One of my go to pizza places! I've never actually been inside but order from them constantly. Their wide menu that goes beyond pizza is a big plus and makes them to the go to pizza option for a big group. Their salads are really well prepared too! Their garden salad isn't your average "here's some lettuce with a tub of cheese". I love the customization options such as adding apples! These guys know how to make a hecking good salad! I wish their customization options for pizza included thin crust and the amount of sauce and cheese but we can't have everything! read more

We love getting pizza from here because it meets both our kid's and my in law's requirements, which is a surprisingly difficult combo. Classic pepperoni pizza for the kids and vegan for the in laws. They always enjoy the calzone and the "chicken" pizzas we get. The vegan wings on sugar cane are sooo good if you aren't vegan food or not! They have a crusty crunch outside that tastes like a real wing! We always fight over them. We've splurged on the dessert pizza before too and it's also delicious! So glad they are close so we can order from them anytime! read more

It's always nice to try a new place and I'm glad I found this one. It's awesome that it's not far from my hotel. Really nice staff and quick service. Pizza is great and the slices are huge. Should have just gotten one (with a drink it's only $5) but it's nice to have leftovers. They have more than just pizza; sandwiches and pasta. The garlic knots has a lot of flavor and the marinara tasted like someone actually cares and isn't just getting it out of a can. I feel really bad that 48 North Pizzeria has such terrible reviews... my experience was nothing close to what the terrible reviews say. In my experience, I find it most helpful to use the Yelp Sort function and just read reviews of people with an actual picture or who have written more than 10 reviews. Enough about that. Onto my experiences here. We ordered through Door Dash for pickup. It's located inside Fido's Tap House, which is situated in the same plaza as Walmart with plenty of parking. We ordered the following 12 inch pizzas and appetizers: Cheesy Bread Garlic Knots Hawaiian BBQ Roasted Potato Word of advice: DO NOT SKIP ON THE CHEESY BREAD. Do not let the simplicity of cheesy bread fool you. It was gooey, flavorful, and addicting! They come with a flavorful marinara dipping sauce too. I also really enjoyed the roasted potato pizza. Savory, rich, and lots of garlic flavor with the perfect crust. I also enjoyed the garlic knots and Hawaiian BBQ, but the cheesy bread and potato pizza were by far the best. Ordered via DoorDash for pickup. This pizza place is in the Fido's Tap House restaurant, which is cool since they have a room with dogs to pet while you wait. The order consisted of 12" pies: Hawaiian BBQ Chicken, Roasted Potato, Cheesy Bread. I also added a side of garlic knots because why not? To my surprise, the roasted potato pizza was my favorite. I liked the soft texture of the roasted potatoes combined with pesto, cheese, bacon bits, and roasted garlic. I'm a fan of garlic and this pizza was very delicious. The hawaiian bbq chicken was okay since the flavors were a bit bland. The cheese was coagulated and the toppings of canadian bacon, pineapple, and red onion wow me. If the sauce was alfredo instead of marinara, it would've added more flavor. The cheesy bread and garlic knots were absolutely delicious, especially when dipped in the garlic oil. Kevin,thank you for your response. I don't mind oregano used in moderation, but I would note its a fiction of American creation that oregano is common in italian cuisine. Its used sparingly in Sicily and almost not at all from Rome north. Authentic marinara sauce does not have oregano. But even moving past the question of whether that is a marinara sauce at all, the amount of oregano in your sauce would be too much if it was my favorite herb. read more

Ive never tried this before. I just couldn't get past the dog thing but I finally got to try it. The wife was excited about the veggie options as toppings. We got a pizza with veggie sausage. I love the uniformity of the crust. I Also love how despite being large, it holds its shape and wasn't soggy or floppy. We got the chili sauce on it. I don't recommend that. It's got a really weird taste combo. But all the individual pieces were great. Flavorful garlic knots. I like that the marinara has some good flavor is isn't just junk from a can. The Apple pizza was pretty good. I think the crust could be more interesting. Either sweeter or more buttery but overall it's successful. I'll definitely try again. read more

