YES, it is worth it! I'll admit, I am not a camper and I was completely uninterested in shared bathrooms, but I booked two tipis for our family of six as I thought it would be a fun memory for my grandson's 4th birthday. We loved everything about our two-night stay. Both the adults and kids had an amazing time. I loved the time to connect around the shared firepit. We all made new friends. We met people from the U.K. and Belgium. It was lovely to watch my 5-year-old granddaughter play for hours with another little girl despite the language barrier. They just figured it out. The staff was amazing. The bathrooms were immaculate. We all slept like babies. Highly, highly recommend! p.s. Thank you, Dreamcatcher staff, for our breakfast bags packed for our early departure. WOW!!!!! This was such a wonderful experience. We were greeted by Kelsey and Tally. They were such gracious hostesses. We were given a tour of the property and then the best for last, our beautifully decorated Teepee. GORGEOUS! We needed nothing. There were plugs for charging our electronics, the bathrooms accommodated all our needs and the evening social gathering was a perfect way to unwind. What a beautiful and extraordinary experience as part of a trip to Yellowstone!!! We booked here because we always wanted to go glamping and were impressed with footage of Dreamcatcher on utube. The tipis were every bit as wonderful as depicted and the private bathrooms just incredible! Sure, they were shared but ratio of bathrooms to tipis very manageable. And the staff literally went in to clean and sanitize every hour -- I always felt that I was entering a freshly cleaned luxurious bathroom suite. This review has to be long winded because there are so many wonderful things you should know about Dreamcatcher! We visited the third week of May and the nights were very cold but the beds with electric blankets and the modern space heaters kept everything cozy and inviting. As someone who has to make trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night now, I was grateful that my request to have a tipi fairly close to bathrooms was cheerfully accommodated, and I really appreciated the heated bathrooms with heated floors. I think even in summer guests will appreciate a warm bathroom at night. Every single member of the staff, and I interacted with at least 4 different folks, were engaged, friendly, and welcoming. It's easy to tell when employees are happy and in a company that is run well because it reflects on interactions with guests. The excellent morning coffee/breakfast station and nightly campfire were awesome!!! The only things I would suggest to the company is (1) add some bathrooms that are toilet stalls only so if it's crowded and you just need to pee you can get right in and (2) add an outdoor kitchen sink with a clear sign that folks using a barbecue grill, kitchen utensils and such DO NOT USE THE BATHROOM to clean these items. I stumbled upon a guy in one of these beautiful bathroom suites using the sink to clean a dirty grill (yuck) and saw his friend coming over with his grill ready to jump in there as well. For those of us who are strict vegetarian for cultural reasons, it is taboo to come in contact with things that have held meat. Thankfully the staff kept the bathroom clean though. read more

We booked this stay through our travel agent and it was the last weekend of the season it was open. The location is perfect! It is less than 20 mins from the north entrance to Yellowstone and only 5 mins from the Yellowstone hot springs! The tipis were reasonably spaced from each other so although you could hear people talking at night outside their tipis, it wasn't unreasonable or inhibit sleep at all. The tipis are HUGE. Ours fit a king bed, two tall electric fans, two electric heaters, a big chair plus two twin beds comfortably! We loved having the heaters because it got really cold at night so glad for those. We are unsure how well the two talk fans would work to cool the space when it's hot outside but they looked like heavy duty fans! We love the s'mores , communal campfire and two adult beverages nightly! It was a good way to meet people and talk about sights to see! Each tipi also has its own Adirondack chairs and mini propane fire pit too so you can enjoy your own time as well. Each night when I got up to use restroom in middle of the night, I'd choose to sit outside the tipi and turn on fire and admire the sounds of wildlife and the bright stars. It's a great perk to have!! the restrooms were our only concern but we had tipi 14 which we think is closest to the restroom so that helped. Each tipi has a mini LED lantern you could take to bathrooms. It was bathhouse with 6 rooms and every time I needed to go there was at least one open but I can see how it may get super busy during peak summer time. The owners stated they will be adding additional bathrooms for next year! The showers were rain showers and the floors were heated and the bathrooms were always stocked with hand towels and were pristine clean. I assume they clean them often although I only saw a cleaning person once so they must be stealthy. My reason for not giving 5 stars is because of the bathrooms. For the number of tipis, I def think they need more bathrooms but I still enjoyed my stay and never had any "emergency" situations. Lastly, the breakfast. It was actually really good for a tipi resort. They had protein bars and nut/granola bars and Costco hard boiled egg packs as well as kodiak cakes, oatmeal bowls, cereal and cheese snacks! They also had coffee and tea/apple cider packs. It was perfect for what we needed before going into the park each day. We would HIGHLY recommend staying here on your next visit out to Yellowstone! We loved it and our favorite part was the view of the stars each night. We loved this place! read more

