The hotel is on a side street and a little hard to find if you show up at 10:30 pm. Staff was helpful. However parking is pretty nonexistent if you show up late. If you park on the sidewalk make sure it's in an approved spot. I got a ticket for parking on the sidewalk. However the hotel took care of it. Like all the hotels around here they are priced more bc you're so close to West Yellowstone. read more

Let me start this off by saying this is a really well situated, cute, and clean stay. The situation that left a bad taste in my mouth was as follows.. it can be kind of hard to find a place that will let you use the restroom in West Yellowstone. One of the perks of having a room there I suppose is you have constant access to a bathroom. Later in the morning one day we went back so my husband could use the restroom quickly. The guy was in there cleaning and we did not want to spook him so we drove up to the office. They would not let my husband use the restroom. So we ended up driving back to the room and approaching the guy cleaning so that we could use it. As we were pulling out the guy from the office was walking and asked if he got in. My husband said yes but he didn't understand why he couldn't use the one in the office. The clerk told him they didn't even have one in the office. My husband asked what they do and the guy said go home. Again my husband said that is hard to believe and drove off in frustration with the clerk literally yelling you had better believe it to our car. Again I will say this place is a great location and cute. They just seem to be lacking in manners. read more

This motel is adorable, clean, and perfect for a fairly inexpensive stay while visiting Yellowstone. The rooms are small and very simple. The bed was very comfortable. Yes, the shower is super small and awkward with the spray, but it's everything you need to clean off after hiking all day. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. A two star motel w four star pricing. The room was clean w the sinks in the main room. The bathroom was small but adequate. Parking is a bitch. Not enough to go around. The stalls are diagonal small and tight. Backing out is difficult. If you have a full sized SUV or pickup truck forget it. There were no designated handicap stalls. The staff at the front desk was not overly friendly. They were more interested in looking at their computer screens than w talking to the guests. This happened on more than one occasion. Really disappointed that this hotel does not work with people who have had to cancel trips due to family emergencies. Visited from California and stayed a single night. Immediately the front desk concierge greeted my fiancé and I with a smile. She checked us into our room with great and easy service. We mentioned we had a large ice chest and immediately Nathan (also an employee of the Inn) offered to help me carry it up the flight of stairs. He even went back down to help my fiancé bring up her bags. The entire experience was great, service amazing, and the coffee/tea corner was stocked with a great assortment and very clean. Highly recommend! Oh and the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in at any hotel! And I travel a lot! One last tip The concierge suggested Wild West Pizza down the street. After a combined 20 hours of flying and driving I can't tell you how awesome the feeling was when I unlocked my key and entered my room at Moose Creek Inn. I had a King suite and looking at that huge bed with all of those pillows was such a warm welcome. The room was very clean, equipped with a microwave, small fridge and bathroom with shower and toilet. This was perfect for my 3 night stay in West Yellowstone. Close to everything in the town and so close to the parks west entrance, Moose Creek Inn was everything that I needed and hoped for. read more

I cannot even begin to express the hell the front desk staff put us thru. I had booked three rooms on Expedia and the hotel cancelled our reservation for one room. No explanation given. No trying to help. Nothing. The girl named Janelle was an absolute nightmare to deal with and made it quite clear this was our fault and did nothing to try and help us. She up charged us on a new room and did nothing but smirk at me for the 45 minutes it took to figure out the problem. She was very condescending and rude. The manager on the phone did nothing to help either. We live in MT and visited Yellowstone frequently. Needless to say we will never stay here again nor will the other two couples we traveled with. Giving this place one star is one too many. Honestly horrible customer service and not willing to own up to their own mistakes. I highly suggest staying at the Gray Wolf Lodge. Superior customer service, nice rooms and a nice breakfast in the morning. read more