Had heard of 48 North's vegan pizza options (there are many) and stopped to give it a try for my vegan son. Got half vegan South of the Border and half vegan Hotwing pizza and he loved them both! Especially dipped in vegan ranch yumm! I tried a bite of each and preferred the hot wing as I'm not a big chorizo fan. Definitely wouldn't have known it was soy curls over chicken. They were delish! My other son loved the cheese (he's not a big pizza lover and ate half an 18" pizza...so yeah, he loved it). I tried the Alfredo chicken pizza which was tasty! Vegan family visiting Portland for the night. Ordered vegan pizza, wings and cheesy bread and accidentally ordered regular cheesy bread instead of vegan and they sent us the vegan one anyway. A++++ for recognizing the error. But the food. OMG. Probably the BEST pizza we've had, hands down. Can't recommend this place enough. Well let me start by saying this: I'm a vegan and I found 48 North via Eater PDX with the top ten pizzerias in PDX. Being that it made the top 10 there is no reason not to give it a try. I was really surprised by the negative reviews but as another reviewer mentioned, try to base it on people who actually post photos and have more than 5-10 Yelp reviews total. I fell in LOVE with the idea of a pizzeria and tap house that no only has one of the top 10 pizzas in Portland but also has its main goal to help adopt out dogs!!!! YES!! Y'all yes! I'm 100% about animal rescue and adoption. I cannot WAIT to visit after COVID when y'all can have dogs available again. Okay now let me start by saying this. I didn't realize until a few years ago that my pizza standards are super high. I have a very particular type of pizza that's my favorite and most places miss the mark. As far as pizza I would definitely order differently next time since I've tried it once. My kids got a 12" Vegan Pepperoni, we got an 18" Vegan Buffalo pizza and my mom got a 12" 1/2 Pepperoni (which means you basically get 1/2 the toppings on that 12" pizza...I thought you got a 1/2 pizza DOH!) anywho. So I thought the crust was nice. Not too thick, not crispy enough for my personal taste. But holy moly the garlic on the crust YES please. I have a garlic thing so it hit me in all the feels. I definitely prefer a less doughy crust but it was nice but it was TOPS with that garlic. If it had been crispy it may have knocked my socks off. The pizza itself was okay. For me, I like a PUNCH of Buffalo like a lot y'all. This was really light. But in my opinion, the cheese was the least favorite part for me. It was WAY to heavy. I'd almost say cut it in half. I don't like gooey cheese anymore since going vegan so I'd order with light or half the amount next time. But the toppings could have been doubled. It felt kind of naked besides the cheese. My kids gave it two thumbs up and loved it. My daughter, who is a far less "meat" focused vegan preferred it without the pepperoni and my son wanted all the "'meats." My mom said the pizza was "very good," which from her is HIGH marks. She likes NY slice style, which we both felt this was like. She is a New Yorker though originally (from her childhood,) but she loves that pizza style. We also ordered the vegan wings, Buffalo flavor. And man they were barely seasoned. I LOVE that style of vegan wing, so I just added LOADS of Frank's Original on and boom we were good. But next time I'd ask for way more. Now finally, we ordered online, on the way home from Mt. Hood after a day of sledding. We got there at our order time, and the food was ready. We love about 15-20 minutes from this location so we just warmed our oven and heated our pizza a bit when we got in. I had an issue ordering the wings online and had to call. Brittany was so sweet and super helpful. When we got there to pick up both my kids were dying for the restroom and she was at the front and said absolutely go use it then come check out. She was so sweet and we talked for a minute about the setup when they have dogs and just a few other things. But she was SO welcoming and kind to me and my son (my daughter ended up not coming in.) We will definitely be back because the pizza was a 3-3.5 for me but I'll give it another shot for a few reasons 1-it's vegan and close by, 2-they rescue dogs, 3-the customer service was great and 4-this just seems like it's run by great and caring people and we need to help local businesses out. The food has always been great, and the speed in which its made and delivered I suppose is a partial on the restaurant and the delivery service itself I'd suppose. We were excited to try yet another new to us pizza spot. Long and short: toppings are good, cheese is good, but the crust needs work. It's a very thin crust pie, but it's cooked on a conveyor belt, not a wood fired pizza oven, so it's not crisp. After a minute or so, it soaks up enough grease that it just has no structure and so it becomes a real challenge to eat. This crust should be baked in a real pizza oven. Short of that, they should reformulate the crust so it comes out nice and crispy, like Round Table does on their conveyor belt pies. Kinda spendy as well... not sure we'll be back but it was a good try. read more

