How on earth this place keeps winning in the local paper's "Best Of" is beyond me. If you try to get a human being on the phone, you're out of luck. Need a prescription? You're driving 45 minutes to pick it up at some hippie herbal store cause they don't have a pharmacy. After being told I 'sounded upset' after 3 WEEKS of them screwing up the prescription over and over and over, I was handed off by some weepy snowflake to someone who couldn't even apologize - I'm sure you can figure out what I'm saying by a quick glance at the staff photo. Lots of Baby Snowflake Karens. The only cool person was the vet herself! The best? When we got sick of their nonsense and went to our old vet, turns out that 1 of the conditions they claimed our kitten had, THE KITTEN DIDN'T HAVE. If you're gonna do a cash grab, be subtle about it. This is an edited review after calling this morning to try to figure out why I was suddenly charged almost $500 unexpectedly. The kennel had forgotten to charge a previous 2 night stay. They told me at one point that they don't keep a card on file, but I had given them my debit card to charge that stay and they forgot to do it. So when they remembered, rather than calling me and letting me know they were going to charge my debit card, they just charged it out and sent an invoice that said December 30. I changed my debit card number yesterday and will never give it out again this way to a business. When I called to find out what was going on, there was absolutely no accountability for the financial impact of forgetting to charge my card and then doing it without at least notifying me first. This was the culmination of several issues with the clinic. I won't go back. read more

They are very dog friendly. Dr Cook is amazing and I wish I remembered the techs name because he was outstanding as well!

Worst vet ever. I've been to several and have never been so disrespected. They messed up my appointment and made me prove I had one. We will be court after false charges since the owner can't call me. To answer their response. I was treated poorly. Very unprofessional. Everyone I know will also be leaving practice. I was upset about a mistake. It was how I was treated and how it was handled. It wasn't. I was told I'd be called Friday. It is many days later and they do not have the decency to still call. read more

I brought my geriatric cat in for her first visit with Dr Wiggins, unfortunately it was a sick visit, but the vet tech (Janelle) took the time to look at mocha and examine her and wrote everything down, not once did she or Dr.Wiggins look at me like i had 5 heads like i have experienced at other vets during sick visits. They took their time and recommended the right tests and they called me back as soon as the results were in! I have also taken my kittens here for their check ups and I have been happy with each visit! read more

They are nice and friendly but waay too expensive. They over test and will do nothing for your dog without you at least spending $100-$200 per visit. We are switching vets as a result. Have had dogs my whole life and never seen a vet that tries to nickel and dime you so much. read more

4 Paws is the best! Dr Wiggins, and now Dr White as well, have taken great care of Coolata. The techs and all the staff do a great job of working with the four legged patients as well as us humans. We are always greeted cheerfully and Coo made a fuss over and petted. Tech appointments for stuff like blood draw, regular vaccinations when scheduled between dr visits, and between grooming nail clips are helpful for me. Coo has boarded on several occasions and I don't worry about her when I've been away. She comes home happy and smelling good. Also get her groomed by Levada, who does a great job with her. I wish I had as much confidence in the care and concern of some pediatricians I've had interaction with as I do in 4 Paws care of my furry kid. read more

I've been going here for years! I now have 2 cats and 2 dogs. My dogs go there regularly for grooming and sometimes even board here when my petsitter isn't available. They absolutely love the staff and so do I. They are so comfortable with the vets and techs here - even when my girl husky had to get her faced lasered for an infection. My daughter and I brought my son's dog to Dr Wiggins for an emergency situation. Her web site states they took emergency situations and that is why we picked her service. Our dog appeared suddenly ill we left immediately for her office which is ten minutes from my daughters residence. We arrived there and went in to the office requesting help for our dog. Dr Wiggins approached our car and from approximately twenty feet away stated back to one of her staff the dog was stable. She at NO time came near our pet nor did she attempt to examine him. My daughter and I struggled to carry our seventy pound dog yelling for help. The technician that was near the for three her arms up and said I can 't help you . She pointed to an examining room and told us to bring him there. We brought our pet to the room, our pet showed many signs of distress and suffering. My daughter went to the desk again asking for help. At this te there were approx fifteen clients waiting with their pets. None that looked in immediate danger. We returned to the room. This pleading and begging for help was to no avail. Again in her profile it stated in the case of an emergency their staff and the vet would put an emergency as a priority. Forty five minutes later as we continued for help the vet never entered the room. We where literally watching our dog suffer beyond belief. He tried to walk, kept falling, I got on the floor with him and held in my arms trying to comfort him. He stomach was bloating and his tongue swelling and turning blue. I said to my daughter we have to go to Latham there's an emergency vet there. We struggled to carry our pet to the car. My daughter got in the back seat and we left for the Latham site. We called and when we arrived the vet was in the parking lot waiting. Our cherished pet had died. I am writing this because of a horrible experience. I would not want anyone to have their pet suffer when I was in a facility that clearly stated on their web site empathy, quality care, emergency care etc. by the way, there was one client left in the waiting room. Where were the remaining of approx fifteen other clients and their pets? read more