Two issues I have with place. 1- If your nieghbors smoke and you want to run the A/C, make sure you bring a resiprator. 2- Do NOT park in the poorly designed parking lot. The landscaping is nice...has mature pines and plants, very cool. The rest of the motel pretty much is terrible: a. the rooms are tiny, especially the bathroom; one can't open door all the way because towel rack is in the way. Shower stall is miniature and one can't even get out the way of the spray, it's so small b. manager very unfriendly and made me wait for 2 hours for room to "be ready". This was a lie- the room was ready...my friend arrived 15 min. after me and got a different person at desk and they showed him right to his room. The manager just wanted to be on a power-trip, so I had to wait around for 2 hours c. they have strict cancellation policy. Even though I stayed for 6 or 7 days and paid for that many nights, had an emergency and had to leave early and they wouldn't refund 2 nights. The desk clerk didn't even say anything when I checked out early and I thought to check receipt. Sure enough they were keeping 2 nights, even though the motel was nearly full! I asked manager but they told me to read the fine print...sure, sure. d. parking lot is tiny and made of dirt - a lot of people had to park temporarily in the dirt area or park nearer to rooms to load or unload e. very poor electrical connections. In the bathroom the plugs were too worn out to even hold the prongs. Almost no place else to plug in phone, razor and other devices. Old place. In fact, dangerous non-GFI plugs in bathroom. Stay elsewhere - this place is truly crummy; rooms are poor, parking is poor, management and clerks unfriendly and if you have to check out early - they will keep your paid days! read more

This is an odd review to write. The hotel room itself was actually nice, but the experience as a whole matched what I've come to expect from West Yellowstone. Coming from Portland, you might be tempted to say that I have a problem with small towns. I assure you, I don't. We had some great experiences on this trip in some unexpected places. We stayed in some very local-feeling hotels. We even enjoyed Lander, of all places. There's just something off about West Yellowstone. I think it might be that it has nothing going for it except the park itself. Jackson has the parks and skiing. Other tourist destinations have tourism and generally some other industry. What else does West Yellowstone have? Anyway, I digress. We tried to stay in a place up the street, but they didn't have any rooms with two beds available. They suggested we try here. We weren't sure they were even open, but I checked the reviews on Yelp while sitting in the parking lot and decided to give it a try. They were open, but just barely. The woman behind the desk gave us the "what are YOU doing here" reaction to our arrival. We were told that we could stay, but ONLY for one night! She clarified to explain that it was their last night before closing for the season (it seemed more like she didn't want us here for too long when she first said it). I read in at least one of the reviews that the service here was bad, and that was painfully true. She was awkward, borderline rude and we left the office feeling very unsure about staying here. We went to find our room and realized that our room number wasn't even close to the numbers we saw from the rooms at the front of the hotel. I had to go back in and ask where our room was. It was around back (this could have been mentioned). As I said, the room itself was actually pretty nice (I should note that we stayed in the building in the back - it seemed like it was significantly newer than the main hotel building). It wasn't perfect, but we had worse along our trip. It gave me a strong sense of déjà vu for some reason . . . seriously, even now as I write this, I'm wondering if I've stayed here before. I can't think of when I possibly would have. The room seemed too new to have been where I stayed when I was a kid. Again, I digress. The room was eerie, spooky, creepy, whatever, but I think that was due to the nearly deserted town on one of the first snowy nights of the season. Our final experience here was what solidified a ranking lower than what the room itself deserved. I just knew this would be the case, but the advertised breakfast wasn't served the next morning. Sure it's the end of the season, but when you walk into a hotel that advertises that it serves a breakfast with your hotel stay, it shouldn't matter when you're staying. And if you're going to snub your end-of-season guests, you should at least tell them that's your plan. Instead of breakfast offerings, there was a sign that shouted "Ask the front desk for breakfast suggestions." Telling us to go to the place down the street isn't quite the same as serving breakfast to your guests. A truly appropriate send-off to complete our time at this place. read more

This is a quaint little stop a couple blocks off the main drag in West Yellowstone, walking distance to food and shops. We had a downstairs queen bed room, with all sorts of perks like directv, mini fridge, microwave, free parking right outside our door and charm out the wazoo. My only beef with the place was the bathroom wasn't as clean as I like, and it had a shower only; no bath tub, and I would've liked if they'd specified that before I booked, being a bath-taking kinda girl. The wifi is a little sluggish, but operative. Got a good deal using their own website. Would recommend again over the chains in town. read more

Quaint and tidy hotel with small but well equipped clean rooms. The staff was friendly and the lobby offered beverages at all times. There were even cookies for guest. I am pretty picky about sleeping comfort so I would only give the bed a 2 out of 5 stars, the super small shower would not allow me to shave without wetting my hair. Also parking was tight.
