BUYER BEWARE: I DID NOT have a great experience with 4 service pros. So let me explain why I am leaving them 4 stars. I scheduled over the phone a week before they came to my home. I had been searching around for plumbers that don't charge a diagnostic fee/or a low diagnostic fee (basically an estimate/quote). The receptionist at 4 Service Pros ensured me that I will only pay a diagnostic fee if I decide not to go with their business, meaning they find out whats wrong but I decide to fix it myself or have someone (or other company) fix it. If a plumber has to use any tools there will be a diagnostic charge if I decide not to have them fix my issue. Basically saying for things we can see with our eyes, we don't charge, but for things we need to do some work, we will charge ya. A little political to begin with, but whatever. It would have been easier to just tell me how much they charge for an estimate like other companies, instead of using a dishonest marketing tactic. I decided to proceed anyway because they have amazing reviews on yelp and google. Gave them a shot. Bryan came out on the day of being scheduled and was very professional. He arrived before time and seemed like a smart guy, he has over 30 years of experience in the field. I confirmed AGAIN, with Bryan that I will only be charged a diagnostic fee if I decide not to have 4 Service Pros fix my issue. Next, Bryan opened up my ceiling drywall to determine where the leak was coming from. Turns out the leak was coming from a water gasket from the bathtub above (google what a bath tub water gasket is). I had already mentioned to Bryan that the tub is the most likely suspect for this leak before he cut open the ceiling but insisted he should open the ceiling to confirm. If I was a plumber, I would have at least checked the gasket FIRST in a clients home before opening up a dry wall considering a gasket takes 10 minutes or less to replace and costs less than 10 dollars from home depot. I thought OK fine, well, he's the plumber so I guess we have to take out dry wall. Plus, from a purely methodical/linear standpoint I could see why opening drywall is better to determine the issue than guessing and checking a tub leak. However, as a human you gain wisdom over the years. I would have thought someone with 30 years of experience would say, "well, your leak could be anything but lets start with a $10 fix instead of a $200+ dollar fix." But I get it, people have to make money, no plumber will come to your house to fix a $10 rubber ring, but that would have been the honest/wise thing to do if you really cared about your customer. After the fix was completed I was charged $400 for the whole ordeal. $218 for labor and parts (which was like $10 from Home depot so mainly just labor) and $189 for the diagnostic fee that I was ASSURED by 2 separate people would not be charged if I decided to give them business. Sure enough, diagnostic fee was charged, which proceeded in a 30 minute conversation with Greg, the owner of 4 Service Pros. At first Greg agreed with everything I was saying, but when it came to refunding me the money I was assured I would not be charged in the first place, he used many different tactics to not refund me the full $189. First he agreed with what I was saying and didn't mention the refund in an attempt to divert the conversation, next he tried to give me half off with technical and emotional appeal, and then he ended up refunding me the whole thing and had the audacity to claim that I was being unfair for a charge they told me they wouldn't charge me in the first place. From a business owners standpoint, I get it, you do not want to be out any money, period. However, whats right is whats right and I am glad that he was at least fair enough to give me my money back for the diagnostic fee, which is why I am leaving a positive review. However, BUYER BEWARE because some shady tactics were used both during the inspection, isolation and resolution of my issue and secondly every emotional and technical argument to not refund my money. So I am late in posting this review, but I want to make good on a promise to review the 4Service Pros Team. I had the best customer experience with this company in December 2017. I received great work and customer service for a home improvement project. I worked with this company to enclose an unfinished room in the basement of my home. This room required new framing, drywall installation, plumbing, and electrical needs to complete the room. The website is user friendly and quickly allows you to reach out to a member of their team in no time. The process allowed me to meet Brittney, who is a member of their customer service team. Brittney was helpful and courteous in helping me get things setup for Minh and his team to inspect and perform the work needed for the room. She is a great customer service leader who listens well and truly helps all customers in need of great service. I never felt like I was dominated by her throughout my conversations and experience with her or any other member of the customer service team. She then connected me with Minh, who is the main field service leader/project manager