This bed & breakfast is the best experience I've ever had in any hotel/motel/inn in my life. I really can't sing enough praise for Nancy and everything she does there (and Richard-I just didn't get the chance to meet him). Her attention to detail is unparalleled and brings so much charm to her home. Beyond that, she's an amazing chef, magnificent host and lovely person in general. After looking for a place to stay near Yellowstone, I found the guest house on Yelp, called right away and decided to book after hearing the super fair off-season rate. In the 24 hours I was there, Nancy quickly became one of my favorite people, she's just so genuine and kind. She treated us like family and was so sweet with my dog. The house is extremely clean, comfortable and well-stocked with delicious tea, bathroom amenities, and live plants!

I found the Gardiner guest house by chance, and I'm thankful I did. I intended to stay in Yellowstone, but with that hotel full, I was left wandering the streets of Gardiner looking for a place to stay the night. I walked into the Gardiner guest house and was greeted warmly by Nancy. The place was built in 1903, so it has a lot of charm. It was priced very reasonably. The room was comfortable and clean and there were lots of amenities offered. Everything from tea and hot chocolate, to books, bathrobes, and Epsom salts to take a bath with. The breakfast was a tasty spread of food. Nancy's husband Richard has lived in Gardiner for decades, so he has useful knowledge regarding traveling in Montana. I will gladly stay here again if I ever make it back to Gardiner.

We stayed only one night and wished we had more time. The beds were clean, the bath was shared, and Nancy was great. We enjoyed playing cards in the main room and when we left for the park very early the next morning they packed us a breakfast of a hard boiled egg, bannana bread, fruit, yougurt, hard cheese, granola and juice. Highly recommended.

Where to begin?? The house is beautiful, well-kept, very tidy & clean and historic. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The breakfast is to die for!!! Absolutely wonderful variety and selection of food and beverage, as well as delicious coffee. The hostess, Nancy, is just phenominal; her cooking, cleaning, details, and wonderful personality are really the icing on this beautiful cake. Don't miss a chance to stay here!

We stopped by Nancy and Richard´s guest house after a few days in the park. We were warmly welcomed, our room was lovely and cosy (we had the suite with a private bathroom), the bed was so comfy. Woke up at the sound of birds... Nancy´s breakfast and Richard´s knowledge about the park were simply awesome! Thank you both for these nice moments. We felt like home and would love to go back. Highly ++++ recommended!

Everything about this place was great!…read more We came in really hungry and had to wait for a little bit to get seated so we were staring at the bakery case and decided to get an everything cream cheese scone. That was the best tasting scone I've ever had! We started off with the garlic bread and it comes out on a pesto. It was toasted just right and has just a splash of balsamic glaze that added the best balance. Whole cloves of roasted garlic on there too! The chili, I can honestly say beat mine, and I make a damn good chili! Just the right amount of heat and the jalapeño cornbread added just the right texture. Bison strip in bourbon garlic sauce was the best meal I have had in a really long time. The vegetable served with it was perfectly cooked and fresh! I highly recommend trying this place you won't be disappointed!

The town itself is quaint, and this felt like a perfect place to grab a bite before heading into the park. We ordered the wild game chili, which was really flavorful and hearty, along with the loaded tots, which were a fun addition to the meal. Overall, a great stop for us and a place I would recommend if you are heading into Yellowstone from this entrance.

