He then talked about his philosophy of dental care. Really pleased! Then I had the corner of a tooth break off. He got me in, evaluated the situation, then made a 3/4 crown (I think). There is one tell-tale sign of a great dentist: all his staff - from reception to dental assistants - are treated as valued colleagues and not just as the ​hired help. For technical reasons, my stay plate was difficult to fit. Dr. Kolokithas spent lots of time and effort to get it perfect for my requirements. I have not been to such an attentive dentist in years. Needless to say, I switched to Dr. Kolokithas two months ago and have had several appointments since. I am very happy with that decision.

Most everyone else there is great too (dental assistants, hygienists etc) In general, they go to some length to ensure your comfort. They have TV's with headphones attached if you want to watch something while they work, Or (what I prefer) you can plug your phone into their headphones and listen to your own music. They also give you giant sunglasses to keep the light from blinding you! They're probably a tetch higher regarding $$ compared to some places, but to me, it's worth it.

They are the ones that told me I over paid and would have to get Aspen to pay me back. I used 2 ways to pay. I had to finance a portion with Care credit. It was 8 months of dealing with Aspen getting a receipt that FSA would take. Then it hit me. They owed me 1100 and then it was 3 weeks of trying to get my money back. Finally Aspen sent the money to care credit and not the flex spending card. When I asked why they didn't tell me I had a large overpayment they said they thought I would just let the money stay in their account until I had more dental work done. Could not believe how shitty I was treated. On top of it the care credit was paid off so I had to wait another 7 days for The money back. They owe me interest! NEVER GO THERE. THEY KEEP YOU MONEY WHEN ITS NOT THEIRS!

I went for a routine cleaning and after my X-rays I waited 52 minutes in the chair with no word from anyone as to what was happening. The dentist came in and looked at a single tooth and determined I needed a deep cleaning procedure on the one tooth he looked at and therefore would need to come back for my cleaning. I received an estimate for the one tooth and was escorted out. I was skeptical as I have never had any issues with my teeth, I get cleanings every 6 months and if he had seen this issue wouldn't he have checked the rest of my mouth to see if any other teeth needed this procedure? I really got the impression that the office was running very behind and just needed to relieve the pressure from the schedule. I went to another dentist a few weeks later who did a cleaning. That left me having to go to the Endo to have them correct it. One time Dr Black was going to do a root canal and a filling to the tooth right next to the infected one. Instead of waiting until I had been on antibotics for a few days he went ahead and did the filling. The infection spread which caused my face to swell and droop. They had me go to the oral surgeon as soon as they seen me to have it removed. Too many mistakes and second chances given. After Janis left, the girls in the front have not been the best. Janis was amazing! One of the girls were so rude to me and judgy I had stopped going for a bit because of how she made me feel. Finally went back and they are now charging me for things that my insurance pays for 100%. When I called to inquire as to why, Rachel was rude and disrespectful. Talking over me/ cutting me off and made it clear I was not happy with how it was going. She did not seem to even care. My husband and I will not be back.