for all of their construction/improvement projects. Minh is the MAN! He is one of the best field service leaders for any construction project you will find in this area. This is the guy that you want backing you for your home improvement projects with the county to meet all compliance requirements. Minh is attentive and detail oriented when it comes to what functional needs are required for your room improvement projects. He always presented the best options that were sensible and reasonable for my room. I never felt like he tried to dominate or push me to get additional things that were not needed for the room. He sent his best guys to frame the room, install the drywall, and perform the enclosure necessary for the room. Additionally, the electricans and plumbing technicians sent did their work as well to ensure that my power, lighting, and water needs were performed well, too. All of these guys were great. There were a total of five technicians who came to my home to work on the project. They all showed up on time and were very professional as the work was being done in my home. They ended up getting the job done ahead of schedule. As a customer, I am pleased with the work performed and the level of customer service provided. If I ever am in need of interior repairs or work to be performed for my home, I will not hesitate to call Brittney, Minh and the 4ServicePros Team again. Read and Heed the advice! Note, this post is late. Finally got around to it. Lead technician is skilled and did a great job but the Owner and lack of any care for customers or customer service is the reason to think twice before using them. I recently heard a similar story and remembered I need to inform others so they can take into consideration. Had them replace HVAC condenser and blower. Whole system. Technician was curious, very well qualified, they were clean, installation went as promised. I was very happy with the install and the product. The problems and the 1 star are due to customer service and lack of any respect from the owner of the company. Less than one year from installation the system would not turn on. No heat on an extremely cold winter night. Time was 6pm Presidents day when the unit stopped working. Turns out the circuit board failed. Manufacture issue not installation. I called the emergency number for help. Tech returned the call, I described the issue and he stated they'll be out in the morning. That was the wrong answer, what is the purpose of an emergency service number if you don't help in an emergency, I had an emergency and needed it fixed tonight and he said the owner wouldn't allow it as being Presidents day would cost him too much in overtime. I demanded to speak that night to the owner. He called, well after 10pm, I described the situation and reminded him of the emergency service agreement, under a year warranty etc and demanded he comply with his agreement. That's when he became belligerent, cussed profusely, threatened me personally etc. Stated I don't care about you or any one like you because I have enough customers to make up the difference. And more ominously, threatened me against posting disparaging comments on social media etc. So threatened me against posting the truth. So buyer beware. Office staff, technicians all very professional and very well qualified. Care for customer, non existant... just review the above. There are plenty of qualified HVAC companies whose owners care for their customers. He did not in this instance.!! read more

This weekend I was cleaning and in a closet where the gas meter once was and moved outside a few years ago by Washington Gas, at that time there was a slight sent of gas, which I had reported years ago but was told then by Washington Gas that there wasn't any issue (???). Still having that sent of gas now years later (note never had a reason to go in that closet again and there was never the scent of gas in the basement at all) so Washington Gas came out and basically said there was a leak, although very slight, and said they simply were going to shut off the gas and as to fixing the issue it was all my responsibility and for me to get a plumber even though it was Washington Gas who removed the gas meter and did this work, but said they had no responsibility for this. And this was in the evening by this time. Frustrated and cold, I went to Yelp to see if there was a plumber that could help. I found 4 Service Pros and put a call in and got their voicemail, not surprising considering the late hour. However to my surprise and gratification, not only did I get a call from them, I received a call from the company owner who was tending to his own family. He was very understanding and immediately got his people out early in the morning the next day to size up the problem and assign his technicians. Although all their technicians were already assigned and working to help other customers, they did everything they could to help me. Each and everyone on the 4 Service Pros team were exceptional in doing everything they could to fix the situation. From working late into the evening, calling out as many technicians as necessary to get the work done quickly, working outside in the cold for hours and then waiting outside in their cold truck until nearly midnight when Washington Gas finally arrived (although were called at 8:20) to turn on the gas and do their inspection. I want to thank them all for you time and efforts, and perhaps most of all their diligence and patience in helping with a potentially dangerous and frustrating repair this weekend. read more