It was like what cartoon pizza looks like. Stretchy and messy. The dough is way too thin and burnt. The flavor was seriously lacking but was still decently okay. The vegan Buffalo wings were dry and over cooked. Chewy thick outside texture that was hard to eat :( I only ate one. The vegan garlic knots were probably the best but still lacked flavor and you had to redip in the garlic oil. Marinara dip really helped for flavor! All in all, wouldn't return sadly. read more

It was a) Late -- almost 30 min past the time quoted -- and b) Cold when it got here, and I think it *wasn't* the driver's fault bc I could track the delivery online. 2. Crust too thick, although that could just be my taste -- some people like thick pizza crust, although if the pizza had been hot, I wouldn't have noticed it so much. 3. Ok, this is what *really* bugged me -- and I've never put photos with reviews, but I'll put one here to show that: THE SLICES ARE NOT CUT THROUGH! SO ANNOYING! I am not in a kitchen bc I had to leave with the pizza when it got here, and I assumed it would be cut into slices (is that so much to ask?) but nope, I've had to tear off CHUNKS of pizza, with the toppings falling off everywhere and my hands completely covered with grease, because NOT ONE OF these slices was cut all the way through, some of them were only cut about an inch from the outside edge and then I had to pull and rip and tear it the rest of the way into some kind of weird-shaped, two-inch pizza bite. I really want to like their food as they're the only vegan pizza in my area, but I've gone twice and they were both not good. The crust is extremely thin, which is fine depending on how much sauce is used, but this place piled sauce/cheese/toppings on so the crust gets soggy extremely quickly. The flavors are also just strange and meh. The chicken soy curls were dry and flavorless, the bbq sauce on a "sweet Hawaiian pizza" was spicy, and they use too much vegan cheese, which clumps together and then falls right off the pizza. The second star is just because they're super nice. All in all, it's worth it to go to Rudy's on Powell, Virtuous Pie on Division or some other vegan pizza place on the east side rather than coming here. read more

Best Gluten "friendly" Pizza crust ever! No this is not an understatement - see picture. If you are tired of everyone else's cauliflower pizza crust try this crust. The regular pizza was ok, but nothing exceptional. Warning - this is part of Fido's so when you pull up do not be surprised. Also there is a one drink minimum for everyone eating - or $1.50 for water. There are plenty of soda options for those wanting something other than beer. Husband ordered a large Supreme pizza, one large cured meat pizza, garlic knots, and cinnamon sticks. The Supreme had no pepperoni no Italian sausage. No meat. The cured meat was threatened with a few shavings of prosciutto no salami. WTH? I double checked after 2 slices were eaten, no meat found. Honestly I don't know what the Supreme without meat is like but the CURED MEATS pizza without meat is worse than a cheese pizza. It's thin, has barely any cheese and the sauce does not support flavor. Now when there's actually meat It's super flavorful. The garlic knots were good. I rather have the cheese bread. For some reason the cinnamon sticks were not what I expected. They were chewy but definitely had a pull to them. I ate 1 and more than enough for me. I didn't crave more very disappointed dinner. Oh my gosh... we went to a movie and needed a place to eat afterward that offered vegan items so we chose this place since it's open later. We are SO glad we did! We ordered vegan garlic knots and bbq vegan chicken wings to start. We ordered way too many chicken wings but they were amazing. The garlic knots were so delicious. Then our Greek vegan pizza arrived and the vegan lasagna calzone. We couldn't believe how huge the portions were. The pizza was one of the best vegan pizzas I've ever had. The calzone was my kids favorite! Then dessert arrived. We ordered the vegan apple crisp which is on pizza dough and enough to feed 4-5. We also ordered the cinnamon twists. I love 48 North Pizza! It has a unique flavor that makes it stand out among other pizza places. The sauce tastes homemade and the dough has a nice foldable crust consistency. They have really great vegan pizzas in addition to their traditional pizzas. I really enjoyed both the Vegan and the traditional pizza options. So far my favorite pizza choices here are the Spicy Honey Italian pizza and the Cured Meats pizza. The prosciutto and red peppers are very fresh and bring a lot of great flavor to this pizza. I also would recommend their Spicy Honey chicken wings. I've love both their vegan and traditional style wings, both are amazing. The owner, management and staff here are very friendly.
