This Inn is beautiful and 8mi from Gardiner which is perfect if you want to be a little secluded from the crowd and enjoy the nature. The views from here are gorgeous. The inn itself have about 25 rooms which makes it homey and personal. The Hosts are really nice too. The rooms are cozy, have all the amenities (bring your toothpaste, and water if you want it filtered). Rooms have a microwave, coffee, refrigerator, towels, toiletries, hairdryer, wifi, and a phone. The room was clean and well kept. I'll definitely visit again, great for solo travelers.

If you want the entire 5 star Yellowstone experience stay here. The town, view, cabin and hospitality is excellent.

Overall, decent stay. Neighbors below were a little noisy, besides that, nice quiet area. The place is 5 minutes outside of town, nice scenery and possible of seeing wildlife all around. Very clean and neat, I would definitely stay again if I ever come back to Gardiner.

We stayed for three nights at Yellowstone Basin Inn. Janette and Danny were very friendly and great hosts. The pancakes Janette made were so yummy. My daughter loved the rocking chair in the room. The trail course Danny recommended had a great view I won't forget. (Please try!) When we came back home, we realized that my daughter left her favorite stuffed animal in the room. She was very sad. A few days later we received a surprise from Janette and Danny. They mailed my daughter's stuffed animal, even we didn't ask! My daughter wrote a thank-you card for them. (Thank you so much! It meant a lot to my daughter and me.) During Winter, you can also see pronghorn deer near the inn as well. We were lucky to see hornfight of them next to the parking lot.

Driving up to the Inn.

This bed and breakfast was the perfect stop for our Yellowstone adventure. We stayed here two nights in the Valley View Room and it had two big windows with views of the valley. The room was well kept and had a Keurig machine (which I loved). Breakfast was made daily from 6-9 and was delicious both mornings. The owners are present daily and full of information/recommendations of places to visit. It's located 5 minutes outside of Gardiner, which is perfect for peace and quiet. I highly recommend this Inn and would come back the next time we visit Yellowstone.

Our trip to Montana was amazing, and the first evening started with stay here. Ms Nance and Richard are such warm hosts. At breakfast they are a fountain of information about Gardiner and the Park. Breakfast was a wide array of delicious choices, and Ms Nance is quick to adapt to your tastes if you stayed multiple nights. But Pro-Tip, tell her ahead of time if you have a particular want. We had a private room with a bathroom. It was very comfortable and warm. Especially considering it was below zero at the time. They also leave out tea and snacks downstairs, so We enjoyed a cup of hot tea as we warmed up from our walk. Location! This wonderful home couldn't be closer to the park entrance. As well, they are walking distance to the local restaurants. It was the start of winter so I didn't get a chance to take advantage of fly fishing, but Richard owns Parks Fly Shop, just around the corner. Book a stay here! You will love it!

The tipis were every bit as wonderful as depicted and the private bathrooms just incredible! Sure, they were shared but ratio of bathrooms to tipis very manageable. And the staff literally went in to clean and sanitize every hour -- I always felt that I was entering a freshly cleaned luxurious bathroom suite. This review has to be long winded because there are so many wonderful things you should know about Dreamcatcher! We visited the third week of May and the nights were very cold but the beds with electric blankets and the modern space heaters kept everything cozy and inviting. As someone who has to make trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night now, I was grateful that my request to have a tipi fairly close to bathrooms was cheerfully accommodated, and I really appreciated the heated bathrooms with heated floors. I think even in summer guests will appreciate a warm bathroom at night. Every single member of the staff, and I interacted with at least 4 different folks, were engaged, friendly, and welcoming. It's easy to tell when employees are happy and in a company that is run well because it reflects on interactions with guests. The excellent morning coffee/breakfast station and nightly campfire were awesome!!! The only things I would suggest to the company is (1) add some bathrooms that are toilet stalls only so if it's crowded and you just need to pee you can get right in and (2) add an outdoor kitchen sink with a clear sign that folks using a barbecue grill, kitchen utensils and such DO NOT USE THE BATHROOM to clean these items. I stumbled upon a guy in one of these beautiful bathroom suites using the sink to clean a dirty grill (yuck) and saw his friend coming over with his grill ready to jump in there as well. For those of us who are strict vegetarian for cultural reasons, it is taboo to come in contact with things that have held meat. Thankfully the staff kept the bathroom clean though.

I stayed in the recently renovated building that the owner says was finished roughly a month ago…read more You can tell. It still smells like paint and lacquer. Rooms are decently well equipped. Satellite TV, stainless minifridge and modern kitchenette. Two relatively large beds (fulls, I think) with decent enough bedding. The mattresses are too soft and provide no support though, and the frames don't grip the floor very well. If you hop on the bed, the beds slide and I don't even weigh that much. Whoever did the remodel did an okay job. You know those types of coat hangers where you have to install a fixed ring onto a rod? They fixed the rod in place before installing the rings, so our room (#7) didn't have usable coat hangers. Breakfast isn't bad. Essentially continental (prepacked oatmeal, milk, Belgian waffles, yogurt, etc.) but with some bacon and scrambled eggs too. Bacon was pretty good, eggs have gotten better since the previous photo posted by J S. The owner is nice enough, though some of the night-shift employees are a bit... off, in terms of customer courtesy. "How's it going everyone?" I said to the three or so people in the room when we rolled up in the evening after our long day in Yellowstone. "Can I help you?" along with some snippy remark about me dropping the cup I was trying to throw away, is not a valid response to that question. Overall, for less than $200 a night, could be a lot better, could be worse.

Everything about this place was great!…read more We came in really hungry and had to wait for a little bit to get seated so we were staring at the bakery case and decided to get an everything cream cheese scone. That was the best tasting scone I've ever had! We started off with the garlic bread and it comes out on a pesto. It was toasted just right and has just a splash of balsamic glaze that added the best balance. Whole cloves of roasted garlic on there too! The chili, I can honestly say beat mine, and I make a damn good chili! Just the right amount of heat and the jalapeño cornbread added just the right texture. Bison strip in bourbon garlic sauce was the best meal I have had in a really long time. The vegetable served with it was perfectly cooked and fresh! Can I live here?…read more OMG. The details of this place amazed me. Tongue in groove furniture, the best mattress one can buy, high quality appliances, heavy weight eating utensils, quiet, sound proof walls, great customer service. The difference between a five star hotel and, say, a three star, is in the details. This place certainly reminded me of my infrequent stays in a five star. No corporate, bland, everything in neutral colors here, instead, the decorations were done with skill, professionalism and passion. Great little touches like, not just a pull out couch, but a pull out ottoman. (don't try and move that thing, it is heavy!) Cute, but not overly cutesy, rustic outdoor themed touches. Clean, clean, clean. Two giganto TVs. Plenty of pillows and extra bedding. Open the cabinets and you will find a useful slew of small kitchen appliances and an outdoor lantern. And there are a couple of super nice grills for your use! This really feels more like some wealthy family's In-law apartment instead of a hotel. The only little issue, and it is small, is that a big truck will have a hard time fitting into the small parking lot and small spaces. We had a handicap placard but there were no handicap spaces near our apartment. First world problem. And here is a hint. If you want to get to the cute little grocery store across the street, there is an alleyway that goes through the Super 8 parking lot. We went on the off-season and paid a fraction of what the place is worth. Go us. However, when the prices rise to summer prices, I promise that you will still get your money's worth at this place.
