I too did a lot of reading and research after a…read morefriend recommended MET after doing his roof. If anyone needs to re-do their roof, metal is the only sensible way to go due to it's longevity and hurricane resistance and MET is the best company to go with. It's been a few years now and I've had no problems at all, and I'm sure will continue to do so for the next few decades.