I was using a different company for HVAC and plumbing services that was recommended to me by realtor. They were fine for regular things but when I had an emergency they didn't have the staff to come out and fix the problem right away. I called 4 Service Pros based on the great Yelp reviews and every time since then (it's been about a year now) they've come out right away. Yesterday afternoon I got a call from the resident who lives below me in my condo building, telling me he noticed some water damage that he suspected was coming from a leak in my unit. I called 4 Service Pros and Tyriece came out a couple hours later. He was upfront and transparent during the whole repair. When he tried to take the bathtub faucet apart, the calcium buildup from the leak was so entrenched, he knew that he'd end up breaking the faucet if he tried to remove it. He showed me the whole thing. I asked him to replace the whole faucet and even though it was after 5pm at that point, he called his parts supplier who agreed to meet him at one of their sales locations nearby to open the store and sell him a new faucet. Tyriece came back less than an hour later, replaced the whole faucet, installed a new water shutoff valve, showed me how to use it, and was meticulous in his attention to detail when he put everything back together. It looks amazing. All told, from start to finish the whole visit took about 5 hours and I was so glad that he was able to come out and fix the problem all in 1 day. This has been my biggest fear when it comes to condo living - having a leak that damages a unit below me and having to arrange and pay for huge repairs. Well, I've now lived through it and 4 Service Pros was a huge factor in alleviating the stress that comes with that situation. 4 Service Pros did a phenomenal job. My wife and I could not have picked a better company to do the work. Every one of the workers were always professional, prompt, knowledgeable, paid attention to detail, hardworking and very friendly. Minh was the lead (supervisor), he is very meticulous, has a keen eye and pays attention to details. He was always available and ready to lend a hand to his workers and check up on their progress. If we had any questions or concerns, Minh was always responsive to us and very honest in his opinions, he didn't just tell us what we wanted to hear but gave us his honest assessments. Some of his suggestions saved us money. I Would like to also point out the two main workers, Eliqzar and Shane. They are very hard workers, friendly, but professional. Eliqzar and Shane did the bulk of the work and were also very meticulous about the work they were performing. The same applies to Peter the Electrician and the two Plumbers, Rick and Carlos. It was obvious that everyone enjoyed their work and was proud of what they were able to accomplish. Two additional people that I would like to point out is Sender the Flooring and Rug installer and Joel the Painter. Both did an outstanding job, the flooring and rugs look awesome and the painter Joel is amazing, the walls and ceilings never looked better. My wife and I were truly impressed by Joel and the amazing paint job he did and how hard he worked. I would not hesitate to recommend Joel and Sender if anyone is looking for a Painter or a Flooring and Rug installer. All in all, we couldn't have had a better company to perform the work. We lost electricity in three of the four bedrooms on the second floor of our home. After performing my own research I was able to determine the issue was on one circuit, although the circuit breaker seemed fine. Using a tester I checked the receptacles in those three bedrooms and the reading I received was "Open Neutral". I proceeded to remove all the face plates on the receptacles in those three bedrooms to look for a loose wire, but I did not find any. So I finally called in an electrician from 4 Service Pros, and as I scheduled it a few days later Brad showed up at my house within the window of time they gave me. Brad was awesome to work with as he actively listened as I described the problem, and he was great at working through the possible cause or source of the problem. After about 15-20 minutes of exploring and testing several scenarios, he was able to determine the problem was a loose neutral wire in the breaker box located in the basement. He tightened up a few loose screws in the box, and the problem was solved. The part I appreciated most in working with Brad is that he actually tried to save me money, looking for ways to resolve the problem without having to use his tools and taking things apart. Of course it helped that I already removed the receptacle face plates and unscrewed all receptacles. But the fact that he made the effort