Our family loves this place, we order for pick-up form here at least once a month and any time I get a chance to bring someone here, I do. If you are eating in it is small and has limited seating. It is a small family owned smokehouse and it feels like it. Staff is always friendly and helpful, never had a bad experience eating in or picking up. Family Favorites include the corn nuggets, ribs, turkey (the only turkey I've ever had that I like, it's not dry!) fried pickles, banana pudding and of course their brisket (which at times is hard to come by). We got here around 4:45 pm and definitely beat the dinner rush. This is a small place so if you are going to eat in, it's a good idea to go early. The place has the makings of being cute but leans more on the rundown side of things. We ordered ribs, brisket, sausage, cole slaw, fried corn on the cob, green beans, and fries. Everything was lukewarm- not my favorite. Truthfully everything felt like it could have been seasoned much more aggressively. If I had to find a favorite, I would choose the green beans and the sausage but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here. I ordered the pull-pork sandwich, little different being on toast I'm use to the bun. But it didn't affect the amazing smoke taste of the juicy pull pork. I had it with their sweet BBQ sauce. The sides were good I had greens which I think could use a little more season, but not bad at all. The BBQ beans were to die for. The services was so home feeling from when I walked in the door. I'm disappointed after paying $90 for food for the three of us. The staff was unprofessional and the tables were all dirty. I had to clean my own table. Waiting to get my drink I had to wait for a waitress to get hers first instead of letting the customer go first. On to the food. The brisket was cold and dried out, the ribs and chicken were cold and tasteless. The Cole slaw tasted like it was refrigerated in an open container because it tasted stale. My wife and I went for lunch. Food was great, staff was very friendly and was able to accommodate our large group at the time. We had the brisket lunch meal that came with two sides. There are both booths and tables, including a "community table" where you can meet other diners. We had a coupon for a free pork sandwich meal, so three of us went for lunch. Everyone ate everything we ordered and enjoyed it! I had the pork sandwich and creamy, sweet coleslaw (nothing onion in it!). Dennis had the chicken platter, with fries and potato salad. Our friend had pork ribs, mac and cheese, and collard greens. It gets crowded quickly for lunch and dinner so arrive a bit on the early side for ordering and seating. We attempted to order online about 50 minutes before closing. We refreshed and attempted again. The system would not ever allow the order to finalize. We decided to call and place the order. After selecting the option to speak with someone (2) a young irl answered and immediately put me on hold. She answered and said "Please ho...". I sat on hold for over 6 minutes. Another family member called and a different person answered. She seemed annoyed and informed that they were getting ready to close. It was 20 minutes ahead of closing time at this point. We visited 4 Trees Smokehouse when we were in the area a couple of weeks ago. It smelled amazing but I was a little disappointed with what I ordered. I ordered the baked potato topped with pulled pork. The potato wasn't quite cooked all the way through but was okay. When I came out all of the toppings except for the meat were on the side. I prefer mine with everything on it underneath the meat so the butter is melted. The meat was very good and it was tender and moist. The sauce was good too but I only tried the original. In deference to full disclosure, this was not our first choice for dinner tonight. In fact, it wasn't even on the list until we discovered that the first 2 options are both closed on Mondays. I've been driving past the building for the last 15 or so years on my way to and from work, and seen it as several BBQ places, but had never stopped. Wow, am I now glad I did. You order from the counter and go sit down and your meal gets delivered to your table. The dining area is small, with seating for probably 20-30 people, and it's got a very "comfortable" feel. Started with the fried mushrooms as an app, and we were pleasantly surprised at how large the portion was. Meals arrived shortly thereafter, and again noticed very generous portions for a quite reasonable price. I went with the 2 meat combo with 2 sides, and mama opted for the Stumps, after seeing all the glowing reviews online. My turkey and pulled pork were well-cooked and had great smoke flavor, complimented perfectly by the sweet house BBQ sauce. Sides were also very good, with a slight mustard tang to the potato salad and great flavor to the BBQ beans. Finally, the Stumps. All the 5 star comments about them are spot-on. Smoky pulled pork and Cole slaw, all wrapped up in an egg roll wrapper and deep fried, resulting in some absolute deliciousness. Top them with either ranch or the sweet BBQ sauce (or the Stump sauce if you like more of a mustard flavor) and savor each bite. Quick evening meal while moving my daughter and an hour before Big Oaks closing and they were still busy but kept up nicely and were very gracious with our small crowd. My family and I were all really hungry for BBQ and decided to give 4 Trees a shot. We ordered the family feast so we got a wide variety of meats. Let me say they do NOT use the word "feast" lightly. We all ate our fill and it barely looked like we touched the mountain of food we had. The ribs fell off the bone and the turkey and pulled pork were both really moist. The collard greens were subtle but very good. The Mac and cheese was a bit generic but that is the only fault with any of the food. (I didn't get to try the chicken as I ran out of space). The restaurant was super busy but they really needed someone out wiping down the tables as people leave.
