Dr. Rohdy may be a fine dentist, he seemed knowledgeable, but I wouldn't consider letting him work on my teeth after having to deal with his office policies, misleading website, condescending manner and the rather brusque and rough hygienist. I contacted his office on Tuesday July 7th , I had lost a crown on a molar the Friday beforehand and my dentist was out of town. His receptionist made an appointment for the next week, stating that they were "full up." I booked the appointment, but kept trying to get in elsewhere. I did finally get into an emergency dentist and have the crown replaced prior to this appointment, but I kept the appointment because my dentist wasn't close and was difficult to get in to see on my schedule. I arrived at the office, it's a normal small dental office, was greeted and checked in by the friendly receptionist. (On a side note, I tried to use the guest WiFi, but it did not work.). I was shortly taken back to a room by the hygienist. I was rather taken aback that she thought I was there for a cleaning! If I had not had that tooth fixed, it would have been uncrowned and I would have been in pain unable to eat or drink anything but tepid water for 12 days. ( a fact that I did explain to the receptionist when I made the appointment, in the hopes that I could get in earlier) 12 days! And they thought I would be happy with a teeth cleaning and exam and to come back another time to get that crown fixed. Thank god for an emergency dentist in Federal Way. I go ahead with the cleaning and exam, because 1. I'm there, 2. I've already had to take time off of work and 3. I do need a new dentist. She takes x rays. Then she proceeds to manually scrape at my teeth. She was not gentle, nor was this pleasant. (I haven't had a manual dental cleaning in over 20 years, every dental office I have been to has the "sonic/water jet" device that they remove tarter with). This torture is finally over, and I meet Dr. Rohdy. He gives me his assessment, and it's not great, several crowns need to be replaced, at least one filling needs to be replaced with a crown and a couple of small fillings need to be taken care of. (I was a bit taken aback, it was only 8 months since my last cleaning and exam and my dentist hadn't said anything about replacing crowns or fillings) As I am speaking with Dr. Rohdy, a mention that if I proceeded I would want to take care of as much as possible in one visit. I fear dental treatment, like many people, and require Oral Sedation with Halcyon. He then said he didn't provide sedation. I was very puzzled, as it's listed on his website. He said that the site didn't say he performed sedation dentistry, just that sedation dentistry is an option for people, that he was "just giving people information". I thank him for his time, tell him I will look for treatment elsewhere and leave. I then go back and check his website. How could I have confused basic information with a service being offered? In my opinion, because his website is set up to make you believe that sedation dentistry IS a service he provides. Go to his site, click procedures, and behold sedation dentistry is listed. Click on "sedation dentistry " and read all about your options for sedation. Read the entire page. See the nice little statement at the end? "To see what options are available for your visit, or if you have questions or concerns about sedation dentistry, please contact our Auburn dental office today!" That more than infers that Dr. Rodhy provides sedation dentistry. Am I mad? No. Irritated? Yes. Dr. Rohdy wasted my time (had I still been in pain the entire time I would indeed be mad), he wasted my insurance benefits on a trip to his office when I can't have another cleaning or exam for 6 months, making it hard to find and "interview" a new dentist. He tried to make me feel ignorant because I was somehow confused by his website. His hygienist took out her aggression on my teeth and gums. But the worse thing is...this "top dentist" appears to be willfully misleading potential patients. The question is..to what end? Is he a good dentist? I honestly don't know. Even though Down to Earth Dental does not accept my insurance either, I chose to go with them based off of their many five star reviews about patient care. The second I walked into their office, I was greeted by the sweetest lady at the front desk, Karen. She greeted me with a compliment and the warmest smile. She was answering customer calls & coworker questions, but still made sure that I was taken care of. The team was spectacular as well! The doctor & assistant walked me through everything they were doing and were EXTREMELY gentle with the tools their were using. A painless experience is everything a first time patient hopes for. I recommend this place to any & everyone looking for a GREAT dental experience. They truly are Down to Earth Dental.

I have been a loyal patient of Light Dental Studios for over a 15 years, my entire family has been…read more I went in for a Dental Checkup & cleaning in August of 2025, where it was determined that I had a cavity on my tooth behind my canine on my left side. We scheduled an appt for a month out and I went in on Sept 17th of 2025 for that cavity filling. I saw a new dentist I hadn't met before, Dr. Benoit. She got right to work and tried to fit me in vain with a clamp on said tooth for the filling. She had to try 5 times and with some force to get the clamp on. She finally did and got to work on the filling. When she was finished, she took the clamp off and my crown that was on the tooth behind it came with it. I was in shock as she held up my tooth in front of me and told me with a very laissez-faire approach that not only was I now missing a tooth but that it broke off at the gumline and I would now need an implant. I was in deep shock and didn't know what to do. Not one mention of my crown needing to be replaced, cracked or otherwise. Not at my appt for my cleaning and not prior to forcing the clamp on to the tooth beside it. What happened next was I worked with their Executive Admin, Katie Hogan on a plan to repair said tooth. Their plan was to use up every bit of my insurance and give me about a 20% discount off their services to get said implant in place. Until my insurance changed due to my husband's sudden job loss. We switched it out pretty quickly however they didn't wait til I had the new insurance in place before letting me know I would be paying a heftier price tag that I had originally thought. I paid $1895.00 for a removal of my tooth, bone graft, an implant placement on Dec 12th of 2025. They did the removal and the bone graft. I reached out to their office and asked about a refund for the one line item they had not completed which was the implant placement. My out of pocket to them for the service was $367.20 and I paid it/ They sent me a check for $321.10. They said it was for a billing code change since they did not do the implant placement at the time of bone graft. Fully understandable, however now here is where it gets interesting. I checked with my insurance carrier and they have no such claim yet this dentist office said this claim had already been processed and paid?? The only claim they have for that date of service was the removal of my tooth. That was it. I have asked for an explanation of benefits but so far no dice. My next step is to file a complaint with the DQAC, which is the Dental Quality Insurance Commission. I would NEVER EVER trust this dental practice to work on my teeth ever again and I definitely feel that Dr Benoit should find herself a new career because she's got terrible bedside manner and an inability to handle tough situations when they arise. Katie Hogan, although pleasant to speak with....focused more on what she believes is fair treatment even telling me she is "moved" by the level of discounting provided to me which as I stated was about 20% maybe even less than that when you consider my insurance paid for the majority and well so did I. Why would they make a claim that my insurance paid and processed a payment when they haven't?? How this has affected me you may be asking yourself....well, it's cost me a ton of time, frustration and money....but that is beside the point. I don't fully smile anymore, to do so would show my entire upper row of teeth, where said tooth is missing. I don't laugh without covering my mouth, I am mortified of pics of me taken from "that side" even in close situations with family and worse when I am at a public speaking event which is often, in fact it's my entire job. So I'd ask you, after reading about my experience....would you want the same?

We were referred based on treatment he recommended but when my son's X-rays came back there was more than we even knew. Laura and the staff were amazing and helped to explain a plan of action to make things as easy as possible for myself and 4 yr old. I'm sad that we weren't able to come here originally, it may have saved us tons in dental work for our 4 year old.

Dr. Clark took time to address the issues with the denture and also provided a letter to present to the dentist that made the denture.