to save me money was so appreciated and so refreshing to experience from a service company. The actual cost to fix the problem was reasonable, so that was a relief as well. I will definitely recommend 4 Service Pros and Brad to my friends and neighbors. I had a water issue in my basement and several water remediation experts were able to offer ideas on what was the source of the leak but it wasn't until Thomas from 4 Service Pros arrived that I had a definitive answer. It turned out to be the garbage disposal. Thomas not only identified the source of the leak but took the time to explain how it potentially happened, showed me concrete proof that what he identified was, in fact, the source of the leak and explained how to avoid a future recurrence. He was friendly despite the late hour of the call and the fact that he had already worked a long day. He also was very responsible with communicating his status - he called to let me know that it would be several hours before he would arrive, which was greatly appreciated because I was then able to run a couple of errands rather than sit around and simply wait. When he arrived he immediately put on shoe covers and then enthusiastically greeted my two dogs which earned him serious bonus points in my book! He was able to provide me a quote before doing any work and remarkably already had an exact replacement garbage disposal on his truck which he then installed, thoroughly tested and got my sign off. He even explained how to use the "key" to clear out any potential future blockages. The whole leak experience has been incredibly stressful but Thomas made correcting the issue as pain-free and stress-free as possible. Words cannot begin to express how happy I was with the entire experience with 4 Service Pros and, in particular, Thomas. I called several places for quotes on my decades old and backed up sewage line. 4servicepros initially showed up to fix the clog but after running a camera thru the pipes they found our line was made of orangeburg (which is an outdated/obsolete pipe material) and advised us to replace it. We set up a time, they executed their work with top industry standards , and our issue was fixed! Service: I was probably a little frantic and pushed to have things done immediately when I first called them; they not only delivered on my timeline but kept great communication on both the office and technician end. Missy was my main point of contact on pricing, scheduling and all communication-- she was outstanding and very thoughtful with responses, adjusting timelines to cater to my work schedule and constantly checking in with me. For such a large project she was incredibly understanding and made the whole process pain-free. Very honest and dedicated service. Work: The whole team worked diligently and gave realistic expectations on the work. David and Edgardo diagnosed the issue, then David took over the project to excavate, replace the out-dated pipes and replace them with new hardened PVC. Had these guy come out to replace our entire AC unit a few days ago. The first person to show up (Connor) came in, very polite and very professional. Right away started working by taking out the old AC unit, getting ready to take up the new one. (Our AC unit is in the attic and the only way to get in and out is with a latter) A few unforeseen problems came up such as the new unit would not fit through the opening in the attic. Connor told us that he would need to make the opening larger by cutting it. He called his boss and told us that since this was an unforeseen problem we would not be charged for the extra work. Later in the day more of his team showed up. One of the gentlemen to show up was Dan. (Apologies I don't remember everyone else's name) I've met him before when he came to do the estimate. As expected he was also very professional and knowledgeable about any questions or concerns we had. At this point our old AC unit was no longer on and the temperature in the attic was around 120. Whenever I saw them leave to get something out of the truck they were covered in sweat, never complaining, and apologizing for the extra time they needed. The process took 2 days since they had to do the extra work. But now our AC is running perfectly with no problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you Tyriece Walker. You are a real pro and you know what you're doing. I called 4 Service pro to give me a quote on what I believe is a broken pipe in my kitchen. The minute I saw water coming out from underneath my kitchen cabinets I knew that I had a major plumbing issue that will potentially require breaking into the concrete to fix the broken pipe. I was losing my mind as I knew this type of repairs will cost me thousands of dollars. I initially called Len the plumber and they came in and remove my dishwasher cut into the drywall in an effort to find the leak. Not only Len the plumber team didn't find the leak they speculated on the location of the leak and suggested running a new plumbing pipe underground. Next day I called 4ServicePro and within 2 hours Tyriece came in and analysed the issue, recommended a series of logical steps that