They personify honesty and competence! My friend and I experienced personalized service that was over-the-top wonderful from reservation to Simon delivering us back to our front door step at the end of the dive. They make you feel like you are the most important client they ever had! Simon is PADI SCUBA Instructor (MSDT) and has become a qualified Cabo Pulmo Marine Park Guide (that is where we dove). He is incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of diving and all the best dive sites around Los Barriles. His even, calm manner makes for a wonderful experience; he was amazing for us as experienced divers but would clearly be an ideal choice for less experienced or nervous divers. When I return, I will contact DIVEINBAJA for my next dive near Los Barriles!

I had not been diving in almost 6 years, Simon put everything at ease. The equipment is top notch. The sites he took us to were special and not over dove. Claire was so helpful and offered all the info I needed. A definite treasure in the Sea of Cortez. Some of the best diving in the world. Thank you Claire and Simon!

There are no public trash cans so please bring a trash bag with you. I came in during 8 AM. Right before the sun hits its peak at noon. It's a great time to relax and enjoy the water. The water is clear so you can see small fish in the water. There are stingrays, so be careful when you walk. The hiking trail right next to the parking lot is a great opportunity to climb to the top of the hill and access a beautiful view of the whole beach. Bring laced up shoes you don't wanna risk an injury. Love it here. Hope to come back in the future.

Its where the desert mountains meet the Sea of Cortez. If you do plan to visit keep in mind that the government now limits the amount of visitors per day. That means that people form a line to get in about 1hr to an 1hr and a half ahead of your allotted time slot. Is it worth it? Yes, because it's going to be a beautifully unique experience that, yes was worth the effort. Preservation of the area is now a top priority of the government. Our two guides were delightful, and very knowledgeable about the biology, geology, and history of the region. You can bring your own wetwear and snorkeling gear (some type of neoprene wetsuit is best; 1.5 - 2mm was appropriate for the weather and water temp on our visit, you might need 3mm at the coldest part of the year), or rent a wetsuit (quite cheaply) and borrow a snorkel and mask for free.

What makes this trip unique is that Alan is a genuine Marine Biologist who has a true love of the ocean and all its life that it offers. We left the pier around 10am. It took an hour and 45 minutes to arrive at the SeaLion rookery cause along the way they stop and show you local bird life and other points of interest. The SeaLion area is amazing. The sights and sounds of the beautiful animals in there native habitat is humbling. THAN you get to snorkel up close and they are very playful. Like puppies. One even kissed my wrist. About 45 minutes there. After we motor to a private beach where they spread out a tasty lunch(Homemade Ceviche!). After lunch, an hour of snorkelling in a protected cove. We had time to stop at a deeper cove to freedive for about 15 mins. Than the ride back to the dock. I have heard said many times that if you love what you do for a living, it's not a job. I really witnessed that today with Alberto and Alan. Just a GREAT tour that I won't ever forget. Just a word of caution, the area where the SeaLions reside had a very strong undercurrent today. I had to really kick with flippers a little bit to get away from boat. I was told this is unusual for this area. With a life vest on, It wasn't that big of a deal, but You should be ready for it. I can't wait to come back next year to swim with Whale Sharks. It will definitely be with Alan and Alberto.
