This is such a great place to stay when visiting Yellowstone or just to take a break, we have been here 3 days and it is so comfortable and peaceful, large rooms, great amenities, bathroom, microwave refrigerator and coffee maker, porch overlooking the mountain range, the Elk are plenty, if I could rate it a 10 I would, I've travelled the world, and this place is just wonderful. The Breakfast room is special, great breakfasts, the owners are great very helpful, close to towns, Livingston, Bozeman , in the entrance to Yellowstone loops 10 minutes away

This Inn is beautiful and 8mi from Gardiner which is perfect if you want to be a little secluded from the crowd and enjoy the nature. The views from here are gorgeous. The inn itself have about 25 rooms which makes it homey and personal. The Hosts are really nice too. The rooms are cozy, have all the amenities (bring your toothpaste, and water if you want it filtered). Rooms have a microwave, coffee, refrigerator, towels, toiletries, hairdryer, wifi, and a phone. The room was clean and well kept. I'll definitely visit again, great for solo travelers.

If you want the entire 5 star Yellowstone experience stay here. The town, view, cabin and hospitality is excellent.

Overall, decent stay. Neighbors below were a little noisy, besides that, nice quiet area. The place is 5 minutes outside of town, nice scenery and possible of seeing wildlife all around. Very clean and neat, I would definitely stay again if I ever come back to Gardiner.

We stayed for three nights at Yellowstone Basin Inn. Janette and Danny were very friendly and great hosts. The pancakes Janette made were so yummy. My daughter loved the rocking chair in the room. The trail course Danny recommended had a great view I won't forget. (Please try!) When we came back home, we realized that my daughter left her favorite stuffed animal in the room. She was very sad. A few days later we received a surprise from Janette and Danny. They mailed my daughter's stuffed animal, even we didn't ask! My daughter wrote a thank-you card for them. (Thank you so much! It meant a lot to my daughter and me.) During Winter, you can also see pronghorn deer near the inn as well. We were lucky to see hornfight of them next to the parking lot.

Our trip to Montana was amazing, and the first evening started with stay here. Ms Nance and Richard are such warm hosts. At breakfast they are a fountain of information about Gardiner and the Park. Breakfast was a wide array of delicious choices, and Ms Nance is quick to adapt to your tastes if you stayed multiple nights. But Pro-Tip, tell her ahead of time if you have a particular want. We had a private room with a bathroom. It was very comfortable and warm. Especially considering it was below zero at the time. They also leave out tea and snacks downstairs, so We enjoyed a cup of hot tea as we warmed up from our walk. Location! This wonderful home couldn't be closer to the park entrance. As well, they are walking distance to the local restaurants. It was the start of winter so I didn't get a chance to take advantage of fly fishing, but Richard owns Parks Fly Shop, just around the corner. Book a stay here! You will love it!

I stayed in the recently renovated building that the owner says was finished roughly a month ago…read more You can tell. It still smells like paint and lacquer. Rooms are decently well equipped. Satellite TV, stainless minifridge and modern kitchenette. Two relatively large beds (fulls, I think) with decent enough bedding. The mattresses are too soft and provide no support though, and the frames don't grip the floor very well. If you hop on the bed, the beds slide and I don't even weigh that much. Whoever did the remodel did an okay job. You know those types of coat hangers where you have to install a fixed ring onto a rod? They fixed the rod in place before installing the rings, so our room (#7) didn't have usable coat hangers. Breakfast isn't bad. Essentially continental (prepacked oatmeal, milk, Belgian waffles, yogurt, etc.) but with some bacon and scrambled eggs too. Bacon was pretty good, eggs have gotten better since the previous photo posted by J S. The owner is nice enough, though some of the night-shift employees are a bit... off, in terms of customer courtesy. "How's it going everyone?" I said to the three or so people in the room when we rolled up in the evening after our long day in Yellowstone. "Can I help you?" along with some snippy remark about me dropping the cup I was trying to throw away, is not a valid response to that question. Overall, for less than $200 a night, could be a lot better, could be worse.

Two days after leaving the Super 8 we began getting fraudulent checks hitting our bank account. After investigation, it was a check id given my wife to deposit in her account which she did while in our room. We suspect that someone entered the room (which we already know for a fact occurred) and they took a screen shot of the check in her purse then put the check back. They altered the check number and added in a fraudulent name. The attempted check fraud went on for about 10 days ranging from $1025 multiple times to 500 multiple times. All in different names. Police report was filed but I urge anyone staying here or anywhere else in Gardiner to please secure personal items in a way not easily accessible. We paid $2000 for 5 nights in a room worth about 60 a night. Then to add insult to injury, one of their staff hosed us. Won't ever stay at this Hotel again. Sad cuz we go every couple years to the park.
