I had been recommended to go to Dr. Nick by a friend and after researching him online, I finally made an appointment. He is one of a kind dentist and ahead of his time with his knowledge and technique. It is awesome we have such a dentist in this area! The office is really nice and everyone who works there that I have encountered is so friendly and helpful. The woman at the front desk is so warm and friendly. The dental hygienist I had clean my teeth was very friendly and funny. Dr. Nick knows what he is doing and is very honest with you - which I greatly appreciate. I highly recommend them!

I wasn't feeling particularly anxious, but I was told it was free, so I agreed. I was quickly given paperwork to sign, which I did willingly, though I should have taken more time to read it. What was not explained to me verbally was that this involved an injection in my neck. When I realized that, I froze but went along with it. After the injection, I was told the doctor is writing a paper on this procedure and was then asked whether it helped my anxiety, which immediately made me uncomfortable and made me feel like a test subject rather than a patient. Later, when reviewing the consent, I saw listed risks such as temporary phrenic nerve blockage and infection, risks that were never clearly explained beforehand. Instead, it was described very casually as "feeling like having a mimosa." When I called with concerns, the staff were kind and understanding, but I was told I would know if something went wrong because I'd have extreme difficulty breathing. I wish that risk had been communicated before the procedure, not AFTER. The staff were friendly overall and there were no complications, but the lack of transparency and how casually this was presented felt unethical to me as a patient. While I did sign the paperwork and take responsibility for that, clearer verbal communication and informed consent would have made a huge difference.

My friend went to their offices recently and were in pain and distress. instead of being a…read moreprofessional, when my friend gestured for aid, they attempted to throw him out of their practice with a partially finished procedure. My friend had to beg for them to finish, to only be thrown out afterwards, unable to use the location for vehicle pickup. He is legally blind and must have others provide a ride. Because of this he had to walk down a busy freeway to find a suitable location to arrange pickup. Given this is their second location, and the prior had 7 one star reviews out of their 16 before closing, its apparent this is a pattern. Reading other reviews, it shows they have had other individuals with disabilities and issues with poor pain management. DO NOT GO HERE.

So when we moved to NW Arkansas, I did just that. One of only a couple of highly recommended dentists was Dr. K. During our first visit, I was blown away with his thoroughness. He then talked about his philosophy of dental care. Really pleased! Then I had the corner of a tooth break off. He got me in, evaluated the situation, then made a 3/4 crown (I think). He and his assistant were very careful to match the color. I highly recommend Dr. K!

I was really impressed with his kindness, knowledge, and thoroughness. There is one tell-tale sign of a great dentist: all his staff - from reception to dental assistants - are treated as valued colleagues and not just as the ​hired help. For technical reasons, my stay plate was difficult to fit. Dr. Kolokithas spent lots of time and effort to get it perfect for my requirements. I have not been to such an attentive dentist in years. Needless to say, I switched to Dr. Kolokithas two months ago and have had several appointments since. I am very happy with that decision.

Most everyone else there is great too (dental assistants, hygienists etc) In general, they go to some length to ensure your comfort. They have TV's with headphones attached if you want to watch something while they work, Or (what I prefer) you can plug your phone into their headphones and listen to your own music. They also give you giant sunglasses to keep the light from blinding you! They're probably a tetch higher regarding $$ compared to some places, but to me, it's worth it.

I went for a routine cleaning and after my X-rays I waited 52 minutes in the chair with no word from anyone as to what was happening. The dentist came in and looked at a single tooth and determined I needed a deep cleaning procedure on the one tooth he looked at and therefore would need to come back for my cleaning. I received an estimate for the one tooth and was escorted out. I was skeptical as I have never had any issues with my teeth, I get cleanings every 6 months and if he had seen this issue wouldn't he have checked the rest of my mouth to see if any other teeth needed this procedure? I really got the impression that the office was running very behind and just needed to relieve the pressure from the schedule. I went to another dentist a few weeks later who did a cleaning. The hygienist and the dentist both indicated there were no issues whatsoever with my teeth and in fact, I had very little plaque throughout my mouth

I appreciate their flexibility and quick service. I never feel like a number, but a true patient that is not rushed to get to the next appointment. I'm glad that I've found this gem in NWA.
