We had a big cleanup project and lots of clearing of dead plant matter, bamboo, leaves and vines. The crew did an excellent job. The planting was a little disappointing because we were unable to get all the native plants in the bid, but we agreed to some substitutions. The plants are a little sparsely planted in my opinion, but they are perennials and in pretty good shape, and they should fill out the space as they grow. There was good communication throughout the whole day of cleanup and installation.

We set up an appointment time and he arrived at the scheduled time (some never showed up...) We went over the work in detail and he was great to work with, very positive and keen to do a good job. His prices were as expected (some bids way overcharged, just ridiculous amounts!) and we agreed to terms. He arrived on the agreed-to day and did a great job of the yard. I was very happy with the work. I even asked if he could take away some junk that the tenant had left behind and he agreed to this without additional charge - something I loved. We stayed in touch throughout the process (I wasn't there, since I live in another city) and he sent me regular picture updates of the work and any issues. If there was any ambiguity, he would check with me first, rather than assuming (great again!) All in all, I had a great experience with Jonathon and can highly recommend him to do your landscaping. I notice there are not many reviews, but don't let that put you off. This is a real review (although even a fake review would say that I guess) and I would say go for it. The landscaping was scheduled to start on Wednesday February 22, 2023. The following listed events occurred during the initial contract with Fort Bend Backyards and the owner. * We paid $1,860.00 down payment for the horrible unprofessional, unproductive, unfinished Landscape services! We are currently due a refund of $1,000.00 for work that was never started or completed. * Based on the invoice only debris removal, site preparation and some landscaping Bullrock ground preparation have been delivered and placed in the yard. * On Wednesday February 22, 2023, they showed up at 2pm without any notification. * Everyday there was always a total lack of communications to explain where the job team was and when and what services would be completed! * They left landscaping tools and supplies laying in the yard and unsecured. They have still not been picked-up the tools. * They showed up on Thursday February 23, 2023, to work after 10am without any type of notification. * Then on Thursday 23,2023,they left our job site at 4pm to respond to previous customers completed project. The explanation provided was their previous client was requesting additional services be completed! * They left a worker at the job site for 3 hours without any job duties, landscaping supplies or any instructions for working on the job. The worker sat in our lawn chair without conducting any job duties for 3 hours while on his phone, then the worker left the job site at 4pm. * The landscaping supplies for our job were not ordered and delivered to the company prior to starting the job on Wednesday February 22, 2023. * There were other job duties, irrigation repairs, grass sod and plenty of debris removal and site preparations that could have been conducted during the day even thought other supplies had not arrived to complete any progress on the job. * I have pictures of the uncompleted work in our back yard. * On Friday February 24, 2023, We were told the anticipated time of arrive for starting the job was delayed until 2pm based on supplies needed to make any progress on the job. As of 5:00pm we had not seen the company or received any form of customer communications. We texted and called the owner Mr. Crenshaw to obtain job status information. * Again, on Saturday February 25,2023 and Monday February 27, 2023, we attempted to contact the company and owner Mr. Crenshaw. * We have never received any type of response. The company again was a NO CALL NO SHOW to complete any work! * The company did not show up or communicate in any form with us! This company is totally unprofessional or productive with providing any positive Landscaping Services!!!!

Ask me when I would like to get the project started and then got upset at me and asked me that he didn't call me to argue and I told him I don't know when I wanna get started. I thought you guys would come out and look at the place and he just became argumentative for no reason when I was trying to do a schedule an appointment and then he said that he's not getting along with me and hung up.