Something bad is going on here. A partner vet has come and gone and lately there has been a huge turnover in staff. That in itself says something is amiss. Many new staff are untrained, with the excuse being, "Oh, there hasn't been time." Really? On one recent occasion a high schooler had put our dog's harness on incorrectly, hurting him in the process. (Couldn't she have asked another for assistance if she didn't know how to put it back on?) We subscribed to a coupon program several months ago so as to be able to use it at 4 Paws. For some time we've been repeatedly getting the runaround about having it honored, including getting lies from Dr. Wiggins herself. It took a call to the coupon company for 4 Paws to finally make good on it, although it came with an unheard of letter terminating us as clients (as if we had any intent in continuing to do business with Wiggins & company after the events of recent months). This all smacks of an owner who is undergoing some deep-rooted problems of unknown (to us) origin. Meanwhile her staff and customers are getting the brunt of it. read more

Dr Wiggins and her staff do a great job of taking care of our two dogs and take the time to explain all of the treatment options.

You can tell as soon as you enter the facility that these folks care about every animal they see. Even after months of visiting they still remember ever patient by name. Facility is always spotless and homey. The Vets always give you an honest diagnosis and even give options that may reduce cost. The techs know their stuff, they recommended​ we switch our pups dog food as his food was giving him dry skin and coat issues. Now we use their brand which is not only cheaper and better for him and he absolutely loves it. 5 stars isn't enough they deserve 10. read more

Cannot handle emergency situations or ill animals at all. If you are bringing your animal for yearly visit/vaccines they are okay. They push a lot of vaccines however. I do not believe in vaccinating my dogs to the max but they try to guilt you into it. My son brought his dog in for annual physical and thought he had an ear infection but Dr said no..week later full blown ear infection. My dog was very sick and died ...we do not know what caused this. Of course it was only weeks after the pushing of vaccines my dog became ill... as I do not know why my dog died and cannot blame 4 Paws. But..the scope down the throat Dr Wiggins did she totally misread. Then week later I had him there for his breathing being so bad...Dr White wanted to push steroids (which would have killed him) on him and basically did nothing for him. 3 days later we rushed him to ER Vet and he had aspirated pneumonia. What vet cannot diagnose pneumonia? There was so much more but I could go on forever. I would not recommend this vet to anyone! The girls upfront and the techs were more helpful then the doctors and were always very good to our dogs. Liked this vet/doctors in the beginning but their true colors came out when you bring in sick animals cause they clearly do not know what they are doing and are obviously quacks making a lot of money off of us and are very much undereducated. I think the best one was when my dog had pneumonia practically on his death bed and Wiggins says "if you want to bring him to the university for further testing we can get you right in" REALLY....he has pneumonia and you want me to take him on a 3 hour trip and have them give him anesthesia...OMG!! Needless to say we are taking other 2 dogs out of this place. read more

Dr. Wiggins is the best vet. I have been with her for many many years. She makes going to the vet anxiety free. She was the most amazing supportive vet when my golden retriever was going through chemotherapy at just 3 years old he was my Best friend and we lost him to lymphoma. Dr. Wiggins not only kept Bear feeling healthy and happy the entire year of chemo but she supported me and my entire family through the whole process. I trust Dr. Wiggins 110% she solely cares about my dogs well being and wants to keep the the healthiest they can possibly be. She has her finger of the pulse of the latest break through a in veterinary care as well. We would be totally lost with out her care. BEST vet in the area. read more

Being a pet owner my whole life, going to the vet was always a dreaded experience; that is until I started going to 4 Paws. Between the friendly helpful staff, the caring doctors, and the comfortable atmosphere in the waiting room and patient rooms, I have never felt so at-ease at a vet office! The staff always greets us by name, always with smiles on their faces, eager to help in any way possible. We have two dogs, one older dog and one who is still a puppy, the older one has had separation anxiety issues in the past and we always thought boarding her was out of the question until we saw how comfortable she is here! Our puppy gets so excited that as soon as we pull in the driveway he is crying with joy and wagging his whole butt with excitement! Its the greatest feeling in the world knowing we can leave them here for a long weekend and they will be comfortable, happy, and very well cared for. We have also used them for emergency situations, when our older pup woke up with hives all over her head and they had us come in right away, they kept her for observation for the day and kept us updated and informed. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of care for an animal, our dogs are frequent fliers here and we have never had a less-than spectacular experience.
