Not only is Josh himself highly accommodating, professional, timely, experienced and helpful, his crew is always pleasant and easy to talk to. In addition, his services come at a competitive rate but his value to us is very high.

I called Mason Tree service because they were in town and try to do business locally if possible…read more Justin came to the house and he quoted me 550.00 to trim my tree. He said he let me know when he had a date to come and trim. A few days later my door bell rings and two guys are outside saying they are here to trim my tree. Usually I am at work but happen to be off work that day for an appointment. So they set up and ask how much I was quoted and I tell them 550.00 and then they say that can't do it for 550.00, that they need 700.00 instead and that the owner gave too low of a price. So they are here and I want my tree cut so I agree to just eat the price because I don't want to wait any longer. Usually when my tree is trimmed by other companies, they climb the tree, and tie a rope to the branch they are cutting and throw the rope over an adjacent branch so the branch swings away from the house or trimmer then they lower it down. this was not the case with Mason Trees. Instead they just used a chainsaw on a long pole, never thinning out those top branches. Wait, it gets better - the kid cuts off a huge branch from over my garage, the branch punches a huge hole in my siding over my garage door. and the kid is like, no problem I can patch that to look brand new... A week passes and the kid never comes back to patch the hole so I had to call the owner. He sends the kid over and he fills the hole with some foam, then never comes back. Call the owner again and he sends the kid over again and he puts some more foam and promises to come the next day, 3 days later I call the owner again and again and again. After a month of this I ask for his insurance and he says it would be cheaper to just pay someone, so I agree but need to hear something from somebody, after 3 days of nothing I call him again - and he sends the kid back out to my house to try to patch it up. I finally send the kid away and call is insurance, now 3 weeks later his insurance has not done diddly squat so now have to bring it to the courts. If I can get the courts to force Mason Tree to fix my house and I am compensated for loss of pleasure then I will finally get some closure. See the photo of their wonderful patch job !!!

Initially I was told Mon- Tues with 3-4 guys working. By noon, I was texting him asking when the guys were going to arrive and he said they would t be there till Tues. There were 3 guys the first day to cut trees, but the work took until Friday because there was really only one guy working for Wed and Thurs and two guys in Friday. There was more work to be done and Ernest told me he would need to order supplies. I've had to follow up several times to see when they are coming back to finish although I was I initially told the following Mon, then Friday and now TBD. This has been particularly frustrating because we are trying to get our house ready for sell and was not able to show it while there were workers here and the 'curb appeal' was not where we wanted it without the work being done. I am still waiting for the rest of the work to be done and may increase the rating for quality as long as they finish the work- TBD... UPDATE: They never finished the work they agreed to do which was adding stone around the rest of our trees. I feel like we over paid for labor that was never completed (we were going to pay additional for the materials which we had agreed on) Ernest never got back to me and has ignored the follow up texts and calls. Very disappointing.

He was very knowledgeable and patiently worked with us to create a finished product better than we imagined. We worked with all of his longtime crews who were very respectful to us and our home. They cleaned up after themselves every day, never blared music and kept to a tight schedule working very hard daily. No corners were cut with any of the preparations and quality work was of upmost importance. They worked with existing drainage, plumbing and sprinklers and made repairs/upgrades as needed while helping to stay within budget. Trey was also very helpful when we picked out planters so we obtained the best shape and size. Neighbors are constantly complementing our yard, and one even stopped to ring the doorbell while on a walk to share his positive thoughts. Trey and his entire team are fantastic to work with, and they are very talented. Highly recommend!!