made so much sense to me. His first step was to snake the pipe to clear the clog that was the likely culprit of the pipe burse. He snaked the pipe from the room vent and I had no idea this could be done from the room. Then he run the run the water for 20minutes and not a single drop of water leaked. What a relief! Though I understand this isn't a permanent solution, it buys me my some time to get my finances together to make a major plumbing repair. I highly recommend 4service pro for all plumbing repair. We found that our garbage disposal was leaking into our cabinets at 4:30pm on a Friday, the night before we were supposed to go out of town. We called multiple companies and none were able to make an appointment until Monday. Then we called 4 Service Pros. The person we spoke to on the phone was friendly and professional and said it would be no problem to have someone come take a look. They also mentioned that there would be no charge just to send someone to our apartment, which was an added bonus! The customer service rep took down our information and said a plumber would call us some time in the next few hours. Just about 15 minutes later, we got a call from Rick Corder who said he was on his way. Since our apartment building doesn't have parking, we offered to go find street parking for him so he didn't have to look around. He assured us not to worry about it, and that he'd find a spot himself. Rick and Juan arrived at our apartment and got to work, quickly replacing our garbage disposal with a new one. It was a huge relief to find a company with such professional and service-minded employees, who were able to help us out so quickly on a Friday evening when no one else was available! They did a great job fixing the leak for a reasonable price and putting our minds at rest in advance of our trip. Would definitely recommend this company, and especially Rick and Juan! read more

My hot water heater was leaking water due to a small crack in the cpvc pipe. I reached out to 4 Service Pros and they were able to send someone that day to take a look. My technician Carl Muterspaw was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnosis the issue and answered all my questions and concerns. He even explained my options and the pros/cons of fixing the leak vs replacing the system. I decided to replace the system since it is quite old. He was able to provide a fair and reasonable quote on the spot. Furthermore, he was able to start work right away, which was very important to me since I had turned off the water to the unit to stop the water from continuing to leak. He finished installing the new unit the same day so we were able to take hot showers that evening and we couldn't have been happier (there was a polar vortex hitting our area too)! The only thing I was not sure about was how a permit was to be obtained for this type of work. The company is heavily focused in VA so not sure how familiar they are with Montgomery County, MD. The permit from the City of Rockville was $289; however, a WSSC short form permit would have only been $135, which would have saved $154. Overall I was satisfied with the prompt response and service. If you have a plumbing issue I would definitely recommend 4 Service Pros and ask for Carl. Thank You, Carl! read more

My home had an electrical problem that defied a homeowner fix. I went on Angies List to find an electrician service that could help. After reviewing my description of the problem, the service listed 3 companies in the area. I reviewed the reviews and selected 4 service pros as the one to do the work. The company had over 200 reviews listed, and all the reviews I read were superb. I had intended to call the company at the opening time, 9 AM, to arrange for a time. I was surprised when the company called me at 0745 to arrange a service time which was 5PM to 7PM. I received a call from the technician at 1 PM telling me that he had finished his service call and could he come now. The service technician, Brad King, arrived in 15 minutes, He and I went over the problem and the electrical system in the house. He then began the trouble shooting process and discovered the problem in short order. It was a loose wire in an outlet that was working and use a problem throughout the house. The technician, Brad King, was simply outstanding. He was neat, clean, personable, and technically proficient. I could not have asked for a better service person. He cleaned up after his work and put everything back in the order it was when he arrived. I will use this company in the future and will ask for Brad King to do the work. Most impressive. read more

