Loooove this place! I like to go on Saturdays just for the DinoRib. It is delicious! Huuuuge rib loaded with meat that falls off the bone, it almost tastes like barbacoa by how soft and juicy it is. We have been here 7 times my wife ordered leg quarter plate and ask the waitress how much for a extra leg quarter. She was told $1.09 but when we paid the supposed manager said it was an extra $4.99 for a leg quarter, and was argumentative. They need to get another manager if she is the manager and we will not be back. read more

It's tucked away in what looks like an old house, which is apparently a hallmark of authentic BBQ around here - an atmosphere I love. Once inside, we sat down at a small table. The interior here is what you'd expect of south Texas kitsch -- stuffed deer heads, rattlesnake skins and fur pelts, along with some ancient family & obscure celebrity autographed photos. I ordered the brisket with the fajita option, and the meat was delicious. I could have enjoyed an entire meal of their chips & salsa -- chunky salsa with just enough kick. They also make their own flour tortilla chips, where are a delightful combination of chewy and crispy. The mac & cheese side that I got, however, tasted like it came straight from the blue Kraft box, but not before spending a little too much time in the water. The baby back ribs were amazing, the brisket had great flavor. The BBQ sauce is really good and the fajitas have a nice seasoning. The baked potato is fairly big. I've tried this place twice now hoping the first time was an "off day" for them but I remain not impressed because the brisket is sliced paper thin and slathered in BBQ sauce. Although the sauce is sweet & tasting the fatty brisket leaves much to be desired as it lacks the smoke flavor & true smoke ring. The ribs were tender but also lacked that good smoky BBQ flavor. The sides included rice & beans and the rice was soft and had the true Mexican cumin flavor & spice. At first glance of the beans, they look tasty by seeing small cubes of onion, pepper, and bacon. However, the cumin flavor added to the beans takes away from the dish itself and whether you're eating rice or beans - you're tasting the strong cumin added. Although the preparation sets itself apart from the others, the expectation of "Texas" BBQ is off scale. read more

My wife and I had lunch there today and each of us ordered the 2 meat/2 sides BBQ plate which was listed on the menu at $8.49 a plate - unless you choose fajita or pulled pork, then it's $9.99. The menu states "Choose from: Fajitas, Chicken, Beef Short Ribs, etc" We both chose chicken and beef short ribs because we really didn't want to pay the $1.50 up-charge per plate just to get Fajita or Pulled Pork. When I went to pay I noticed the amount was high so I asked why. The lady said because we had gotten the Beef Short Ribs and "here we count that the same as Fajita." That is FALSE ADVERTISING!!! If they are going to do that, they should say so on the menu as well as having their wait staff advise the customers about it. After arguing with her, she finally had me go ahead and sign my receipt with the higher charge then opened the till and handed me $3.00 (so she kept the additional taxes for herself). Great place baby backs were awesome, comes with 2 sides I ordered fries, and Mac and cheese. Fries were great! Mac and cheese was kraft, I was expecting homemade.
