Country sandwich, mini charcuterie, French onion soup
Kim G.

Yummy lunch we had! The bread, cheese, and pate were particularly good. I recommend getting the country sandwich! Only thing is I wished the salad had some toppings, and the dining area was a little dirty (tables and all the cups had greasy fingerprints).

Dining room upstairs. Great music!

Super nice lady taking orders. Great recommendations. From scratch food made with fantastic cheese. Highly recommended if you want quality food in a nice atmosphere.

Burrata

Yum! What a find. I had the burrata sandwich with salad greens. The bread was crusty and had pesto on it. The burrata had roasted fresh tomatoes and a balsamic glaze. It was amazing. My husband had the turkey with Brie and enjoyed it as well. So much so I didn't get to get a pic before it was gone. We got the grilled cheese for my son and we both stole a bite. It was done in a panini press and also very good. Crusty and cheesy.

Such a great addition to Main Street! Owners are fantastic and Julia made us a gorggggg board for the Super Bowl. We've gone back several times since for the cheddar and can't wait to see what they do next!

Very cute inside with lots of little stuff to buy at the counter. Beautiful improvised charcuterie board made by the owner herself! Don't know much about cheese myself so I let her take the lead and it turned out delicious!

The food was amazing! We were just in town for a wedding. Wish we lived closer to visit again.

All of their artisan cheeses are fantastic and their blue cheese is the best I've ever tasted.

I'm going to hit you with some cold hard math. Blankety blank percent of the time I'm in a nice…read morerestaurant, and they offer a cheese or charc board with CT cheese, that CT Cheese is from Cato Corner. Seriously. Blankety blank percent. That has to say something! I've had Cato Corner cheese in restaurants. I've bought it at farm stands and markets. But I've never had the pleasure of buying it at their Colchester farm. The small shop at the farm has all their cheese and some other items such as (1) CT Maple Syrup, (2) a CT made Manchego Bread that was fresh and satisfying, (3) cute little savory and sweet cracker-cookie hybrids that were a nice counterpoint to the good salty cheeses, (4) various meats in a cooler, and (5) dog treats that my dog, Pasta, loved. It's not the biggest CT produce season right now. Perhaps they have in season produce in the summer as well, but I couldn't say. I bought the Womanchego and Bloomsday cheeses. One would imagine that Womanchego is basically Manchego with a Wo added to the front to be fun. If I tried this cheese without knowing the name. I'm not sure I would have thought it was a Manchego, but it was good. It's a pale yellow, semi-hard and mild cheese, and it has small holes throughout. It was a bit earthy. Buttery. Creamy. Not really sharp. It was a good eating cheese. The Bloomsday looked similar, but it was sharper and seemed saltier in a good way. I'd be more likely to buy the Bloomsday again. In any event, they had probably over 10 cheese varieties in a number of different styles. I'm not sure if they offer cheese samples since nobody seemed to ask for samples while I was there, and I was in a hurry since my son was with me. I'm giving Cato Corner 4.5 Stars, which is partly based upon the fact that it's fun to buy directly from a farm at the farm, and upon the friendly service. You could see cows inside a structure. Wrong or right, that makes me think the milk and cream they use for the cheese is super fresh. Seems like a good bet. Maybe it doesn't matter that much since cheese is aged, but a lot of scoring businesses is how you feel about the presentation of the product. Cato Corner, with its CT farm and cool branding, makes me feel good. So 4.5 Stars.

Five enthusiastic stars! Eve & Murray's in Acton is hands-down the best hidden gem for sandwiches,…read morecheese, wine, and gifts. If you're looking for upscale boutique sandwiches, curated charcuterie boards, and a cozy atmosphere with owners who truly care, this is the place to go. My family and I discovered them a couple of years ago, tucked under the West Acton Village building, and they've quickly become our favorite sandwich shop and gourmet cheese market. My son, who is in college always makes a point to get their sandwiches when he is back home. Their sandwiches are upscale, boutique creations. Our family favorite is the Ploughman's Lunch: rosemary ham, mango chutney, pickled red onion, cheddar, and lemony arugula on a Portuguese roll. It's the perfect balance of savory, tangy, and fresh. Our second go-to is the Pig and Fig, which is just as delicious. They also have gluten free bread available. In addition to the sandwiches, their cozy shop sells cheeses (if you love blue cheese you have got to try Rogue River!!), charcuterie, natural wines, craft beer, and carefully curated accompaniments like jams and chutneys. I've gifted their chic napkins and artisanal jams many times, and they always make the perfect host or hostess gift. They even carry unique finds like Bret's goat cheese and chili pepper potato chips, which I can't find anywhere else! On Fridays, they even have free wine tastings, which are such a fun way to discover new bottles. The owners Dawn and Tamara (aka Eve and Murray) are incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do. You can tell they put thought into every cheese, wine, and gift item they bring into the shop!

There's fancy wine, cheese, snacks, interesting ceramic items, wooden spoons and serving plates , toys, etc. After looking around and selecting a few items (some honey, a dark chocolate espresso bar, and 2 small toys for my grandsons) ordered a couple of sandwiches on some fresh baked rolls, Watched the lady make them and then paid $60. Yes it's expensive, but I think it's worth it.