Again, the people at the desk were very polite . The problem that I have with this place is there parking issue. They need to make it an understanding to everybody that checking in and limit how long the vehicles are since their parking is arranged in a specific way. Two times we had people in trucks that were extremely long commercial trucks at least two of the spaces. They blocked my space twice two different vehicles. Although they remedy the situation, I was also upset because they allowed an RV to park and stay inside the RV in the handicap spot which I could've parked in as a paying person there. The streets around the hotel have areas which are not even lit at all and they have a higher than normal vehicle theft issue in this area. The room was clean and nice and the air conditioner worked well The other issue that I strongly suggest they change is the way that they handle animals. Specifically ADA service animals. I watched somebody come in and present a certified service animal or service dog card. First off, there is absolutely no organization in the United States that issues and certified cards for service animals. There is no agency that certified them. But the real issue was that after the person presented their dog as a service dog, they gave them a pet policy to read and sign. As per ADA law, a service dog is not classified as a pet and this should've never been done. I understand that there are some people out there that don't actually have a service dog and they just wanna take their pet along, but that's hard to weed through. I have my own service dog and she is actually a real service dog. We did not have to do that pet policy but then again they never asked. That's because of anybody ever asked me if I have a pet. The answer is always no because of service dog is not defined as a pet under law. Suggestion to manager: Specify a maximum vehicle length and the vehicle should be parked a certain way and not blocking the other spaces when the person checks in. Also specify this on any of the websites. Train the staff on how to deal with service animals appropriately. Do not have people that have service dogs or animals sign a pet policy. That can cause legal issues. Instead, you may always ask those two questions to ensure that it is a service animal. Is your dog a service Animal as for a qualified disability? What task are your dog trained to perform to support that disability? Please ensure that these are the proper two questions.

This place was great! Absolutely phenomenal…read more First, the customer service was awesome. We needed a hotel last-minute to recover from stomach illness/food poisoning before we could fly home. The woman at the front desk was so kind when I explained our predicament. She helped me with understanding the policies and finding a room for us to check into early. She even made sure we had a first floor room because my spouse had broken his ankle on the trip. I appreciated her so much, I wanted to hug her - she kind of saved our day! Then, when trying to use the luggage rack to get all of our luggage in, I had trouble, and one of the housecleaning staff just came over and started helping me get it over the threshold of the back door. Throughout our stay, everyone was just wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a tub. The bathroom and room were extremely clean, and I notice when one isn't pristine. The mini fridge was very helpful! (not all rooms have one). We had to hunker down and stay here for two days, and it was a very nice place to be! There is a local grocery store very close by where we could get a few supplies. When we were up to it, the game room was great. We played ping pong by borrowing paddles/ball from the front desk, and we played trivia out of the assortment of board/card games. Some of those games were a bit old/disheveled but still fun. The exercise room was also nice and I used the mats to do my physical therapy exercises. The exercise room and game room were plenty spacious. There was also a free continental breakfast, and a laundry room with two washers, two dryers and a vending machine and ice. Overall, staying here was one of the best things that happened on our trip to Yellowstone. We were awfully glad to find it and would highly highly recommend.

Can I live here?…read more OMG. The details of this place amazed me. Tongue in groove furniture, the best mattress one can buy, high quality appliances, heavy weight eating utensils, quiet, sound proof walls, great customer service. The difference between a five star hotel and, say, a three star, is in the details. This place certainly reminded me of my infrequent stays in a five star. No corporate, bland, everything in neutral colors here, instead, the decorations were done with skill, professionalism and passion. Great little touches like, not just a pull out couch, but a pull out ottoman. (don't try and move that thing, it is heavy!) Cute, but not overly cutesy, rustic outdoor themed touches. Clean, clean, clean. Two giganto TVs. Plenty of pillows and extra bedding. Open the cabinets and you will find a useful slew of small kitchen appliances and an outdoor lantern. And there are a couple of super nice grills for your use! This really feels more like some wealthy family's In-law apartment instead of a hotel. The only little issue, and it is small, is that a big truck will have a hard time fitting into the small parking lot and small spaces. We had a handicap placard but there were no handicap spaces near our apartment. First world problem. And here is a hint. If you want to get to the cute little grocery store across the street, there is an alleyway that goes through the Super 8 parking lot. We went on the off-season and paid a fraction of what the place is worth. Go us. However, when the prices rise to summer prices, I promise that you will still get your money's worth at this place.
