He came out the next day (a Saturday) to quote the job. His price was fair and his team was able to come out the following Monday. I would definitely hire Mason Trees again.

I called Mason Tree service because they were in town and try to do business locally if possible…read more Justin came to the house and he quoted me 550.00 to trim my tree. He said he let me know when he had a date to come and trim. A few days later my door bell rings and two guys are outside saying they are here to trim my tree. Usually I am at work but happen to be off work that day for an appointment. So they set up and ask how much I was quoted and I tell them 550.00 and then they say that can't do it for 550.00, that they need 700.00 instead and that the owner gave too low of a price. So they are here and I want my tree cut so I agree to just eat the price because I don't want to wait any longer. Usually when my tree is trimmed by other companies, they climb the tree, and tie a rope to the branch they are cutting and throw the rope over an adjacent branch so the branch swings away from the house or trimmer then they lower it down. this was not the case with Mason Trees. Instead they just used a chainsaw on a long pole, never thinning out those top branches. Wait, it gets better - the kid cuts off a huge branch from over my garage, the branch punches a huge hole in my siding over my garage door. and the kid is like, no problem I can patch that to look brand new... A week passes and the kid never comes back to patch the hole so I had to call the owner. He sends the kid over and he fills the hole with some foam, then never comes back. Call the owner again and he sends the kid over again and he puts some more foam and promises to come the next day, 3 days later I call the owner again and again and again. After a month of this I ask for his insurance and he says it would be cheaper to just pay someone, so I agree but need to hear something from somebody, after 3 days of nothing I call him again - and he sends the kid back out to my house to try to patch it up. I finally send the kid away and call is insurance, now 3 weeks later his insurance has not done diddly squat so now have to bring it to the courts. If I can get the courts to force Mason Tree to fix my house and I am compensated for loss of pleasure then I will finally get some closure. See the photo of their wonderful patch job !!!

This company was professional, answered all my questions and even suggested a few things to considered. They incorporated my vision of what I had in mind with their many years of experience in the landscape business/design. The lead foreman assured me "we are going to make it look really nice", and that is exactly what they did and more. The final transformation was amazing. They did a great job rerouting a few underground sprinkler lines in order for plants to get efficient watering levels. The crew was polite, cleaned up afterwards and worked very hard throughout the day to get their work done on schedule. I highly recommend using this company. I live in Del Webb in Richmond and I have noticed their company trucks many times since my project was complete. I also chked out their BBB rating and Google reviews before hiring them. I plan on having them back out before summer to freshen up mulch before the heat arrived again. BTW- My landscape was completed around the Christmas holidays and not a plant died! Thanks Mike Ball Irrigation and crew!!

I shopped around and no one else compared. They best part was how quickly they finished the job. There were 4-5 of them in a couple of company trucks. All in all, they worked on a little bit of something in every zone. Thank you very much Terra Sol!

I used Greenscapes Lawn and Landscape for two years…read more The first year, the lawn service did a great job. That is where it all ended. The second year was a disaster. I hired them for stonebed landscaping for my frontyard. Yes, like another review, I had to put 75% deposit down for the project, and it was not cheap by any means. Now stating that, as expensive as this project was (almost $4k), the stones are starting to deteriorate. This is based on normal Texas weather. (Per the owner, these stones come from Oklahoma) The stones are pure garbage. I hired them for winter weather prevention (over $300) for my front landscaping and backyard, including three medium-size trees. Let me state, the owners son handled this project, and he did a horrendous job. He is completely incompetent. My front landscaping died. The owners son broke several branches on my trees to the point where one tree was almost destroyed. The wrapping on one tree came completely off, and later that night, I was out there on a ladder trying to re-wrap it. Let me also state that when the owners son was down with his horrendous workmanship, he forced my backgate inward, against the grain of the hinges. I could literally put my entire arm between where he forced the backgate inward and the gate post. I had to kick the backgate 3 times extremely hard with my foot to open the backgate properly. HE'S AN IDIOT. What really infuriated me (and I am putting that politely) is I have three German Shepherds, so leaving the project without notifying the customer is unacceptable. I was beyond furious with the problems he caused with my backgate, forcing it inward. What if the owners son had broken the backgate forcing it inward against the hinges and the customer was not aware? What if my three German Shepherds had got out? OH, HELL HAVE NO FURY.... I should have fired them right then, but that is my mistake. The final straw was the next summers lawn crew, which were completely different guys and utterly useless. They would show up and stand out front for 5 minutes with their arms folded, shooting the BS instead of doing their jobs. I know this for a fact, as I caught them on my Ring Doorbell. I also have three German Shepherds who have no problem telling me when someone is on their property. I was also having other upgrades completed on my house, and the crew members would knock on my door and tell me; "did you know your lawn crew is just standing out front?" Oh, when I called and complained to the owner, he called me a liar. Yes, the owner called the customer a liar. That is professionalism at its best. Personally, I find the owner to be very arrogant and condescending. Recap: Stonebed landscaping deteriorating, winter weather prevention an absolute disaster, lazy and useless crews, incompetence by the owners son, and overall attitude by the owner unprofessional and unacceptable. Yes, I fired them. CUSTOMER BEWARE