If you love glamping and want to splurge for a memorable Yellowstone experience this charming place is a must! The host was very friendly and welcoming. I had indicated that we were going to leave predawn in order to wildlife watch and he thoughtfully packed a 'to go' continental breakfast for us which was unexpected and really appreciated. Pros: -Close to north park entrance - about 5 min away. -Very comfortable beds/bedding and spacious interior. -Outlets to charge phones etc. inside tents. -Tent heaters worked well - very comfortable temp inside the tent in the morning even when it was in the 50s at night. -Very clean bathrooms with thoughtful amenities and plenty of hot water. -Amazing view of stars. -Quieter than expected for camping experience. -Lawn and board games. -Community camp fire as well as individual propane fire pits provided. Cons: -Pricey (but comparable to in park hotels). -The shared dirt road leading up to the sight had some deep potholes. Suggestion: -Only other minor thing I would have appreciated is having access to hot water for my tea after/before canteen hours (they have cold water and provide individual water bottles for you). Overall: -Highly enjoyable experience. Would definitely stay there again. read more

A magical experience for us and our grandsons, ages 9 and 11. They even arranged a double rainbow to greet us as we arrived, haha! The teepees are very comfortable, breakfast is yummy, and the evening campfire offers a wonderful way to wind down at the end of the day. I want to give this place more stars, but I just can't. We were there the week they opened. While we were in resting from a morning of adventure, fellow visitors were out at the picnic area with their dogs (unleashed). Neighboring dogs and visitors dogs got into a tussle and next thing we know the gentleman running the place that day was in an argument with the neighbor. After a lot of screaming between these two grown toddlers, the gentleman running the place that day told the neighbor he could go F*#% himself. Not only that but the visitors dog nipped at my hand later that day while I was just walking back to my tipi. We were sadly disappointed at the behavior of the staff that day, and just the overall place in general. Definitely wasn't how it is portrayed on their social media. Not as vast as it is portrayed online. We were booked for 4 night stay and ended up leaving early as we just didn't feel comfortable being there. That being said I give it 3 stars, as it is conveniently located to the north entrance. I would advise if you plan on staying there to be sure to bring food for meals, as there aren't many restaurants in a close proximity. read more

Stayed here for two nights and it was pure magic. We arrived and got a full tour of the premises that included private bathrooms, communal fire pit, breakfast nook and of course the tipis. Our tipi had the most comfortable beds and space heaters to brave the cold nights. My reasoning for this splurge was that all the hotels, even the roach motels, are super pricey near Yellowstone, so, why not stay somewhere my family will remember forever? After staying there, yes, it was worth it. The teepees are beautiful and the furniture inside is comfortable. However, we stayed in the two bed teepee and the beds are short! Be prepared for that. We still slept well and breakfast in the morning was delicious. They found a way to safely serve a well thought out meal. We were there a couple of days and met the housekeepers who were very friendly and helpful. After a day in the park we returned to the evening reception, which was a nice touch, but I don't think they refill the beer, so plan on having one. Not the same situation with the wine. Seemed to be plenty of that. This was a wonderful place to stay and I am so glad we chose it. There is one major point that bothered me, and I'm not sure what they can do about it. The bathrooms are full in the morning. I went to shower and saw it was the last open bathroom, so I chose to wait. I was worried someone who just woke would not get to use the restroom. I think they should have built, or should build, more stalls and assign a stall to your individual teepee. This would also solve the problem of unsupervised children playing in them at night and of people leaving the doors open at night. read more

As though the accommodations aren't enough, the sense of community is an added bonus. Just after sunset that really get the fire going, and serve wine, beer and s'mores to guests. We enjoyed our tipi experience immensely. We pulled in and checked in at the check in tent with ease, we were escorted around personally and shown the breakfast /coffee tent and also shown or tipi. He unzipped the tipi and went in to show us around and explain. Our guide wanted to make sure that we understood use the heaters and such. Wine and smores time was explained so at wouldn't miss it. It was very enjoyable to sit with the others staying the night and visit with others from all over the world. The bathrooms, although shared, are very nice. I never had a wait as there were plenty. On an 8 day trip, the bed in our tipi was the most comfortable out of all our stays! Very relaxing stay and a beautiful way to enjoy the outdoor beauty. Continental breakfast is provided 8-10 but we skipped out early to hit the road. We would definitely look forward to another stay at Dreamcatcher Tipi. read more