I fried my Garbage Disposal a few weeks ago and have 4 Service Pros come by to evaluate the issue and act if needed. Willis and his Co-Worker Joe came first thing in the morning - right at the beginning of my 2-hour window. They called 30 mins ahead of time to let me know when they would arrive. The office staff also send a picture of the field service member ahead of time - awesome communication! Both gentlemen are nice,polite and easy to talk to. Willis inspected my disposal unit and - considering the information I gave him - found the issue (and the underlying reason) very quickly. They provided a price-calculation for the replacement based on parts they have already with them or a later installation if I'd choose a different approach. I wanted to have if fixed, so I approved the immediate replacement. All in all, it took less then an hour, they explained every step and what I need to look out for to maintain the disposal unit properly. They worked carefully and left the work-space clean afterwards. I don't have any comparison in regards to the price, even though I felt they are a bit pricey. However, the work quality as well as the communication ahead and during the repair was excellent. I already requested an estimate for another project from them and would definitely recommend 4 Service Pros. Thanks! read more

Carrie C. After contacting numerous plumbing companies for hours and being told that I would be put on an emergency waiting list, I gave 4 Service Pros a call. From the moment that I called them, I knew that I would be placed in good hands. I explained what I thought the problems was and how NO ONE else could service me for up to 4 days from now. I was told right away that a technician would be at my house by the end of the day at the very latest and that I would have my problem fixed to my satisfaction that day. I expected to have to wait the 5-6 hours but actually I received a call from the technician Thomas H. within 2 hours that he was on his way and would be there no less than 45 minutes! Wow...he came and diagnose the problem, gave an estimate and stated he could have it done right then. I was so impressed with his efficient and knowledgeable manner in not only diagnosing but explaining the problem where a (non-plumber) could understand! It was very apparent that he had almost 20 years of experience under his belt!! He worked very quickly to fix our issue and made sure all was work well for before he left! Kudos to 4 Service Pros!! 4Service Pros is Great. I have a home warranty from Old Republic they sent out Universal Heat and Air to check my HVAC on March 9. 2019 on March 28, 2019 to replace my condenser and compressor HVAC Universal Heat and Air were their a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes for this install. Universal Heat and & Air Woodbridge VA did a horrible job on the install the Heat never worked the furnace/fan didn't work or emergency heat. I was afraid my cat would freeze no Joke it was that cold inside 58 degrees I was beside myself I had just paid 1,265 on the new equipment. neither company was helping they keep telling me I needed a line-0set that would cost 2000, I looked up company's on line 4-1-19 with good reviews. 4 Service Pros came to my home last night at 7pm 4-1-19 found that the new equipment was not turned on the took pictures and documented everything , Universal Heat and AIR had rewired all the wires in my furnace wrong broke things in my furnace. Electrical experts (Brad K. and Jamal B.) installed two exhaust fans/lights in my two upstairs bathrooms today. They were great!! It took about 4 hours, and there was a lot of sawing into the ceiling, rewiring as my house was not up to code in certain areas (they did not charge me for this!), and a re-design of the venting as my house had false venting near the roof. They did the job as if it was their home. They really cared to get it right, and when they left there was not a tiny bit of dust from cutting into the ceiling or insulation from going into the attic. They really did a neat job! Also, they treated my two dogs with so much kindness and patience. I have a rescue that likes to dart out the door, and they were so careful to be sure that she did not get out. My other dog loved them, which is unusual for strangers in the house. If I ever have other electrical work, I am definitely going to call and request them. They did an amazing job!!! OH, and they came in UNDER their original estimate. Because of the venting/ducting of the home, they could not install a second plug. They removed that charge. I highly recommend Brad and Jamal!!! read more

I called for a leak near my water heater and I also had some other plumbing issues I wanted to check on. Turns out it was not my water heater but a pipe needing repair. It entailed having the county turn off the water for my condo complex and was scheduled for the next day to give sufficient notice to my neighbors. Bobby came back the second day at the time agreed. It turned out to be more complicated than first thought. But Bobby knew what to do and how to improvise and in the end solved the problem. I also had asked him about my leaking water fixture on the shower. He told me what it would cost for him to repair and provide the needed part, or what it would cost if I obtained the part myself. (I had him repair it, and it was done in a matter of minutes). In addition, I had a problem with my toilet. He suggested I call the manufacturer and they would send me a replacement part at no cost. I had no idea they would do this but they did! Overall, quick and good service from the time I first called for an appointment, until the problem pipes were fixed!
