Can I live here?…read more OMG. The details of this place amazed me. Tongue in groove furniture, the best mattress one can buy, high quality appliances, heavy weight eating utensils, quiet, sound proof walls, great customer service. The difference between a five star hotel and, say, a three star, is in the details. This place certainly reminded me of my infrequent stays in a five star. No corporate, bland, everything in neutral colors here, instead, the decorations were done with skill, professionalism and passion. Great little touches like, not just a pull out couch, but a pull out ottoman. (don't try and move that thing, it is heavy!) Cute, but not overly cutesy, rustic outdoor themed touches. Clean, clean, clean. Two giganto TVs. Plenty of pillows and extra bedding. Open the cabinets and you will find a useful slew of small kitchen appliances and an outdoor lantern. And there are a couple of super nice grills for your use! This really feels more like some wealthy family's In-law apartment instead of a hotel. The only little issue, and it is small, is that a big truck will have a hard time fitting into the small parking lot and small spaces. We had a handicap placard but there were no handicap spaces near our apartment. First world problem. And here is a hint. If you want to get to the cute little grocery store across the street, there is an alleyway that goes through the Super 8 parking lot. We went on the off-season and paid a fraction of what the place is worth. Go us. However, when the prices rise to summer prices, I promise that you will still get your money's worth at this place.

Our trip to Montana was amazing, and the first evening started with stay here. Ms Nance and Richard are such warm hosts. At breakfast they are a fountain of information about Gardiner and the Park. Breakfast was a wide array of delicious choices, and Ms Nance is quick to adapt to your tastes if you stayed multiple nights. But Pro-Tip, tell her ahead of time if you have a particular want. We had a private room with a bathroom. It was very comfortable and warm. Especially considering it was below zero at the time. They also leave out tea and snacks downstairs, so We enjoyed a cup of hot tea as we warmed up from our walk. Location! This wonderful home couldn't be closer to the park entrance. As well, they are walking distance to the local restaurants. It was the start of winter so I didn't get a chance to take advantage of fly fishing, but Richard owns Parks Fly Shop, just around the corner. Book a stay here! You will love it!

Again, the people at the desk were very polite . The problem that I have with this place is there parking issue. They need to make it an understanding to everybody that checking in and limit how long the vehicles are since their parking is arranged in a specific way. Two times we had people in trucks that were extremely long commercial trucks at least two of the spaces. They blocked my space twice two different vehicles. Although they remedy the situation, I was also upset because they allowed an RV to park and stay inside the RV in the handicap spot which I could've parked in as a paying person there. The streets around the hotel have areas which are not even lit at all and they have a higher than normal vehicle theft issue in this area. The room was clean and nice and the air conditioner worked well The other issue that I strongly suggest they change is the way that they handle animals. Specifically ADA service animals. I watched somebody come in and present a certified service animal or service dog card. First off, there is absolutely no organization in the United States that issues and certified cards for service animals. There is no agency that certified them. But the real issue was that after the person presented their dog as a service dog, they gave them a pet policy to read and sign. As per ADA law, a service dog is not classified as a pet and this should've never been done. I understand that there are some people out there that don't actually have a service dog and they just wanna take their pet along, but that's hard to weed through. I have my own service dog and she is actually a real service dog. We did not have to do that pet policy but then again they never asked. That's because of anybody ever asked me if I have a pet. The answer is always no because of service dog is not defined as a pet under law. Suggestion to manager: Specify a maximum vehicle length and the vehicle should be parked a certain way and not blocking the other spaces when the person checks in. Also specify this on any of the websites. Train the staff on how to deal with service animals appropriately. Do not have people that have service dogs or animals sign a pet policy. That can cause legal issues. Instead, you may always ask those two questions to ensure that it is a service animal. Is your dog a service Animal as for a qualified disability? What task are your dog trained to perform to support that disability? Please ensure that these are the proper two questions.

The tipis were every bit as wonderful as depicted and the private bathrooms just incredible! Sure, they were shared but ratio of bathrooms to tipis very manageable. And the staff literally went in to clean and sanitize every hour -- I always felt that I was entering a freshly cleaned luxurious bathroom suite. This review has to be long winded because there are so many wonderful things you should know about Dreamcatcher! We visited the third week of May and the nights were very cold but the beds with electric blankets and the modern space heaters kept everything cozy and inviting. As someone who has to make trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night now, I was grateful that my request to have a tipi fairly close to bathrooms was cheerfully accommodated, and I really appreciated the heated bathrooms with heated floors. I think even in summer guests will appreciate a warm bathroom at night. Every single member of the staff, and I interacted with at least 4 different folks, were engaged, friendly, and welcoming. It's easy to tell when employees are happy and in a company that is run well because it reflects on interactions with guests. The excellent morning coffee/breakfast station and nightly campfire were awesome!!! The only things I would suggest to the company is (1) add some bathrooms that are toilet stalls only so if it's crowded and you just need to pee you can get right in and (2) add an outdoor kitchen sink with a clear sign that folks using a barbecue grill, kitchen utensils and such DO NOT USE THE BATHROOM to clean these items. I stumbled upon a guy in one of these beautiful bathroom suites using the sink to clean a dirty grill (yuck) and saw his friend coming over with his grill ready to jump in there as well. For those of us who are strict vegetarian for cultural reasons, it is taboo to come in contact with things that have held meat. Thankfully the staff kept the bathroom clean though.

Due to my second parent dying this year, I did not respond immediately give them the one night. The owner counted down the days and said the following "Crista, This is Jeannette Mikos (owner) of the Yellowstone Basin Inn. We have allowed for 13 days to receive your payment by check by mail. No payment has been received. If we do not receive payment for the 1 night stay of $351 by 8/1/2025, we will have to pursue with the local District Justice for the full 3 nights of stay, $1,053. Please contact us with payment of the $351. Thank you." I informed her my mother had died 2.5 months after my dad and that paying her wasn't at the top of my list. No response. Yellowstone is the number 1 international destination. If a business won't accommodate a change and will chase you for one nights stay, it's because they are not making a lot of money.