Was really a once in a life time trip, hopefully not just once in this women's life. The scenery is majestic, the entrance to Yellowstone, so convenient. I just wanted to give a special ty to all of the staff there, as we came at the end of their season, but especially, "Faith." The breakfast was plentiful. The Yellowstone hot springs is literally down the way. Hot/cold water contrast- better than any NSAID, 'Nough said! 12-14 buffalo hides made up tipi. Beds are comfortable, can't take away stars for feeling dried out in the tipi (electric blanket/heater provided). Being colder would be better than being dried out..wine, wine, whine! Won't forget moon peaking 'round the mtn. Prefer to focus on what was vs. what wasn't. GM, we didn't have much + interaction @ first, but you grew on my sig other. When we initially booked this place, there was a little bit of hesitation on the part of my mother-in-law. I thought it would be a great experience and I tried to convince the others. Eventually, everybody came around and everybody in our group was talking about how much they love the experience afterwards. We are already planning our return trip there. It was so nice in terms of the accommodations as well as the campfire at night where everybody got together and talked exchanging stories from wherever they were from. The staff was extremely nice also. You could tell that they certainly loved what they do. Remember this is a teepee so during the day it is unbearable in the summer- they offer heaters for nighttime but investing in a small portable a/c unit is a must! We recently stayed 4 nights at Dreamcatcher and it was a blast! Now a few things you should know before making a reservation here...you have to walk from your tipi to the bathrooms, not far but bring something to carry your toiletries in to make it easier. This is not the ideal place to stay if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room - no tv and the Internet is not strong enough to stream from your mobile device. You are sleeping in a tipi and while it is very luxurious it is still glamping don't expect the same amenities a nice hotel would have. All that being said, it is an awesome concept and the morning views are amazing! The grounds are set up well and if you catch a rainless night the smore's and campfire is a blast. I strongly recommend staying here just know what you are signing up for so you are not disappointed. read more

We had a wonderful experience here and my only regret is that we didn't stay longer. It was so relaxing there and we loved that the deer came right up near our campsite in the evening and then were in the campgrounds early the next morning. We were warm and very comfortable overnight and the bathrooms were clean and warm with their heated floors. The breakfast options were great and they had the best coffee I had during our whole trip. We spent two nights here, and absolutely loved it. Upon pulling onto the property for the first time, I had my reservations. The tipi are located next to the main road, and they are very close together. After staying for a short time you realize that you dont notice the road, only the amazing views. The bathhouse was also a concern for me until I saw it. This is not a normal bath house. There are eight individual bathrooms that are as nice as hotel bathrooms. They also come with heated floors! To call this a bathhouse does not do it justice. The best part of the stay is the evenings around the campfire. They provide free beer, wine, and s'mores. This is where you loosen up and make friends with all of your fellow tipi'ers. The staff is also top notch, and do a great job of making you feel welcome and special. If you are thinking about visiting here, take my recommendation and go! read more

This is the most amazing spot to stay for your trip to Yellowstone. The tipis are actually luxurious. The space is relaxing. Our two kids were given options of yard games, frisbee and soccer ball to entertain themselves. The super friendly guy who checked us in was helpful with place in town to eat dinner and then we relaxed with sounds of the stream and an actual elk laying in yard while we sat on our choice of porch swing or Adirondack chairs relaxing. I literally regret that we stayed in Yellowstone for about the same price and could've stayed here two nights. At around 7:30-10 there was a beautiful fire with a ridiculous setup for s'mores and complimentary beer and wine. It doesn't get any better. There were no bugs (weird if you are from the east coast!) and the bathrooms (while a very short walk) were well appointed and very clean. I can't say enough positive things. We just left Dreamcatcher and had the best experience so I wanted to write since it's a new place. Owner, Trevor, and his mom, Jill, were the friendliest hosts and so accommodating and welcoming. Trevor was very responsive by phone before our visit to answer all questions, and one day when we left our dog in crate in the tipi so we could explore, they were so helpful in walking and checking in on her. Grounds have beautiful, private bathrooms, grills (we cooked out both nights!), a bonfire area, and more. Tents were decorated beautifully, had personal keurigs, and beds were extremely comfortable (more so then many hotels we've stayed in during our trip). Fresh baked goods provided for breakfast too! Groups were a nice mix of couples and then families with kids. It was a beautiful place to come back to after long days of exploring Yellowstone. Overall, we couldn't say enough great things about the place and ownership, and recommend to all!! read more

We just spent two nights in this lovely hotel. The tipis were beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The hosts were warm and welcoming. A campfire and social hour(s) is provided each evening for the guests. The grounds were quiet and park-like. On our first morning, we woke to find a small herd of elk grazing nearby.
